The House of Neighborly Service has humbly served San Antonio’s Westside for over 100 years and are intimately connected to this community’s rich culture and history. Sarah is a 2nd generation Chicana born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. She was diagnosed with Stage IV Endometriosis in 2017 and has had a total of 4 surgeries related to her disease. She runs the page @Sicker._than._your._average on Instagram and recently started "Chism-Endo" a monthly support group for individuals with Endometriosis. Her goal is to use her experience as a Latina with Endometriosis to spread awareness, education, build community, and share resources for BIPOC individuals who are also battling this disease. She believes in the power of patient voices and believes we can create accessible, inclusive, and culturally competent Endometriosis care for all.
