Taylor Getwood had a chance to stand up for parents and students who are being silenced — and chose to stay quiet just to keep the peace with the wrong people.

Taylor Getwood had a chance to stand up for parents and students who are being silenced — and chose to stay quiet just to keep the peace with the wrong people.
Being a “team player” means nothing if the team is working against the very community you were elected to serve. Parents showing up to speak their truth and students whose voices are being pushed to the side deserve better than someone who won’t rock the boat on their behalf.
Silence in the face of censorship is not neutrality — it’s a choice. And Taylor Getwood made theirs
.Port Arthur deserves representatives who fight FOR the people, not around them.

Crawford Breaks Down the Law, Leaving City Attorney Scrambling at Council Meeting
2026/04/19
Businessman Harry Crawford gave the Port Arthur City Council and the City Attorney a lesson in the law. He walked them through the legal terms of his lease and laid out point after point until the City Attorney appeared completely flustered. Roxann Pais Controneo became so rattled that she began interrupting people while they were speaking, showing open disrespect in the room before eventually asking for a break.
Crawford also broke down the legal issues surrounding the illegal dumping of spoils on the land the City of Port Arthur leased to him. He went as far as calling out DD7 for failing to obtain the proper resolutions.
All of this raises serious questions about why the City Council continues to keep this City Attorney in place. Roxann Controneo often comes across with a condescending tone when speaking to Black council members and citizens.
Opponents of the $3.5 billion wind turbine and data center project have thrown everything they can at it to try to stop it. Some critics seemed almost eager for the project to fall under federal regulation, hoping that Donald Trump would step in and kill it.
Meanwhile, this DEI-styled City Attorney risks putting the City of Port Arthur in a serious legal situation if this pattern continues. She appears to be operating no differently than the same insiders who have long mishandled the city’s affairs.
There is also speculation that she may ultimately use this position as a stepping stone—possibly turning it into a lobbying role that sends her traveling to Washington, D.C. on the taxpayers’ dime. Imagine someone with no real roots in Port Arthur positioning themselves to represent the city’s interests there. Some believe these political attacks are part of building a résumé that certain council members and the city manager may later support as she pivots toward lobbying.
At the same time, it increasingly looks like some opposition to this project has less to do with policy and more to do with the fact that the businessman behind it is Black. The reaction at times feels like some people believe that if Crawford succeeds, it somehow threatens them personally.
This anti-Black business attitude from parts of the council is just another day in the ongoing political circus in Port Arthur.
New Ordinance, Same Old Story: Lakeview Palms Resident Leaves City Council With No Answers
2026/03/13
Here we go again with issues in Lakeview Palms. The city attorney put on quite a show, claiming they revamped the language of city codes because they’re supposedly too complex for employees to grasp. Yet, when it comes time to actually enforce this new ordinance? It's the same old story.
A resident bravely stepped up to voice her concerns about living in unsafe and hazardous conditions. Instead of receiving concrete guidance or actions from the city council, she was met with a motivational speech that led nowhere. They simply said they'd “call someone,” with no clear plan of action regarding the so-called “new” ordinance.
One highlight was Council Member Kinlaw, who pointed out that Mayor Moses has the power to influence the PA Housing Authority since she appoints its board members, putting her on the spot.
When the citizen left the meeting, she had no clarity on whether any resolutions would be made or if citations would be issued under the new ordinance supposedly initiated by Roxann Pais Controneo.
Mayor Moses asked her if she had contacted the property owner. However, City Attorney Controneo didn’t clarify that residents need to talk to the owner before the City of Port Arthur can enforce fines. It’s the same challenges for citizens, with no real solutions in sight.

Mayor Charlotte Moses Lies to Protect SLUMLORDS
2026/01/31
🔥 Mayor Charlotte Moses Lies to Protect SLUMLORDS 🔥Let’s stop pretending the city has no tools to deal with slumlords when the ordinances say otherwise. In a recent news article, Mayor Moses suggested the city didn’t have authority to step in on these apartment conditions. But the city code literally spells out enforcement powers:📌 104.2 Right of EntryThe city can inspect properties when violations are suspected.📌 104.4 Corrective ActionThe city can order repairs and bring negligent owners before the Building & Standards Commission.📌 106.5 Abatement of ViolationsThe city can use civil, administrative, and even criminal enforcement to force compliance. These aren’t suggestions. These are enforcement tools written into the code. And remember — she was on council when a prior city attorney stated the city could enforce housing and safety codes. So residents have a fair question to ask:👉 If the authority exists, why aren’t slumlords being pushed to fix these conditions? This is about families living without heat. This is about unsafe housing. This is about tenant dignity.🎙️ I break it all down on my podcast — what the ordinances say, how enforcement works, and what residents should know.If you’re tired of slumlords getting away with neglect while tenants suffer, this episode is for you.📢 Listen. Read the ordinances. Demand action.Because safe housing shouldn’t be optional.https://youtu.be/Zh9Sb36al50#Breaking #Viral #FacebookReels #Receipts #Accountability #TruthMatters #PortArthurTX #SETX #PublicRecords #WatchTillTheEnd #ShareThis
🚨 NEW PODCAST EPISODE: The Monitors’ Report That Named Children of Diversity (Candice Matthews)🚨
2026/01/26
🚨 NEW PODCAST EPISODE: The Monitors’ Report That Named Children of Diversity (Candice Matthews)🚨I’m dropping this episode because I’m tired of people acting like these foster care concerns are “opinions” or “he say / she say.”This is NOT that. The Independent Court Monitors’ Report connected to the federal Texas foster care lawsuit M.D. by Stukenberg v. Abbott (United States District Court, Southern District of Texas) contains language that should alarm every parent and every taxpayer in this state. And yes — Children of Diversity Child Placing Agency (CPA) is named in the report.According to the report:✅ Residential Child Care Regulation (RCCR) issued a citation after a contractor reviewing foster children’s level of care found documentation in the agency’s files related to child-on-child sexual contact.✅ The contractor asked whether the allegations were reported to Statewide Intake (SWI) — and according to the report, the operation said the allegations had NOT been reported.✅ The contractor learned no safety plan had been implemented.✅ The contractor had to report the incidents to SWI themselves.✅ Therapy notes indicated an outcry occurred about a month before any report was made.✅ The operation was cited for six minimum standards violations, including violations tied to reporting requirements involving child-on-child sexual abuse allegations. Then there’s the part that makes “Heightened Monitoring” look like a joke. The report tracks Heightened Monitoring (increased oversight used by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services — DFPS — when an operation has repeated safety and compliance concerns). And in the report’s table, Children of Diversity shows:• 11 Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (ANE) investigations opened in the five months BEFORE Heightened Monitoring• 11 ANE investigations opened in the five months AFTER Heightened MonitoringSame number. So if the state turns up the oversight and NOTHING changes… what exactly is being fixed? This episode is not “hate.” It’s not a smear. It’s not speculation. It’s a breakdown of what oversight reporting describes — and why these failures are horrific when children in state custody are the ones paying the price.🎙️ FULL EPISODE IS LIVE NOW.I’m going line-by-line, explaining what it means, what should’ve happened, and why “paperwork” will never be an excuse for a child being left exposed. If you care about child safety, you need to hear this one. Share this so people stop pretending this isn’t real.#Texas #FosterCare #DFPS #RCCR #ChildSafety #Accountability #StatewideIntake #PMC #TexasNews #protectkids #candicematthews #FAFO
Charlotte Moses is making excuses for canceling the December 30th meeting, and it’s embarrassing.
2026/01/25
Charlotte Moses is making excuses for canceling the December 30th meeting, and it’s embarrassing.
This isn’t a “staff mistake.” This is leadership failure.
Mayor Moses is old enough and has been in office long enough to stop playing clueless. If you’ve been sitting in that seat for years, you don’t get to hide behind the City Attorney and the City Secretary and pretend you “didn’t know” what the ordinance meant. Read it. It’s not written in code. It’s clear.
What makes this even worse is her logic: “Let’s see how they did it a few years ago and just copy that.”That’s not governing. That’s laziness with a title.
A real leader doesn’t outsource accountability. A real leader doesn’t shrug and blame staff when it’s THEIR responsibility to make the call. And a real leader doesn’t cancel a public meeting, then act like they had no choice.
If the ordinance says the meeting must be rescheduled, then reschedule it. Period.Stop stalling. Stop dodging. Stop disrespecting the public with excuses.
Because at this point, it’s not incompetence, it’s a pattern.
And the people of Port Arthur are supposed to accept this “low-effort leadership” like it’s normal.
No.
This is exactly how corruption survives: blame staff, play confused, delay accountability, and keep the public in the dark.
Charlotte Moses didn’t just cancel a meeting. She cancelled responsibility.

PUBLIC ALERT: CANDICE MATTHEWS' POSSIBLE CHILD TRAFFICKING SCHEME EXPOSED
2026/01/14
🔥 PUBLIC ALERT: POSSIBLE CHILD TRAFFICKING SCHEME EXPOSED 🔥People need to understand what was REALLY happening inside CANDICE MATTHEWS'S foster care agency. This isn’t “a few mistakes.” This is a multi-year pattern of sexual abuse, physical abuse, forced labor, and placing kids with dangerous adults while the agency collected state money for every child.Based on their own documented violations, there is strong evidence this fits Texas Penal Code §20A.02 (Child Trafficking) and the federal Trafficking Victims Protection Act.Here’s why ⬇️✔ Children were sexually abused by foster fathers.✔ Children were forced to sleep in adult beds.✔ Kids were hit with belts, brooms, choked, stomped, and humiliated.✔ Children were forced to perform adult caregiving tasks (changing diapers, G-tube feeding, etc.).✔ Unapproved adults with criminal histories were allowed around the children.✔ The agency hid information from investigators and blocked inspections.✔ They ignored background checks, ignored safety plans, and ignored heightened monitoring orders.✔ And through all of this—THEY WERE GETTING PAID.Under both Texas and federal law, child trafficking does NOT require crossing borders. If you house, harbor, place, or expose a child to exploitation while you financially benefit, that IS trafficking. Period. This agency repeatedly:• put kids in dangerous homes,• ignored sexual abuse,• ignored violent abuse,• allowed prohibited adults to supervise children,• failed to report incidents,• and kept cashing checks while kids were being hurt. That is “institutional child trafficking through systematic neglect, exploitation, and failure to protect.”This is not an “accident.”This is not a “mistake.”This is a pattern, documented for YEARS.Every parent, every taxpayer, every law enforcement official, every elected leader should be outraged. These children deserved protection—not to be placed into a pipeline of abuse for financial gain.If this happened to ANY other business, we’d call it what it is:TRAFFICKING.EXPLOITATION.CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE.And it’s time for accountability.https://youtu.be/ls2H6643FBE
The Epic Roast of Port Arthur Mayor Charlotte Moses and City Attorney Roxann Pais Controneo
2026/01/10
🚨🎙️ NEW PODCAST DROP — PARENTAL ADVISORY 🚨⚠️ EXPLICIT LANGUAGE | NOT FOR KIDS ⚠️The latest episode is LIVE — and this one is RAW, UNFILTERED, and DISRESPECTFUL ON PURPOSE.I went straight at Mayor Charlotte Moses and City Attorney Roxann Pais Cotroneo, and no, I didn’t come to be nice.🔥 What I break down and ROAST (MY OPINION & PUBLIC COMMENTARY):• When Charlotte Moses was on city council, she voted on an item where her real estate company — and she personally — directly benefited• Why voting on something you profit from is the exact type of behavior people point to when they talk about RICO-style corruption patterns — position, influence, benefit• How conflicts of interest don’t disappear just because you later get a bigger title• The non-profit money mess around her and why taxpayers keep getting treated like an ATM• Her poor performance as a city employee, proving failure clearly wasn’t a deal-breakerThen I turn the flamethrower on the City Attorney:• How Cotroneo refused to answer a council member’s direct question in public session — the bare minimum of her job• How dodging questions on the record isn’t “legal caution,” it’s protective lawyering for bad actors• And yes… the catfish energy gets addressed — because the online image and the real-life performance DO NOT match 🐟📸🗣️ This episode contains strong language, blunt opinions, sarcasm, and zero respect for incompetence. If that offends you — don’t press play.🎧 LISTEN. SHARE. DISCUSS.Because silence is what lets this nonsense continue.👇👇👇Hit play — then tell me I’m wrong with facts, not feelings.#ParentalAdvisory #ExplicitPodcast #PortArthur #ConflictOfInterest #SelfDealing #LocalPolitics #PodcastRoast #NoRespect #accountability
Instead of focusing on hiring PA citizens Terry Stokes want to focus on child care.

Instead of focusing on hiring PA citizens Terry Stokes want to focus on child care.
Port Arthur EDC Director is at the verge of missing a huge turnaround that's people are calling the second coming of Spindletop in this area. EDC Director and Bartie are purposely not trying to get citizens hired by making the lame excuse of childcare. The expansion starts within two months and it no time to wait to lobby for some money to figure out a childcare plan.
Between the City of PA NOT trying to give bids to Port Arthur companies AND not trying to get citizens hire are treasonous acts that shouldn't be tolerated by the citizens.

Former CEO Batiste calls out the EDC board for illegal operating practices and call out the board and council for everybody knowing and not saying anything.
First, it was council member Beckcom was talking about council knew about Hamilton not living in PA and now Batiste states everyone knows about the illegal practices.
I give specific actions you can do to fix the corruption. I give you different agencies you can call and make a report. I give you different strategies on combatting corruption.

The Last Supper 2: Council has a discussion about eating on the taxpayer's dime.
This is probably the most disrespectful council meeting I have ever seen. Bartie is disrespectful. Kinlaw, and Frank act entitled like they are owed a free meal. Hamilton is just in outer space.
If you don't watch any other meeting, you need to watch this one!!!! This is prime example of a circus!!!!!

Real Estate Conflict of Interest in Port Arthur

Real Estate Conflict of Interest in Port Arthur
It’s alleged that Charlotte Moses been using the council for personal gain with her real estate company that she works for.
She votes to change a contract so Legacy CDC can purchase property from her via Freeman Properties. This is a clear violation.
Moses understands this is a violation because after she votes on the contract. She tries to abstain herself on another vote that comes up with her company being on a list to be used by the COPA in future real estate deals.
Other candidates like Ms Beckcom have her real estate license without using entering local politics. She is also endorsed by an area real estate organization and It gives suspicion about her motives.
