Bryce Coutts of  @TheHawksEyeBryceCoutts  joins me to talk about the Seahawks recent success, the success of Sam Darnold, and the weaknesses the team may be able to fill at the trade deadline.

I talked about losing a comedy competition and having my own house to myself.

Before Reece Green was the co-creator of the most viral Halloween Costume of 2023, he was a new Seattle comedian who I thought was very funny. He was also a professional baseball player, and grew up a baseball nut. We talked about the origins of his costume, going viral while still trying to enjoy the present, and Reece's career as a professional baseball player in countries you didn't know had professional baseball.

I talked about some of the new details that have been released by Trevor Bauer which make his previous allegations seem like extortion, and also about the comments I made on my other podcast about that. Hey all, not an actual podcast but there is a benefit for one of our listeners, affectionate called Backwards Trevor, our friend Bob Springer has developed Stage 4 cancer and we are doing a benefit to help pay for the medical bills. The show is September 29 at Mt. Olympus Brewing in Aberdeen.

Please consider donating to the GoFundMe for Rachel Aflleje, whose mom died unexpectedly, and who will be now raising her niece after the tragic death of her sister in 2016. https://www.gofundme.com/f/for-nancy-and-tori?utm_campaign=p_lico+share-sheet&utm_location=FIRSTTIME&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer Venmo: Rachel-Laurendeau This episode I talk about the Supreme Court ruling and how none of the legitimate concerns with Affirmative Action acknowledge or attempt to solve the problems Affirmative Action was meant to solve.

I rambled about Dr. Peter Hotez, who I probably largely agree with but who looks like a coward in the public eye.

I talked about my Uncle Bob passing last week. He was a good man and I loved him a lot. Also I tore my meniscus today, and I told the story.

A day after fighting off food poisoning, I told a story from almost 15 years ago about the time I got E. coli on a camping trip, and the medium-term aftermath.

I was joined by Matt Mikolas, a former Seattle sports broadcaster and long-time friend of the pod. We were driving to Pasco, Washington where we golfed and where I had a show, and talked about college radio and what it was like to be a black sports broadcaster through the time when Colin Kaepernick was kneeling during the anthem and people were protesting the murder of George Floyd.

I talked about my trip to Montana, some complaints I have about gatekeepers in comedy, the perils of becoming unemployed with a pregnant wife, all while doing dishes!

I livestreamed a podcast with Todd Royce. Check out future livestreams on my YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@CaseyMcLain

I was joined by my buddy Gabriel Rutledge for my first ever livestreamed episode! Check out frequent livestreams on my Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@CaseyMcLain

The podcast returns as I have been struggling with a lost voice. I also had some stuff happen in my regular life that I talk about here. I am live streaming on Monday! https://youtube.com/live/8e3jMbWrL4Y?feature=share

This week I was joined by my buddy Birungi, a comedian from Seattle who was born in Uganda. Birungi started comedy right about the same time as I did, and has become an absolute killer on stage. #comedypodcast #comedy #comedians
