Hi guys and welcome back to the mystery comedy old time radio podcast. Please welcome back to the show as we continue our spooktober presentation part 3. Miss Alice Fay and Mr Phil Harris in the Alice Fay and Phil Harris show part 4. I know it\'s been a while since I dropped you guys an episode I do sincerely apologize I\'ve been very busy with my personal life and work life. But I\'m back for tonight and tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night as we wrap up our spooktober part 3 presentation. I hope you guys have enjoyed your October so far and the nice cool weather. But please join me as we bring to the show Phil Harris and Alice Fay. In this first episode we find their daughters Phyllis and baby Alice trying to figure out what they want to wear to a costume party that they\'re attending when they decide on an Indian costume their mother thinks that\'s a great idea. So when both parents are gone the girls have an idea that Phyllis will cut baby Alice\'s hair. But when their dad comes he shocked to find his daughter in that condition so to keep him out of the hot seat his friend has an idea. To cut his daughter\'s hair to even it out but unfortunately does it not even out it freaks out their mother when she comes home and screams as she sees her daughter looking like a mannequin. So the girls go to their party with wigs on their hair to fix up the mess that their dad made. And it is called the costume party. In this next episode we find the couple trying to decide what the theme and costumes are going to be for their Halloween party that they\'re hosting as they go through the singing Alice has had enough of one guys singing and it\'s not her husband. So her husband and her end up not only hosting but providing the musical entertainment for the evening. And it is called the Halloween party. And welcome to spooktober part 3 I hope you guys had a wonderful summer and now that the weather is cooling down it is time to bring back something now chill your spines. Join me as I bring to the show Ms Mercedes mccambridge and two other shows in death makes a phone call. In this first episode we find a man who is being tormented by his wife who died a year ago. Every hour on the hour she calls him on the phone and tells him how many hours he\'s got to live. It is called beyond the grave and then this next episode we find that a husband has told his wife that he wants a phone line to be installed in his coffin when he passes away. But his wife is so loyal that she does what her husband asked her to do and waits by the phone until the unthinkable happens when someone knocks at her door and she sees standing before her a man that she thought was dead whom she had Loved before. So she is contemplating in her mind whether to stay and wait for her husband\'s call or follow her heart\'s desire. But unfortunately for the man in the coffin the phone is left ringing until the very end and it is called the line is dead. In this final episode we find a woman who has been tormented by her husband\'s phone calls and ends up getting caught up in a web of corruption when she corrupts herself to confessing to the murder of her husband. But her husband is calling her every hour on the hour and telling her how many hours she has to live and torments her with a song that he played when he was alive. When all the sudden a horrible sight before is your eyes as a strange man comes in in order to his food. But his face it\'s horribly disfigured you may think that this is a prank but for Mr Bailey it is all true. And the title of this episode is called short order. Another question guys have you ever been to a restaurant where everything looks nice on the inside but you never know what\'s going on inside the mind of the man Behind the Counter who is cooking your food. until the unthinkable happens and he poisons your food and it makes you unconscious for Mrs Russell a late night meal after work turns into a night of pure horror. Hi guys and welcome back to the mystery and comedy old time radio podcast. Please join me as we welcome in his first episode on the show Mr Cary Grant. Mr Grant started his career out in the 1930s appearing in many movies before receiving an honorary mention for an Academy Award in the 1942 movie Penny Serenade and none but the Lonely Heart. Even though Mr Grant never received an Academy Award until 1970 when he received an honorary award for his film career. Mr Grant also received a Kennedy honor award in 1980. Before passing away in 1982. But tonight Mr Grant comes to the show to chill our spines in two episodes of suspense. In this first episode he plays a man who has taken a nasty fall on the street and ends up in a coma but ends up coming to with a lot of people around him. When they tell the man that it is December instead of July he comes to realize that he has lost about 3 years of his life. So when he tries to go home a detective is following him home to try to capture him for a murder that he did not even remember doing. So with the help of his wife they end up going to the house where the murder took place. But it\'s not until later that he ends up finding out that the murderer is closer to him then he could ever imagine. It is called the black curtain. In this next episode Mr Grant plays a married man who is coming back from a picnic with his wife when all the sudden it begins to rain and a News Bulletin is on the radio so they listen in. As the news broadcaster tells the breaking news of woman who escaped from in Asylum and is murdering people as they pick her up. So the couple ends up driving until they run out of gas when all the sudden out of the pitch black darkness they see a woman who they believe to be the crazy woman and she ends up getting in their car. But it\'s not until later that they find out that the crazy woman has been captured. It is called on a country road. In this first episode we find that Katie the maid is singing when she tells Liz that the mailman came early. Liz helps her bill from Miller\'s department store it\'s not in the mail but unfortunately for Liz it is and George her husband is not very happy with her. So Liz tries to tell George that he needs to ask his friend and boss Mr Atterbury for a raise. But George is not very persistent when asking his boss for one. So Liz comes up with her own ideas on how to get Georgia raise. But unfortunately for Liz it does not work out. It is called George gets a raise. And in this next episode we find the Coopers once again in their kitchen when Katie starts singing Happy Birthday to Liz. But Liz tries to not remember her birthday because it just reminds her how much older she\'s getting. But unfortunately for her husband George he has completely forgotten that it was Liz\'s birthday. So with help from their friend and George\'s boss Mr atterberry. They both throw her a surprise birthday party at her house. But George has invited his mom\'s friends to celebrate her birthday instead of Liz\'s. So they all pretend that it\'s Liz\'s birthday party and Liz has the time of her life. Hi guys and welcome back to the mystery and comedy old time radio podcast a Spotify original. Please join me as we continue women\'s month with the queen of comedy herself Ms Lucille ball as she comes to chill our spines. In this first episode Ms ball plays a woman who is a secretary. When all the sudden her long-time boyfriend and fiance ends up breaking their 5-year engagement. So she ends up driving down the road and down the major highway through the southeast of Texas. When all the sudden some breaking news comes over the radio that there was a robbery and a shooting in Abilene at a bank. So she ends up finding out that the police are looking for a red-headed woman and a dark haired Latino male who are the suspects. So as she\'s driving down the road she ends up stopping to pick up a man on the side of the road and takes them to his truck. His truck said a hotel so she ends up checking in for the night. In the middle of the night he ends up hearing a couple argue and the arguments stops when the woman\'s voice is no longer heard. And it is called the red-headed woman and co-starring with Ms ball is her real life husband Desi arnaz. And in the second episode Miss Ball plays a young woman who is on her way after a long day at work home. So she takes the subway to get home when all the sudden someone gets her purse. So a great man ends up bringing back her purse but when she opens it up. she realizes it contains a lot of money. So as she\'s writing the subway home a man whistles Yankee Doodle the whole way. Until he ends up following her home. And it is called the 10 grand. I hope you guys enjoy Ms Lucille Ball and Mr Desi arnaz in our first episode.
