In this episode, we discuss new information about the infamous OVH Cloud fire in 2021. It's been about a year and a half since it happened, and we now have reports from the firefighters that were onsite when it happened. Sadly, we still have very little from OVH – and what they have said is BAD. We discuss their only public comment regarding lost backup data, and it's not good. A recent survey by IDC of over 500 companies of various industries and sizes revealed some shocking results, starting with the fact that 47% of them have successfully attacked by ransomware, and 50% of those affected by ransomware also lost data.
