One Bread, One Body, One Hope
2026/09/20
Pastor Jonathan concludes the series reminding us of the importance of Holy Communion coming from the book of 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 & 11:23-26 tagging from the title “One Bread, One Body, One Hope.”  1 Corinthians 10:16-17 & 11:23-26 NRSVue  16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.  23 For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.  That'll Preach podcast is a ministry of the Olive Tree Community in Atlanta, Georgia. Those Who Remember!
2026/09/13
Pastor Jonathan Favors-Grimes inspires us to remember our baptisms through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism coming from the book of Romans 6:3-4 from the title “Those Who Remember!” Romans 6:3-4 NRSVue  Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. The Sanctity of Marriage
2026/09/06
Pastor Annie Brooks preaches on the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony from the book of Ephesians 5:21-33 using as a title “The Sanctity of Marriage”.  Ephesians 5:21-33 NRSVue  Wives, be subject to your husbands as to the Lord, 23 for the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. 24 Just as the church is subject to Christ, so also wives ought to be, in everything, to their husbands. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 in order to make her holy by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word, 27 so as to present the church to himself in splendor, without a spot or wrinkle or anything of the kind, so that she may be holy and without blemish. 28 In the same way, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hates his own flesh, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, just as Christ does for the church, 30 because we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I am speaking about Christ and the church. 33 Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband.  That'll Preach podcast is a ministry of the Olive Tree Community in Atlanta, Georgia. From Brokenness to Forgiveness
2026/08/23
The Rev. Aleta McDaniel reminds us that though we are broken we are all children of God through the power of forgiveness. Because of God’s amazing grace we have been reconciled. Using as a title From Brokenness to Forgiveness, Rev. McDaniel preaches from Psalm 51:1-13.  Psalm 51:1-16 NRSVue  Have mercy on me, O God,    according to your steadfast love;according to your abundant mercy,    blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,    and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions,    and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against you, you alone, have I sinned    and done what is evil in your sight,so that you are justified in your sentence    and blameless when you pass judgment. 5 Indeed, I was born guilty,    a sinner when my mother conceived me. 6 You desire truth in the inward being;    therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;    wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Let me hear joy and gladness;    let the bones that you have crushed rejoice. 9 Hide your face from my sins,    and blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,    and put a new and right spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me away from your presence,    and do not take your holy spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,    and sustain in me a willing spirit. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,    and sinners will return to you. Then I will teach transgressors your ways,    and sinners will return to you. That'll Preach podcast is a ministry of the Olive Tree Community in Atlanta, Georgia. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” Matthew 28:16-25 NRSVue  16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him, but they doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age. That'll Preach podcast is a ministry of the Olive Tree Community in Atlanta, Georgia. This episode was written and recorded by the Rev.
