For years I've said RINOs are only marginally better than Democrats and there are times when it's better to take a step back by letting a RINO lose in the general so you can take several steps forward with a conservative the following election. Texas Republicans have a problem, and it is not the one they think they have. The problem is not Ken Paxton, and it is not the political environment. The problem is that too many conservatives still believe a Democrat winning statewide in Texas is impossible, while a New York Times/Siena poll released this week shows James Talarico tied with Paxton at 47 percent among likely voters. The last time a Democrat won a statewide race in Texas, Bill Clinton was in his first term. That streak dies in November if patriots treat this race like every other Texas race and assume the math takes care of itself. It won't. Chief Justice John Roberts declared Tuesday that all foreigners have a claim to American citizenship, so long as they happen to be born here. We must speak out. What's happening in Europe is going to happen in America if we don't acquire the courage necessary to speak out against more than Marxism or Democrats. We have to speak out against rising Islamists.

Unlike standard Democrats (and many Republicans) who tell you one thing during the primaries, then another thing during the general, then another thing after they win, the Democratic Socialists of America stay consistent. It's consistently bad, but at least they stay the same.
