Indifference
2026/10/25
Indifference is everywhere: in our streets, our politics, and too often, in the church. In this message from our series "PTSD of the Christian Life," we look at Jesus' parting command to His disciples: "Love one another, as I have loved you."
Scripture: John 13:33–35; 1 Corinthians 13:4–7
Complaining
2026/10/18
Is complaining really that big of a deal? We all do it, but in Numbers 11, God takes it far more seriously than we might expect.
In this message, we look at Israel's journey from praising God after the Red Sea to grumbling in the wilderness, and what that shift reveals about our own hearts.
We'll see that: • Complaining is a choice, shaped by patterns of thinking formed over time. • Complaining is sin. Paul places it alongside idolatry and immorality in 1 Corinthians 10. • Complaining stifles God's grace in our adversity and strips away our joy.
The challenge: clear out the old habits of murmuring and make room for the joy of the Lord.
Scripture: Numbers 11:1; Numbers 13–14; 1 Corinthians 10:1–10

Bitterness
2026/10/12
In this episode of PTSD of the Christian Life, Pastor Brent Snook tackles one of the most destructive emotional forces a person can carry — bitterness. Drawing from Hebrews 12:14–15, he walks through four compelling movements that expose this hidden danger and point the way to freedom.
The Benefits of Salvation
2026/10/05
In this special Friend Day episode, Pastor Brent Snook opens Romans 5:1–11 to unpack six extraordinary benefits that become ours the moment we trust Jesus Christ as Savior — not just for eternity, but for life right now.
He begins with Peace — not a feeling, but a status change, as God moves us from enemy to friend. Next comes Passage— the remarkable free access to God's presence that Christ purchased by tearing the veil. Progress follows, as Pastor Brent shows how tribulation, rightly understood, is not an obstacle but the very process God uses to build patience, character, and hope.
He then turns to Passion — the overwhelming, unconditional, and incomparable love of God poured out for helpless sinners. Pardon comes next — justification through Christ's blood, meaning just as if we'd never sinned. And finally, Praise — because when we truly grasp what salvation has given us, we can't help but worship.
Six benefits. One Savior.
Jealousy
2026/09/27
In this powerful episode of PTSD of the Christian Life, Pastor Brent Snook tackles one of the most subtle yet destructive sins in the Christian life — jealousy. Drawing from Proverbs 14:30, he reveals how envy works its way inward, rotting the bones and poisoning every relationship it touches.
Pastor Brent identifies four traps that make us vulnerable: the trap of Prosperity — coveting what others have; the trap of Power — resenting those in authority; the trap of Performance — brooding over another's success; and the trap of People — where jealousy slithers right through the front door of our own homes.
He then exposes the truth about jealousy — that it ultimately destroys not just its victims, but the one who carries it. From Cain to King Saul to Daniel's accusers, the pattern is unmistakable.
But there is hope. Pastor Brent closes with four practical steps to triumph over jealousy: Pronounce it as sin, Pray for those you envy, Praise God for your own blessings, and Pursue love — because as Scripture reminds us, love does not envy.
Worry
2026/09/20
What if the thing you worry about most reveals what you're actually devoted to? In this week's PTSD of the Christian Life, Pastor Brent Snook tackles one of America's top seven anxieties — and Jesus has a surprisingly practical answer. Three steps. Three words. One passage that could change everything. Tune in.
Dealing with Discouragement
2026/08/30
Halfway there — and completely falling apart. Sound familiar? We all deal with discouragement. In this week's episode of PTSD of the Christian Life, Pastor Brent Snook digs into one of the most universal battles believers face. If you've ever wanted to quit — this one's for you.
Loneliness
2026/08/23
Have you ever felt completely alone — even in a room full of people? In this week's episode of PTSD of the Christian Life, Pastor Brent Snook tackles one of the most universal human experiences — one that doesn't discriminate between the married or single, the young or old, the successful or struggling. You might be surprised to discover who else has sat where you're sitting right now. And you might be even more surprised to find out there's a way out. Tune in — this one might just be for you.
Hope for the Hopeless
2026/08/17
In this week's episode of PTSD of the Christian Life, Pastor Brent Snook tackles one of the most powerful forces in the human heart: HOPE — and what happens when it's gone. Drawing from a dramatic story of the apostle Paul's survival on the high seas, Pastor explores three critical moments in life when everything depends on one thing. Is it possible to have it even in your darkest hour? Even when the storm won't stop? Even when death itself is at the door? Tune in to find out why Pastor Brent calls it the single greatest difference between those who try and those who give up — and where you can find it today.
PTSD of the Christian Life: FEAR
2026/08/10
In "Fear" (Deuteronomy 1:19–33), Pastor Brent Snook launches the new PTSD of the Christian Life series — Practical Traumatic Spiritual Development. Drawing from Israel's failure at the edge of the Promised Land, he identifies four results of fear: it refuses God's plan, ruins our perspective, restrains God's people, and rejects God's promises. He then offers four practical ways to resist fear — face it, forsake it as sin, find God's promises, and formulate a closer walk with God. The surprising conclusion? The opposite of fear is not courage — it is love.
A Miracle for Your Sight
2026/07/13
In "A Miracle for Your Sight" (John 9:1–41), Pastor Brent Snook brings us the sixth miracle in John's Gospel — Jesus healing a man born blind. He examines the man's misery — a picture of every person living in spiritual darkness — the mystery of the Messiah, as religious leaders attack the man's faith, family, and friend while his own faith grows from "a good man" to "Lord, I believe" — and the message of the miracle: Jesus is a Light that shines, seeks, saves, and is shunned. Closing with the healed man's unforgettable testimony, Pastor Brent reminds us that the same Gospel that brings some to the light drives others deeper into darkness. The question for every listener is simple: what will you do with the light?
A Miracle for Eternity
2026/06/22
In "A Miracle for Eternity" (John 6:1–15), Pastor Brent Snook brings us the feeding of the 5,000 — the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels. He explores a problem not too big to solve, as Jesus turns the disciples' doubt into divine provision; a person not too small to use, as a boy's small lunch becomes a lesson that little is much when God is in it; and a picture not too hard to see, as Jesus reveals Himself as spiritual, supernatural, and satisfying Bread.
A Miracle for Life's Disabilities
2026/06/15
In "A Miracle for Life's Disabilities" (John 5:1–9), Pastor Brent Snook brings us the third miracle in John's Gospel — Jesus healing a man paralyzed for 38 years at the Pool of Bethesda. Pastor walks us through the man's condition — helpless and hopeless after nearly four decades — Jesus' challenge with the penetrating question "Wilt thou be made whole?" — the command to rise, take up his bed, and walk — and the remarkable cure that transformed not just his body, but his behavior and boldness.
A Miracle from a Distance
2026/06/08
In "A Miracle from a Distance" (John 4:45–54), Pastor Brent Snook continues the Supernatural Stories for the Summer series with Jesus' second miracle — healing a nobleman's dying son from 20 miles away. He examines the nobleman's condition — wealth and power that couldn't solve a broken father's heartache — his conversation with Jesus, marked by secondhand, demanding, and strong-willed faith — and the ultimate confirmation that transforms a satisfied faith into a saving one. The real miracle wasn't the boy's physical healing — it was a father's spiritual conversion, and a whole household that believed. Distance is no obstacle for Jesus.
The Marriage Miracle
2026/05/25
In "The Marriage Miracle" (John 2:1–11), Pastor Brent Snook launches the new Supernatural Stories for the Summer series with Jesus' very first miracle — turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana. He explores the Scene of the miracle — a humble, happy, and holy place — the Secret of the miracle through Mary's timeless advice: "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it" — and the Significance of the miracle, contrasting the devil's strategy of giving his best first with Jesus, who always saves the best for last.
