I'm not in a good place.  It took me a while to get this episode done. I recorded the episode in May on a day I had been really, really, low.  I don't even remember what it was about. So I apologize in advance for my editing! In this volume, I am talking with Jo.  Jo is the wife behind a blog and podcast titled I. Am. The. Wife.  She started it to deal with the immense pain she felt after her husband betrayed her while she kept up their home in children in England and he was away with the military. Her husband was brave enough, disciplined enough, to finally end the affiar and attend counseling. But she shares candidly how hard healing has been. How invasive the thoughts are.  This is only a part of the interview. I plan to share in a fuure episode!

I do not enjoy Mother's Day anymore.   There's the fact that I've had six children with a man who from the day he left, has never ackwleged me.   It's the fact that I have a daughter who doesn't speak to me and a mother in law who also abandoned me and has chosen to welcome a mistress as her daughter-in-law.   What if this were her mother that her father abandoned? I decided to share more of the story of becoming pregnant with my first daughter and how I was treated as well as more on the deterioriation of the realtionship with my mother-in-law. It is a deterioriation my daughter and her son spearheaded and left me holding the bag. As you listen to my motherhood story keep in mind that as we fight to maintain a woman's Pro Choice rights, they don't expire.  Nyles actually wrote in a court document that the entire problem was "she was supposed to have an abortion". My friend Byron who is the creator of the FB Group Nerdy, Sexy, Cool, introduced me to the story of Dr. Griffin.  Dr. Griffin has a story about having confidence himself and starting his own Plastic Surgery Practice.  There's a lot to learn from that, but I really wanted you guys to hear a frank talk about plastic surgery! The converwsationwith my cousin Shun continues.  On top of becoming a widow and losing three of her step children in a tragic accident, she was almost immedieately thrown into a battle with his first wife.  It's hard to explain, you just have to listen.   I also talk a little bit about how I experienced similar behavior when my own daughter started writing articles about me saying i was an abuser! We talk about how people say "Why do you care what people think" and "just let it go" and how hurtful...Lordy...just listen.....

My cousin's widow, Shun, is my guest on this episode.  We've talked about our expectations of God in many forms for over a year.  Shun shares her experience of tasting a sweet life... being married to my cousin for only 14 days... and then losing him when he passed away along with three of his children.  Her heart was broken becaue of the death of her husband and step children.  However, there's that part of our broken heart that seems taboo to talk about. The part of our heart that is broken because we thought God would keep this type of heartache from us.  

It's episode one of the new season! Today I am talking to author Dominique Dewel.  She wrote a journal with the most petty title I've ever heard... "I miss you, but F#*@ you!".  The title resonated and set off a million bells within me. I am so proud of her creating this journal to help us put those complex feelings down on paper. I miss you, but.... you know the rest!

This is the season ending episode for season 2.  It is one of those ones where I readily admit, It ain't the best episode. I held onto it for a couple of weeks. I'm so greived. I ramble.
