We’re all looking for something to satisfy us. We were created with deep longings for meaning, purpose, love, and fulfillment, but what we look to for satisfaction matters. In Jeremiah 2:11–13, God reveals how we can turn good longings toward worthless substitutes. Looking isn’t the problem. Where we look is. As we continue 'You’re Looking for Jesus,' discover how our core longings can lead us toward idolatry and why Jesus alone can truly satisfy. You’re looking for Jesus, and He’s closer than you think.

Everyone is looking for something. We long for truth, goodness, beauty, hope, and purpose, but our blindness can keep us from seeing what’s right in front of us. The good news is that Jesus is closer than we think. In John 9, Jesus heals a man born blind and reveals a deeper reality: everyone is blind in some way. Everyone is looking, but not everyone wants to see. And true sight comes when we encounter Jesus. As we begin this new message series, You’re Looking for Jesus, discover what John 9 teaches us about spiritual blindness, faith, and seeing Jesus clearly. You’re looking for Jesus and He’s closer than you think.

What does God have next for Woodside Bible Church? As we enter our eighth decade of ministry, people are more open to the Gospel than we’ve seen in years. They’re looking for Jesus and He’s closer than they think.  In this Vision Sunday message, Senior Pastor Chris Brooks shares the vision for Woodside’s future. God is positioning our church to help more people see Jesus, make disciples, and impact our communities in the years ahead. Join us as we step into what God has next for our church family.

What do we do when God’s plans take longer than we expected? In 2 Samuel 5, David finally becomes king after years of waiting, showing that God is faithful to finish what He starts. In Part 4 of God Has a Plan, discover how God works in His timing and remains true to His promises, even when the journey takes longer than we anticipated.

Will you seize the moment, or trust in God's plan for your life? In this week's message, we explore 1 Samuel 24 and Matthew 26, seeing how David and Jesus chose trust over control in moments of great pressure. Discover with us how to refuse compromise, repay with good, and surrender to God's will, trusting His timing rather than taking matters into your own hands.

Where do we turn when life feels uncertain and we need security? In 1 Samuel 22, David finds himself in a cave, but God meets him there. In Part 2 of God Has a Plan, discover how God delivers, provides, and guides us when we feel uncertain, reminding us that our deepest need for security is ultimately met in Him.

How does God choose differently than we do? In 1 Samuel 16, God reminds Samuel that He does not define success by outward appearances. In Part 1 of God Has a Plan, discover what David's anointing teaches us about trusting God's plan, redefining success, and recognizing that God sees potential and purpose where others may not.

What happens when we refuse to repent of sin? In Judges 16:4–22, Samson's relationship with Delilah reveals the consequences of unrepentant sin. What begins with compromise ultimately leaves him disarmed, deceived, and devastated. This message explores how sin always costs more than it promises and points us to the hope of repentance, God's grace, and the freedom found in wholehearted obedience to Him.

What controls your decisions: fear of people or fear of God? In Judges 6, we see how the fear of others can keep us from living in faithful obedience, but God's presence gives us the courage to trust Him instead. This message explores how hearing God's truth, holding onto His presence, and honoring Him above everyone else weakens the grip of fear and leads to a life of bold faith.

What holds us back from doing what God asks? In Judges 4, God calls Deborah and Barak to free Israel from oppression, but Barak hesitates. This message explores the cost of passivity and how faithful action begins with trusting God.

In Judges 2:6–23, we see a generation rise up that did not know the Lord. This message looks at the signs of a compromised faith: forgetting God's greatness, forgetting His ways, and facing His discipline. Join us as we consider what it means to keep ourselves from idols and remain faithful to God.

At Woodside Bible Church, we pursue God's truth, respond to His goodness, and reflect His beauty together. Tune in live for this week's message as we explore Scripture and discover what it means to live out our identity in Christ. 🙌

Kids learn what’s important by watching adults and listening to their words. In Deuteronomy 6, Moses tells parents to teach their children about God’s goodness. When we walk with the Lord and share His faithfulness with others, we help shape the next generation.

In John 8:12, Jesus makes a bold claim: "I am the light of the world." This message explores why Jesus is the source of everything we need and points to a life worth living. Tune in as we look at what Jesus meant and why it still matters.

Everyone is loyal to something. Do your loyalties lie with God? Moses calls God's people to follow the Lord always and pass that loyalty on to the next generation. This message explores how devotion to God protects your faith and sets an example for those who come after you.
