The pair then sum up a summer which saw the USMNT lift two trophies in a matter of 56 days and discuss how the run of matches has prepared the entire player pool as it heads into a gauntlet of World Cup qualifying windows this fall. 

Charlie caught up with the multi-talented Angela Hucles, two-time gold-medal winner with the USWNT, television analyst, LA Real Estate Agent, mother, wife, and now Angel City FC VP of Player Development and Operations. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and through this conversation with Jordan and Charlie, Dr. Bartley provides valuable information on ways everyone who plays or enjoys the beautiful gamecan help combat the stigma around mental health, normalize conversations on the topic and better take care of themselves and others. As part of U.S. Soccer’s Mental Health task force, Dr. Bartley also discussed the ways the Federation is working to raise awareness and provide mental health support to all its constituents, from youth players to National Team players, coaches, referees and even spectators. Ahead of perhaps the biggest game of his young career, USMNT midfielder Brenden Aaronson joined Charlie and Jordan for the latest episode of The U.S. Soccer Podcast. Just four months after his move to Europe, the 20-year-old will seek the first part of the Austrian “Double” as Red Bull Salzburg faces LASK Linz in the ÖFB Austrian Cup on Saturday, May 1. The Medford, N.J. native discussed fighting for two pieces of hardware, the pressure that comes with being the biggest club in the country, and the overall decision to join the Austrian giants above other potential moves. While still in the early stages of his USMNT career, Aaronson had plenty to stay about his first steps with the senior team, reminiscing about his first call-up at age 18, his USMNT debut the following January, what the young group is striving for and the role Gregg Berhalter has played in his development so far.
