We toast to the end of summer with one of our favorite backyard party albums, 1996s Odelay by Beck. The blend of styles and samples fit perfectly with frozen cocktails so we dusted off the blender and made ourselves some blended versions of of classic summer cocktails, including favorites like the Jungle Bird, and the Espresso Martini. We took refuge from a summer thunder shower and listened to Prince's most successful, eclectic album, 1984's Purple Rain. Skye works his magic with some equally energetic summer concoctions, featuring effervescent and colorful riffs on the Negroni, the Cosmo, and more. Appropriately recorded on Cinqo de Mayo, we dive into our favorite Desert Rock album, 2007's Era Vulgaris by Queens of the Stone Age. Skye works his magic with Tequila to deliver some unique riffs on the Paloma and the Old Fashioned, and manages to curate a tasty menu without resorting to a Margarita. This is a heavy record with some even heavier drinks. Enjoy the spirits, enjoy the sounds, and have fun out there.

Be prepared for an onslaught of unsolicited Michael McDonald impression as the Club takes on the Doobie Bros' classic, 'Minute by Minute' from 1978. With the record that years later would later become known as the cornerstone album of Yacht Rock, we riff on these smooth sounds and complex arrangements with some equally smooth, yet complex Daiquiris. After a long hiatus, we're relaunching with a brand new "Record Club" concept.  Instead of a genre playlist and a base-spirit, we're doing a classic album from front-to-back, without stops or repeats, and pairing the experience with a set of spirits and flavors to match. We're launching the concept with one of the most immersive vinyl experiences of all-time, The Beatles' Abbey Road. After re-locating the studio from New York to Washington, DC, Alex is joined by cocktail aficionado Skye Frontier, and former guest-of -the-pod turned co-host Ian Burke.
