In this episode, Professor Marc Defant from the University of South Florida shared with me his thoughts about Göbekli Tepe--where it is located, the site's original purpose, and who built it. Professor Defant talked about his focus on scientific methods and addressed some issues pertaining to the claims of a "lost civilization" and the "City of Atlantis." He also talked about other archaeological sites such as Easter Island and Serpent Mound, and shared some advice for students of geology. As a result, President Trump has imposed 50 percent tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian products. More tariffs have been announced for 2027. Canada has also announced retaliatory tariffs. Right now, there is a major crisis in the Canadian economy, as a result of Canada's refusal to sign a trade agreement with the United States. It is likely that Canada will face significant challenges going forward. In this episode, I discuss the matter.
