TC had the pleasure of sitting down with Raj Rajaratnam in the summer of 2025 at his family office in Midtown Manhattan to reflect on his rise, fall, and the lessons learned along the way. From building Galleon Group from the ground up into a $7B hedge fund to earning a place on Forbes’ richest list, Raj’s story is one of ambition, risk, and resilience. After serving 7.5 years in prison for insider trading — a conviction he has consistently maintained his innocence against — Raj reflects candidly on success, family, trust, and the wisdom he hopes to share with the next generation.

We chat with Vanizha Vasanthanathan, an international model, Odissi dancer and advocate for representation. Vanizha is the first Malaysian Indian who has been featured on the cover of Vogue magazine and the first Malaysian Tamil to feature in the Milan Fashion Week runway. In this candid conversation, Vanizha opens up about her journey navigating the challenges of the modeling industry, from battling the obsession with fair skin to overcoming the lack of representation for dark-skinned women. She shares her personal story of building confidence, the importance of seeing diversity in mainstream media, and why it’s crucial to create inclusive spaces for all. Vanizha also offers heartfelt advice to young dark-skinned Tamil girls, encouraging them to embrace their beauty and power in a world that’s finally starting to listen.

We chat with Sinthujan Varatharajah - an author, political geographer and essayist based in Berlin. Sinthujan’s written work challenges the traditional notions of belonging, migration and culture.
