The Rise of Analog Life, Substack & Slow Content
2026/09/20
In this episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I’m talking about something I’ve been feeling for a while: I’m tired of the internet.
From doomscrolling and shrinking attention spans to social media burnout, performative reading, endless subscriptions and the pressure to constantly create, I’ve started wondering if we’re ready to go analog again.
I recently discovered Substack and found myself falling back in love with long-form writing, blogs, essays, reading and actually paying attention. It reminded me of an older internet that felt slower, more personal and a little less exhausting.
So are we entering an analog era? Why are people getting tired of Instagram and constant scrolling? Why are physical books, offline music, iPods, analog diaries and slower forms of content suddenly feeling exciting again? And what does it mean to create online without becoming obsessed with algorithms, numbers and consistency?
I also talk about my own struggle with podcasting, patience and comparison, and why I’m choosing to keep creating even when Kai Pan Aditi hasn’t grown the way I expected it to. Maybe building credibility really is a long game. Maybe sabr and shukr go hand in hand. And maybe being an “idiot in motion” is better than being a genius at rest.
This is a conversation about digital burnout, social media fatigue, Substack, reading, creativity, slow content, going analog, and finding your way back to things you genuinely enjoy.
Have you been feeling tired of social media too? Are you trying to spend less time online or go analog in some way? I’d love to hear what you’re noticing.
Welcome to Kai Pan Aditi — conversations about culture, creativity, the internet, life, ideas and everything in between.

i still miss his hugs...
2026/03/25
Why do we crave hugs so deeply? Is it love, loneliness, or something more human than we admit?
In this episode, I’m talking about missing someone’s hugs, emotional healing, and what it really means to be touch starved in a digital world. This isn’t about going back to an ex—it’s about understanding our need for safe, comforting, physical connection and how it stays with us long after people leave.
From spiraling thoughts, body image struggles, and feeling stuck in life, to wanting independence, travel, and stepping into my “villain era”—this is a raw, unfiltered stream of everything I’ve been feeling lately. Some days I’m strong, some days I just want a hug that makes everything feel okay again.
If you’ve ever:
missed someone’s presence more than the person
felt lonely even when life is moving on
struggled with motivation, self-care, or body image
craved deep emotional and physical connection
…this episode is for you.
We’re not fixing everything today. We’re just being honest. And maybe, that’s enough.

Living With Parents in India: Love, Guilt & Control
2026/03/23
Is moving out selfish? Or is it necessary for growth?
In this episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I’m talking about one of the most controversial topics in Indian households, living with parents vs moving out. After receiving comments questioning why I wouldn’t want to live with in-laws or parents forever, I realized how deeply emotional and cultural this conversation really is.
We’re unpacking:
Why “My house, my rules” becomes suffocating after a point
Why Indian sons are rarely expected to move out
Why women are expected to adjust, relocate, and live with in-laws
The guilt of “We raised you, now you owe us”
How patriarchy shapes family expectations
Why your twenties should be your experimentation phase
Moving out as privilege vs necessity
Mumbai rent, financial pressure & capitalism
Domestic incompetence in men and unpaid labor for women
Why separation is not rejection
Living alone teaches you bills, groceries, loneliness, cooking badly, falling sick alone, emotional maturity, and self-reliance. Growth cannot be outsourced.
We also talk about retirement exposing cracks in marriages, why kids are not responsible for fixing their parents’ relationship, and the double standards when it comes to sons vs daughters moving in with in-laws.
Is moving out abandonment? Or is it adulthood?
If you’ve ever struggled with guilt, independence, family pressure, or carving your own identity in an Indian household, this episode is for you.
Leave a 🌹 if you made it till the end and tell me in the comments: would you move out if you could?

“Didi Aapki Expiry Ho Gayi Hai” – The Ageism Indian Women Face After 30
2026/03/20
A random man commented on my YouTube video:“Didi, aapki expiry ho gayi hai.”
Expired. At 32.
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I’m talking about ageism in Indian arranged marriage culture, the pressure on women over 30 to “settle down,” and why independence is still so threatening in our society.
Why is a single woman in her 30s seen as a failure? Why is peaceful solitude marketed as loneliness? And why does society assume marriage is the only safety net?
We unpack:
Ageism against women in India
The “expiry date” narrative in arranged marriage
Fear of loneliness as a manipulation tactic
“Who will take care of you when you’re old?”
Why independence scares certain men
Being single in Mumbai in your 30s
Marriage vs autonomy: what are we actually choosing?
Bumble, dating culture & modern relationships
Why struggle doesn’t disappear after marriage
Not one woman had an issue with my video. But the internet still believes a woman’s value declines with age.
So let’s entertain the worst-case scenario they imagine:Single. 40. Alone. No husband. No kids.
And then let’s ask —What if that life still has peace? What if solitude isn’t failure? What if marriage isn’t the cure for fear?
This episode is for every woman who has been told she’s “running out of time.”For everyone surviving Mumbai. For anyone questioning whether marriage is a choice or a social deadline.
If you’ve ever been called “expired,” this one’s for you.

Pinterest Trends 2026: Why None of This Works for India
2026/03/18
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I’m asking a serious question:
Where does India stand in global fashion and beauty conversations?
I LOVE Pinterest. I live on it. But when Pinterest Predicts 2026 drops: from nail trends and fragrance layering to vampire aesthetics and brooches, I can’t help but wonder… was the Indian demographic even considered?
Do global trend reports actually apply to India’s climate, culture, buying power, and lifestyle?Or are we just expected to adapt to Western fashion cycles?
In this episode, we unpack:
How Pinterest predicts trends (and whether India is included)
Why Vogue India still feels whitewashed
Why Indian beauty brands aren’t pushed globally
Prada and the Kolhapuri controversy
Fast fashion brands like Zara, Mango & H&M not catering to Indian seasons & body types
Pricing vs Indian income realities
Korean skincare boom in India — hype vs geography & genetics
Is “Made in India” facing a global quality bias?
Why we seek Western validation before valuing our own artisans
We are the most populated country in the world. We are a production hub.We have rich textile heritage, artisans, craftsmanship, and growing D2C beauty brands.
So why are we importing trends instead of exporting them?
What would a fully Indian-centric trend report look like? What if Indian fashion media led global conversations instead of following them?
This episode is a rant, a critique, and a love letter to Indian creativity.
If you care about:
Indian fashion industry
Beauty media bias
Supporting Indian brands
Global trend forecasting
Cultural validation & whitewashing
Then this one’s for you.

Rejected Again: I Applied Everywhere… and Got Rejected.
2026/03/16
Job Hunting in 2026: LinkedIn Ghosting, Rejections & Media Industry Reality
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I’m sharing the real, unfiltered truth about my ongoing job search struggle in India.
From PR agencies and media houses to D2C beauty brands and global companies — I’ve applied everywhere. Got ghosted. Got rejected. Did unpaid or underpaid assignments. And sometimes removed myself from the race entirely.
Let’s talk about:
LinkedIn job applications & why ghosting is the new normal
Trying to break into PR without a traditional journalism background
Media industry hiring politics
Low-paid internships (₹3,000/month in 2026? Seriously?)
Spending hours on assignments only to get a rejection
Is referral hiring the only way left?
Applying for jobs in Dubai, New York & globally
Visa sponsorship realities
Career confusion in your 30s
When rejection becomes content
I also share my experience applying to major PR firms, media brands, YouTube creator companies, acting schools, and D2C startups — and what this entire process has taught me about the modern job market.
Is it about talent anymore?Or is it about networks, referrals, and timing?
If you’re:
Actively job hunting
Switching careers
Trying to enter PR or media
Feeling exhausted from constant rejection
Or questioning your professional path
This episode will feel painfully relatable.
Welcome to the “applying everywhere and hearing nothing back” era.

My Tarot Reader Said I’m in the Wrong Field…
2026/03/13
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I share my deeply personal experience of going for a tarot reading and holistic spiritual counselling in Mumbai — and how it completely shook me.
From past life conversations to career confusion, relationship struggles, mental health, and reclaiming control of my own narrative… this session felt like someone reading my soul.
We spoke about:
Why I keep switching jobs and feeling stuck in my career
Whether I’m in the wrong professional field after 15 years in media
Love, loss & complicated relationships in your 30s
Society’s pressure to get married and have kids
Online trolling & being called “expired” for not following traditional timelines
Mental health, family patterns & why walking daily saves my sanity
Spiritual energy, fragrances & how scent affects vibration
Reclaiming the driver’s seat of your own life
Is tarot just validation psychology — or does it actually help you wake up and realign? Are we letting society dictate what is “acceptable” for our lives? And what happens when someone tells you that you’re in the wrong career entirely?
This episode is about spiritual awakening, personal responsibility, millennial burnout, and questioning everything you thought you knew about your path.
If you’ve ever:
Felt lost in your career
Faced pressure to marry or “settle down”
Struggled with mental health
Wondered if you’re living your life or someone else’s version of it
This one is for you.
Are you a believer in tarot reading or karmic past lives?Do you think spiritual check-ins help with clarity?

I Asked for Friends on Instagram… and Realized We’re All Lonely.
2026/03/11
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I did something vulnerable — I posted on Instagram saying, “I think I need friends.”
And the response? So many women reached out saying they feel the same way.
Is this a millennial friendship crisis?
Why is it so hard to make friends in your 30s?
Why did it feel easier in school and college — and almost impossible now?
In this episode, we unpack:
Adult loneliness in the digital age
Why millennials are struggling to form deep friendships
The disappearance of “third spaces” (home → work → home loop)
Burnout culture & why weekends feel like recovery, not socializing
Social media as a safety net (and maybe the problem)
Forced proximity vs instant “vibe” culture
Different life timelines: marriage, kids, career shifts, healing eras
Is making friends harder… or are we just more exhausted?
From wanting post-work walks for mental health to questioning whether the algorithm connects us better than real life — this is an honest vent about craving connection but not necessarily wanting a “solution.”
No self-help tips. No “join a class” advice. Just real talk about how hard adult friendships feel right now.
If you’re in your late 20s or 30s and quietly wondering why your circle feels smaller… you’re not alone.
Comment and tell me:
👉 Are you struggling to make friends too?
👉 Is this millennial burnout or a social shift?

They Called Me Infamous After I Got Fired
2026/03/09
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, I revisit my old office… and apparently I’ve become “infamous.”
What happens when you go back to a workplace that fired you? The nostalgia, the awkward introductions, the gossip, the politics — and then someone calls you “the infamous Aditi.”
Was it a joke? A slip of the tongue? Or does workplace reputation follow you longer than you think?
In this episode, I open up about:
Office politics in the media industry
Getting fired for a campaign controversy
Gossip culture at work
Being portrayed as the “villain” after you leave
Why we care so much about what former colleagues think
Holding grudges vs healing
Job interviews, rejection & career uncertainty
Is getting fired sometimes a blessing in disguise?
I also talk about interviewing for a 6-month contract role (₹2 lakh/month), getting rejected again, and navigating career setbacks while feeling broke but hopeful.
If you’ve ever:
Been fired
Felt misunderstood at work
Worried about your professional reputation
Faced constant job rejection
Or dealt with toxic managers
This episode will feel painfully relatable.
Sometimes your character arc grows when you accept the narrative, even if it’s “infamous.”

The Politics of Hair in India: Beauty Standards, Patriarchy & Women’s Identity
2026/03/06
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, we’re talking about something deeply personal — yet deeply political: hair.
Hair is identity. Hair is confidence. Hair is rebellion. Hair is control. From being denied a haircut because “ladka wale won’t like it” to being told to color greys so you stay “attractive,” women’s hair has never just been about style — it has always been about power.
We unpack the politics of hair in India, including:
The meaning behind the Mundan ceremony (Chaula) and early cultural conditioning
Why long hair is tied to “femininity” and short hair to “rebellion”
Greys on men vs greys on women — the aging double standard
Baldness, beauty, and gender hypocrisy
Caste, religion, and hair as a social marker
The billion-dollar beauty industry profiting off women’s insecurity
Body policing: waxing, threading, coloring, “looking presentable”
From temple hair offerings to workplace appearance expectations, hair is rarely just a personal choice in India — it’s a social statement that’s constantly monitored and judged.
Why is aging “distinguished” for men but a “failure” for women? Why is a woman’s self-worth still attached to her hair length or color? And who benefits from these beauty standards?
This episode is a raw conversation about patriarchy, autonomy, self-worth, and reclaiming agency over our bodies.
If my worth changes with my hair, maybe the problem isn’t my hair.
New episodes drop every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 11:11 AM.
Tell me in the comments:👉 Has your hair ever been policed or criticized?👉 Do you think hair is still political in 2026?

Why Do I Always Think the Worst? Anxiety, Hypervigilance & Women’s Safety in India
2026/03/04
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, we’re talking about something so many of us experience but rarely say out loud — constantly thinking the worst-case scenario.
Walking on the road and imagining accidents. Standing on a railway platform and thinking, “What if I fall?” Traveling alone and scanning every person, every dark lane, every exit. Is this anxiety? Hyper vigilance? A trauma response? Or simply the survival instinct of being a woman in today’s world?
We unpack:
Why we catastrophize small situations
Hyper vigilance and the nervous system always being “on”
The mental load of women’s safety in India
Self-sabotage and fear of good things happening
Rewiring your brain from worst-case to what-if-everything-works-out
Is the world actually more dangerous, or are we just more aware?
Has positivity become a privilege?
From sharing live locations and holding keys between fingers to avoiding both earphones outside — this episode dives into the constant mental checklist women carry every single day.
If you struggle with overthinking, anxiety in public spaces, negative thought patterns, or questioning whether your brain is protecting you or sabotaging you — this conversation will feel personal.
Let’s talk about:👉 Is hyper vigilance a trauma response even without “big” trauma?👉 Do you also battle worst-case thinking daily?👉 How do you reprogram your brain toward hope without ignoring reality?
New episodes drop every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 11:11 AM.
You’re not alone. Let’s figure this out together.
Why Social Media Marketing Is the Worst Job in India (AI, Low Pay & Virality Pressure)
2026/03/02
In today’s episode of Kai Pan Aditi, we’re talking about the harsh reality of social media marketing in India, the burnout, the low pay, the pressure to go viral, and now… competing with AI.
Is being a social media manager or content creator actually sustainable in 2026? Or are we heading toward massive creator burnout and content fatigue?
From constant rejections to unrealistic expectations, from managers who’ve never built an audience to brands demanding viral content on a 15–23k salary, this episode is an honest rant about what it really takes to survive in the marketing and content world.
We break down:
The myth of virality (and why it doesn’t build loyal communities)
AI vs human creators: are we competing with machines now?
The mental health impact of doom scrolling & trend chasing
Overpopulation in the Indian content market: how do you even stand out?
Why creative jobs are still not seen as “real jobs” in India
Managerial hypocrisy in corporate marketing
What happens when everyone becomes a creator?
If you work in digital marketing, content creation, influencer marketing, or you’re trying to build your own brand, this episode will hit home.
New March 2026 episodes drop every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 11:11 AM.
Happy Holi, stay safe and let’s begin. 🌍

Life in between #14: Period Rage, Unemployment, Marriage Pressure & Losing Yourself at 33
2026/02/01
Welcome to another episode of Life In Between — a brutally honest, unfiltered diary of being almost 33, unemployed, emotionally exhausted, hormonally unhinged, and trying to make sense of life while everything feels stuck.
This episode is messy, angry, funny, and deeply vulnerable. From period rage and family pressure to find a job or get married, to navigating arranged marriage conversations that feel more like HR rejection emails, I talk about what it feels like to exist in a body and mind that’s tired of compromising.
We talk about:
Being a woman in her 30s dealing with unemployment, dependence, and identity loss
The emotional toll of arranged marriage expectations and mismatched values
Why money, ambition, and independence still make people uncomfortable
Burnout from a job that broke me emotionally and mentally
Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and questioning your worth and creativity
Why modern social media feels less like community and more like propaganda
Wanting connection, depth, and relationships that actually last
Rebellion through tattoos, hair, and self-expression
The quiet grief of not getting what you want — and learning to sit with it
This episode isn’t polished. It isn’t motivational. It’s a real-time spiral, a rebellion against silence, and a reminder that sometimes podcasting is the only place you’re allowed to say the things you can’t say out loud.
At the heart of it all is one simple truth:Sometimes all you want is a hug that tells you life is still worth living.
Keywords:life in between podcast, unemployment in 30s, arranged marriage pressure India, women mental health, burnout recovery, imposter syndrome, dating fatigue, identity crisis, feminist podcast India, emotional vulnerability
Marriage Is Not Security. Owning Property Is.
2026/01/29
Owning a home as an Indian woman is not a luxury. It’s power, protection, and permanence.
In this episode, I talk about why buying a flat or property in my own name is deeply personal—and deeply political. From being financially dependent on parents in your 30s, to being told that a woman’s real stability comes only after marriage, this conversation unpacks the quiet ways patriarchy controls housing, wealth, and autonomy.
We grow up watching men inherit homes while women are expected to move—from their parents’ house to their husband’s house—without ever truly owning either. And when things fall apart, women are often left with no property, no security, and no bargaining power.
This episode covers:
Why marriage is not financial security for women
The emotional and psychological shift that comes with owning property
How property ownership changes boundaries, confidence, and decision-making
The fear of living at someone else’s mercy—and why that fear is valid
Real estate as long-term wealth building for women
Why Indian women should use every advantage available: lower stamp duty, tax benefits, and better home-loan optics
This is not about “settling down.”It’s about making sure you never have to settle—in relationships, family dynamics, or life choices.
Owning a home isn’t just an asset. It’s a statement:My presence here is unquestionable.
Keywords:women home ownership India, property in woman’s name, financial independence for women, patriarchy and property, real estate for women, marriage vs security, women and wealth, buying a house in India
