Horticulturist, Certified Arborist, Author, Sales Associate and Auctioneer Stan is known as “Mr. Green Thumb”, a Florida native, an accomplished horticulturist, and author of Stan DeFreitas’ Complete Guide To Florida Gardening, No. 10 in garden book history. A TV personality with a show on PBS for 12 yrs. and 2 seasons on CBS, with many appearances on Bay News 9 and daytime TV shows as a garden guru. Stan, along with his son, James make up the dynamic duo for Berkshire Hathaway’s Florida Properties Group Auction division. JAMES DEFREITAS, P.A. A Florida native, James has a long history in Real Estate.  He was originally licensed in the state of South Carolina in 2003, but due to the reciprocity laws moved back to Florida to become a broker passing the real estate brokers exam in 2005. In 2009, he graduated with a B.A. from the University of South Florida, magna cum laude. His time is split between working with his father on horticultural cases of eminent domain and helping clients to sell real estate properties through the Berkshire Hathaway Florida Properties Group, the Auction Division.
