The Unexpected Upside of Strong Language
2026/01/22
This article explores how using profanity can improve physical performance by creating a state of psychological disinhibition. Research led by Dr. Richard Stephens suggests that swearing helps individuals bypass social constraints and subconscious hesitations, allowing them to access greater strength and endurance. Experimental data, such as holding push-up positions for longer durations, indicates that strong language fosters increased self-confidence and focus while reducing distractions. By entering a state of "flow," participants are able to push their bodies further than those using neutral speech. Ultimately, the source frames swearing as a cost-free, accessible tool for boosting effectiveness in high-pressure or physically demanding situations. Scientists are now expanding this research to see if these benefits extend to social challenges like public speaking or romantic interactions.Follow www.divsfeed.com for more uplifting stories.
Rest as Survival: The New Revolution in Wellbeing
2026/01/21
In a modern era defined by constant digital connectivity, rest is being redefined as a vital necessity for survival rather than a sign of laziness. This perspective suggests that purposeful downtime protects mental and physical health while helping individuals detach their personal value from their level of productivity. Recovery is not a uniform process, as it encompasses physical, mental, and emotional restoration through various intentional practices like silence or movement. Beyond simple recuperation, stepping away from tasks acts as a catalyst for creativity and professional growth by allowing the mind space to generate new ideas. This shift is also becoming a societal movement, with workplaces and urban environments increasingly incorporating quiet zones and mindfulness into their structures. Ultimately, embracing limits is presented as a radical act of self-respect that fosters long-term resilience and a more sustainable way of living.Visit www.divsfeed.com for more uplifting stories.

The 80-Year-Old Trailblazer: Conquering the Appalachian Trail
2026/01/19
At 80 years old, retired teacher Betty Kellenberger made history by becoming the oldest woman to finish the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail. Her journey began as a childhood dream, but she faced significant modern obstacles including Lyme disease, a concussion, and a total knee replacement during her various attempts. Despite these physical setbacks and the loss of her hiking partner, she remained resilient, motivated by "trail angels" and a refusal to let age define her capabilities. Completing the trek in September 2025, she spent roughly a year and a half navigating the rugged terrain across 14 states. Now a record-holder, Kellenberger advocates for setting ambitious goals and overcoming the fears that often hinder personal progress in later life. Her story serves as a testament to perseverance and the enduring power of lifelong ambitions.

My Entrepreneurial Journey - an Interview
2023/07/16
Entrepreneurship, and or starting a business, definitely has its challenges, but the fear of perfection should not be the reason you don't start. As I’ve seen too many times, entrepreneur-minded individuals are often hesitant or reluctant to kickstart their idea into motion because they can’t launch it at the visionary ideal they built up in their head. They keep seeing the end product and say, “I don’t have the investment to create that…” – where instead, they should be looking at the beginning and say, “I know what I want to build, let me consider my resources, and how can I start with what I have?”The biggest miss we make is not thinking about or knowing what resources we actually have access to when wanting to start something - resources like people, technologies, services, or existing infrastructure...
On this episode, I sit on the other side of the table and discuss my entrepreneurship journey with Podcast host Aaron Katsman. During this conversation we cover the following:
What is entrepreneurship?
The mission of Executive Media Solutions - my marketing firm
The Executive Talk podcast
Why I started the Executive Brand Tees clothing brand
How to grow a business without revenue
The entrepreneurship journey is challenging - but you can do this!
How do you know if you are you an entrepreneur?
