They're back and ready for some football! The Super Wild Card weekend is coming up fast, and after last year's "Back on the Zane Gang" episode, Greg and Robbie couldn't pass up the opportunity for another playoff preview. First, they say their goodbyes to the teams we won't be seeing again until September, and then they dive deep into this pool of 14 playoff teams. They even offer up a new rule proposal for Commissioner Goodell, based one disgruntled individual's feelings about a certain playoff team. With so much football to discuss, and so many possibilities up in the air, it's time to press play and get ready for a SUPER Wild Card weekend.

Ep. 27: Brother's Little Helper

Going for what they called the best and worst idea ever, Greg and Robbie decided to record an unscripted podcast on their way back from Los Angeles, CA. After a crazy weekend, which began with Greg driving north to cover college soccer in San Luis Obispo and ended with the Silvers seeing The Rolling Stones perform at SoFi stadium, the brother's have a lot to talk about in the car. They've discovered from past road trips that the longer they're in the car together, the more ridiculous their conversations get, and this is their chance to let their listeners from Canada and elsewhere in on the fun. Ep. 26: Phoebe Schecter's Epic Journey Around Football

2021/09/24

In this episode, Greg and Robbie put aside a lot of their usual banter (sort of) to speak with their amazing guest, Phoebe Schecter. From moving to the UK to work with horses to playing in a girls American football league, moving back to the US, and serving as a coaching intern for the Buffalo Bills, Schecter has seen it all and has a one-of-a-kind story. More recently, she took part in the first ever girls high school flag football league, which was sponsored by the New York Jets and Nike. Currently, she is back in Germany coaching for the Potsdam Royals, who are in the midst of their first playoff appearance. So what's next in the epic journey of Phoebe Schecter? It's a question that only she can answer in due time.

Ep. 25: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (NFL Part 2)

In the second part of this NFL preview special Greg, Robbie, and Michael continue their football discussion starting with their picks for this year's MVP. They also acknowledge some of the league's brightest stars (well...sort of), the latest Ben Simmons update, and the return of live sports at UCSB. As expected, the interruptions, jokes, and ridiculous references are sprinkled all throughout, just as they were in part one, only this episode may have even more absurdity.

During his trip back home for Labor Day weekend, Greg drags not just one but TWO Silvers into the recording space for a two-part NFL preview special. As expected (and desired), Robbie is ready to roll and kicks things off with a big announcement. However, the real headliner is their father, Michael, who makes his long-awaited Poddy Train Me debut. In part one of two, the Silver boys talk everything from the league's overrated and underrated teams to which coach may be first out the door this season. How many games will the Houston Texans win? As a part of his weekly show for KCSB-FM 91.9 in Santa Barbara, CA, Greg had the privilege of speaking with Mia Mastrov, an incoming freshman (received another year of NCAA eligibility due to COVID) for the California Golden Bears women's basketball program. Having grown up in a very Cal-heavy household, this is Greg's golden opportunity to impress family members from three different generations. This is something Mia Mastrov knows all too well, as her grandfather, Bert, played for the Golden Bears back in the 1950s. As numerous topics are discussed over the course of the show, Mastrov demonstrates her intelligence, confidence, and magnetic personality, showing the world why she might have what it takes to be a future star.
