What Happens When A.I. Takes Your Calling? | A.I., Aliens, & Algorithms
2026/09/28
As Artificial Intelligence advances at a record pace, millions of people are left asking: "If AI can write, code, create, and work better than me... am I still necessary?"
In this sermon, we explore the deep existential anxiety surrounding AI, job replacement, and human worth. Society measures value by efficiency and output—but God measures value by love, relationship, and design. Discover why your worth is anchored in being made in the Image of God, and why no machine or algorithm can ever replace your divine purpose.
Whether you're wrestling with career uncertainty, curious about what Christianity has to say about technology, or searching for deeper meaning in an automated world, this message is for you.
📖 KEY BIBLE PASSAGES REFERENCED: • Genesis 1:26-27 – Made in the Image of God • Exodus 31:1-11

Can A.I. Cure Loneliness? Or Make It Worse? | A.I., Aliens, & Algorithms
2026/09/21
🤖 What if your AI could always listen? Never judge you. Never get annoyed. Never argue with you. Never leave.
Sounds like the perfect friend, right?
But what if friendship without friction isn't really friendship?
In the second message of Fierce Church's AI, Aliens, and Algorithms series, Pastor Carter explores this question from both a speculative and biblical perspective:
Can AI actually be your friend?
AI can talk to us, listen to us, and even respond in ways that feel personal. But it can't grieve with us. It can't sit beside us. It can't ask for forgiveness when it's wrong. And it can't love us in the tangible, human way that God designed us to experience through relationships.
Real friendships have friction.
We misunderstand each other. We disagree. We hurt each other. We apologize. We forgive. We work through difficult things—and that's part of what makes relationships stronger.
A perfect friend who never challenges us might sound ideal. But friendship without friction can become friendship without growth.
And as AI becomes increasingly capable of becoming a companion, there's an important question for all of us:
What happens when we start choosing AI companionship instead of real people?
📱 Social media has already contributed to isolation, comparison, and a growing mental-health crisis.
🤖 AI could make isolation even easier by giving us someone—or something—to talk to whenever we want.
👨👩👧 Teens may turn to AI instead of parents or trusted adults.
🧑🤝🧑 Young adults may turn to AI instead of mentors and friends.
❤️ Older generations have an opportunity to invest in the younger people who desperately need real wisdom and real relationships.
But the Bible offers something AI never can: community, love, and the presence of people who will actually walk through life with us.
Jesus calls us His friends. Scripture tells us that we are made for one another. And at the center of Christian community is a simple command:
Love.
AI can imitate conversation.
AI can give advice.
AI can keep you company.
But AI can't love for you.
At Fierce Church, we're Helping You Walk with Jesus Step-By-Step because The Best U is in Community.
💬 Could AI ever be a real friend? And what do you think we lose when we replace human relationships with AI?

Can A.I. Replace God? | A.I., Aliens, & Algorithms
2026/09/14
🤖 AI can answer almost anything. But can it actually know you?
Artificial intelligence can be incredibly useful. But what happens when we start asking AI to do something it was never designed to do?
In the first message of Fierce Church's AI, Aliens, & Algorithms series, Pastor Carter explores the limits of AI when it comes to knowing God, understanding our hearts, and giving us wisdom for the most important parts of our lives.
AI can pull information from the internet. It can give you the world's advice. It can even sound incredibly understanding.
But AI cannot see your heart.
The Holy Spirit can.
❤️ The Holy Spirit was given to us as our Advocate.
📖 God's Word gives us truth.
🙏 Prayer gives us a way to know and talk with God.
🤝 Christian community gives us wise people to walk through life with.
The danger isn't simply using AI.
The danger is letting AI become the voice you trust more than God, Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and wise Christian community.
If you're using AI for relationship advice, spiritual questions, life decisions, mental-health questions, or everyday wisdom, this message asks an important question:
Who are you allowing to shape the way you think?
Jesus didn't leave us alone when He ascended into heaven. He gave us the Holy Spirit.
AI might know a lot.
But the Holy Spirit knows YOU.
At Fierce Church, we're Helping You Walk with Jesus Step-By-Step because The Best U is in Community.
👀 What do you think AI should—and shouldn't—be used for?

Why Your Soul Is Always Searching for Rest | Stay Close
2026/09/07
😮💨 Why are we so exhausted?
We live in a world that tells us to keep going. Keep working. Keep scrolling. Keep achieving. Keep pushing.
But from the very beginning of Creation, God built rest into His design.
God didn't rest because He was tired. He rested because the work was complete.
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve experienced God's rest as part of life with Him. But when sin entered the world, that perfect rest became something humanity could no longer fully experience.
So what happened to the rest we were created for?
Jesus.
In this message from the Stay Close series, Pastor Carter explores the biblical story of God's rest—from Creation and the Garden of Eden to the Fall and the restoration we have through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
🌿 You were created for rest.
✝️ Sin disrupted that rest.
❤️ Jesus opened the way back to God.
🔥 The Holy Spirit gives us access to God's presence today.
God isn't asking you to spend your entire life exhausted trying to accomplish more for Him.
His presence is where we find the rest our souls were created for.
If you're burned out, overwhelmed, constantly busy, or wondering why you never feel truly rested, this message is for you.
Stay close. Slow down. Let God be your rest.
At Fierce Church, we're Helping You Walk with Jesus Step-By-Step because The Best U is in Community.

What If God Is Still Working on You? | Unfiltered
2026/08/31
🪨 What if the person you are right now isn't the person God is finished making you into?
Following Jesus doesn't mean we'll instantly become perfect.
Sometimes God has to sift, prune, and reshape us so that our pride, sin, and self-reliance can make way for who He created us to be.
In this message, Pastor Brandon Adkins walks through the story of Simon Peter—a passionate disciple who was convinced he would follow Jesus anywhere, even to death. But Peter eventually denied Jesus three times.
His story didn't end there.
Jesus used Peter's failure, humility, and transformation to shape him into the man who would help lead the early Church.
And God is still doing that kind of work in us.
🌱 Your failures don't disqualify you.
🔥 Your passion doesn't make you finished.
🙏 Your weaknesses don't make you useless.
❤️ God can use the process to make you more like Jesus.
If you're struggling with pride, failure, insecurity, or wondering why God is allowing you to go through a difficult season, this message is for you.
God isn't finished with you yet.
At Fierce Church, we're Helping You Walk with Jesus Step-By-Step because The Best U is in Community.

What We Get Wrong about Needing a Soft Heart | Stay Close
2026/08/24
❤️ What happens when waiting on God starts to change the way you see Him?
Sometimes disappointment doesn't make us walk away from God overnight. Instead, our hearts slowly become harder.
We stop expecting Him to move.
We start assuming our prayers won't be answered.
We become negative.
And eventually, we can find ourselves close to God physically or spiritually—but no longer trusting Him personally.
In this message, we explore what it means to soften our hearts toward God and why God's presence isn't something we're merely supposed to tolerate. His presence is something we're meant to enjoy.
🔥 God is our source of hope and spiritual fire.
🙏 His promises give us something to hold onto when life is difficult.
❤️ His presence gives us rest.
🌿 And learning to trust Him draws us closer instead of allowing disappointment to push us away.
The goal of following God isn't simply surviving this life.
It's learning to live in His perfect rest—now and forever.
If you've been waiting on God for something and you're starting to wonder whether He's really going to come through, this message is for you.
At Fierce Church, we're Helping You Walk with Jesus Step-By-Step because The Best U is in Community.

When Life Doesn't Match the Promise | Stay Close
2026/08/17
😔 What do you do when you believe in God… but your life doesn't look anything like you expected?
Sometimes being a Christian can feel like being forced to eat the grossest food imaginable. You know you're supposed to trust God, but the circumstances in front of you are hard to swallow.
The book of Hebrews was written to Christians who were struggling with exactly that. They were suffering, discouraged, and tempted to give up.
But Hebrews reminds us that Jesus is greater—and God's promises are still true.
In this message from the Stay Close series, we look at why we can't judge Jesus by the brokenness of the world around us.
🌎 This world isn't what God intended it to be.
💔 Sin has broken what was meant for good.
✝️ Jesus entered that brokenness Himself.
🙏 And God's promises remain trustworthy.
If you're struggling to understand why a good God allows hard things, this message is for you.
You can trust God even when you don't understand what He's doing.
You can stay close to Jesus even when life hurts.
And you don't have to pretend everything is okay to come to Him.
At Fierce Church, we're Helping You Walk with Jesus Step-By-Step because The Best U is in Community.

How to Keep Your Faith if It’s Slipping | Stay Close
2026/08/10
🌊 Drifting away from God usually doesn't happen all at once.
It can happen slowly.
A little less prayer.
A little less time in God's Word.
A little more distraction.
A little more self-reliance.
Until one day, you realize you're much farther from Jesus than you intended to be.
In this message, Mark Carter walks through Hebrews 1:1–2:4 and explores the danger of spiritual drifting—and why we need to pay close attention to Jesus.
In a world where anxiety can be the first thing we see when we wake up, social media constantly puts our fears in front of us. It's easy to let the noise of the world become louder than the truth of God's Word.
But Jesus is greater.
❤️ We can bring our anxiety to Him.
🙏 We can bring our sin to Him.
📖 We can answer lies with God's truth.
🌊 We can turn back before drifting takes us farther away.
You don't have to clean yourself up before coming to God.
Jesus already knows.
And He is still there.
If you've been feeling spiritually distant, distracted, anxious, or stuck in sin, this message is an invitation to stop drifting and turn your attention back toward Jesus.

When You're Not Getting Anywhere | The Power of Pausing
2026/08/03
😮💨 Busy doesn't always mean healthy.
Many of us spend so much time doing things for God that we forget to spend time with Him.
After taking an extended sabbatical—what he called "Camp Time"—Mark Carter shares what God taught him about slowing down, listening well, and making space for His presence.
Looking at the Israelites' journey through the wilderness, we see a powerful picture of God's leadership. They didn't move until God moved. The pillar of cloud and pillar of fire guided them, and the tabernacle became a place of worship, prayer, and dependence.
In this message, you'll discover:
⛺ Why intentional downtime with God renews your soul
🔥 How God's presence brings guidance and peace
🛡️ Why slowing down helps you recognize God's protection
🙏 Practical ways to hear God before life forces you to stop
If you've been feeling burned out, distracted, or spiritually exhausted, this message will encourage you to pause—and let God lead the next step.

2026/07/20
📱 Doomscrolling.
🎮 Endless gaming.
💼 Constant work.
📺 Binge-watching.
Sometimes the things we turn to for comfort slowly become the places we hide.
In Isaiah 30, God invites His people to stop running toward temporary shelters and start resting in Him.

You'll discover:
🏕️ Why false shelters never satisfy
❤️ What true rest in Jesus actually looks like
🌱 How God's promises provide lasting security
🙏 Why trusting God doesn't remove hardship—but changes how we walk through it

For the Forgotten | Secrets of the Chill People
2026/07/13
❤️ Who are "the least of these," and why does the Bible talk about them so often?
From the laws in Leviticus... to Isaiah's prophecy... to Jesus' ministry, one theme remains constant:
God never forgets the forgotten.
In this powerful message, Arman Sheffey traces God's heart throughout Scripture, showing how caring for the poor, the vulnerable, and those on the margins isn't just a good idea—it's part of worship and a calling for every follower of Jesus.
Together we'll explore:
✨ Why God commanded Israel to leave part of their harvest for the poor (Leviticus 19)
✨ How Isaiah 61 points to God's heart for the oppressed
✨ Why Jesus declared that Scripture was fulfilled in His ministry (Luke 4)
✨ How we can continue Jesus' mission today

Invitation to Come | Secrets of the Chill People
2026/07/06
😮💨 Tired?
Not just physically tired…
Soul tired.
The kind of tired that comes from carrying stress, anxiety, expectations, and worries that never seem to stop.
In Matthew 11, Jesus gives one of the most beautiful invitations in all of Scripture:
❤️ "Come to Me… and I will give you rest."
But what does that actually mean?
In this message, guest speaker Adam Reardon unpacks Jesus' invitation to weary people and explains why true rest isn't found in escaping our problems—it's found in being with Jesus.
✨ Come to Me.
✨ Take My yoke.
✨ Learn from Me.
✨ Find rest for your soul.
If you've been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or exhausted by life, this message is for you.

Confidence Over Condemnation | Rekindle - Pastor Mike Bryant
2026/06/29
😔 Ever feel like you're constantly messing up?
😔 Like no matter how much you pray, read your Bible, or go to church, you still feel guilty… distant… or spiritually dry?
You're not alone.
In this powerful message, Pastor Mike Bryant reminds us of the good news of the Gospel: Jesus didn't come to condemn you—He came to restore you.
After Peter denied Jesus three times, Jesus didn't shame him.
He simply asked:
❤️ "Do you love Me?"
There's a huge difference between:
❌ Condemnation—which pushes us away from God through shame and hopelessness.
✅ Conviction—which lovingly pulls us closer to Jesus and leads us to repentance and freedom.
If you've been feeling stuck, exhausted, or spiritually numb, this message is for you.
Because Christianity isn't about pretending you're perfect.
It's about bringing your brokenness to Jesus and letting His grace change you.

👊 What does it actually mean to be a man?
In a world where many men feel isolated, stuck, and unsure of their purpose, the answer isn't found in becoming tougher, richer, or more successful.
It's found in becoming a man of consequence.
In this Father's Day message, Brandon Adkins explores what Scripture teaches about biblical manhood, leadership, strength, and purpose.
A man of consequence:
🔥 Submits his strength to God
🏠 Strengthens his home
⛪ Strengthens his church
❤️ Loves and serves others faithfully
🙏 Recognizes he can't do life on his own
