👨🏻NEW EPISODE👨🏻 The boys are back at it this week with our newest episode “Mostly Daddy”. Being a dad is an immense responsibility, one that all four of us know, specifically being girl dads. So this week we sat down and discussed our unique upbringings and how they have factored into how we parent today. We break down what biblical fatherhood means to us, and how biblical parenthood was conveyed to us growing up. We share our fears and anxieties while also offering advice that we’ve learned along the way so far. There’s also some shocking scripture references on parenting that many of us have overlooked 😂🫢

We share about some of our struggles in marriage. We talk about therapy and counseling. And we do our best to give practical advice based upon lessons learned in our own marriages. Sex & Purity Culture: The Youth Group Experience Youth Group. Those were some formative years. Most of us probably look back at them fondly. We think of trips to the beach, theme parks, and if you were “charismatic” the circus, other wise known as RAMP. We think of lock-ins, dodgeball, & “murder”. Some people call it mafia. But they are wrong. We think about our first crushes and heartbreaks. Mixtapes on burnt cd’s with vague Christian love songs. Were they about Jesus or a jilted lover? No one knows. Plus promise rings and purity pledges. But…What if those were rose tinted glasses glossed by nostalgia? What about the crushing weight of Purity Culture? The well intended but misguided sermons (or lack thereof) about sex and hormones. What if the majority of the youth group generation hold soul scars from a culture of misguided guilt, shame, & warped of sex and gender roles. What if accidental misogyny and double standards formed what many thought to be scriptural foundations in our minds? This week we break down sex and purity culture, how they interact and what our experience was in it. We weigh the pros and the cons and reflect on what worked and what didn’t. As we reflect, we offer some advice going forward to help remedy some of flaws of yesteryear.

Charismania: The Fire & the Fame. If anyone has spent any amount of time in a “Charismatic” church chances are high you’ve experienced miraculous breakthrough and varying levels of arguable insanity. Whether that insanity is a pastor yelling “shamma llama ding dong” while trying to hit with a holy suplex, or simply someone coming up to you and saying “thus sayeth lord” and attempting to impart direct word from God himself to you. Unfortunately, the insanity typically outweighs the breakthrough for many. But for those who stay, discern, and grow the life in which “Charismania” brings is unrivaled. This week, we break down just what “Charismatic” means, why we believe in the full workings and power of the Holy Spirit, and how to use discernment when the “Divine” does happen. We also discuss why so much abuse, scandal, manipulation happens amongst this set of believers and the why behind it. Plus, we share some of favorite charismatic stories (you definitely want to hear these) and Garrett does a mean Hulk Hogan impression. Check it out! Dirty Jesus: The Divine Dance of Grace & Sin. The LGBTQ Community. Abortion. Porn. “Woke”Ideology. Is it possible for Jesus to be in the midst of these “sins”, working, moving, healing, restoring, and loving? Can you be a disciple of Christ and struggle with these sins? It’s a lot to unpack and we do our best to share our thoughts on where and how we should answer these questions. Things get intimate. Souls are laid bare. Divorcing Trump: A Plea to End Christian Nationalism. Political fanaticism has been alive and well in the church for decades, but over these last 8 years it’s been at a fever pitch. In many ways, and for many people, it’s been elevated to point of idolatry, giving way to a false Messiah, one that rides a red elephant and sits on the throne of the White House. Trump “the man” isn’t the issue, it’s the spirit of a false political gospel that’s been swept in with this polarizing personality. NOW WAIT. Lest you think we are dogpiling on Trump, we aren’t, just the spirit of Trump, most of us align on the conservative side of things. We just want to see the Gospel be priority again. Jesus back on the throne of our minds and the king of hearts. This week we break down how to navigate this political discourse and keep Jesus at the center despite the constant turmoil. There is no easy answer, and we all don’t agree, but the conversation is rooted in love, something many are missing today. Whether you’re on the left or right, this episode is for you.

What Women Want: Scripture or Misogyny? Lol, k. First of all it’s not lost on us that we had a whole episode discussing women in leadership and didn’t have a woman on the panel. Small oversight…ANYWAY… This week we were joined by guest host Zachary Griffin as we tried to answer the age old question about women’s role in the church, specifically in regard to serving in leadership capacities, including pastoral roles. Pulpit or Kitchen? What does Jesus say? 😂

Oh, Hell!? Yeah, we finally talked about, but what do we really believe about this fiery inferno? Is it a biblical fact or an ancient fiction? This week we break down our personal beliefs, what the scripture says, why so many are abandoning the idea of Hell, and debate if it’s a core piece of a believers theology or not. Plus, we talk about Jonathans Disney hospitalization, JP accidentally creates a new word, and Garrett’s toes seem to have a mind of their own.
