If we don’t teach ourselves & others how to treat us, then they will attempt to give you whatever they see fit which usually isn’t fitting for you. On this special self care Sunday, I wanted to expand on the idea of using our Rest as an Act of Resistance in a culture that benefits from our stress, confusion and misalignment with ourselves. I touch on ways to incorporate ways to Destress and energetically release daily so that we can stay calm in spirit and at peace within ourselves. Rest not only helps with our stress, it also helps with our judgement, intuition, responses, relationships, health, etc. Nothing can flow from a stressed source without causing more chaos. Not only is this rage valid, it is also a call from the divine spirit within us as women to make a change to protect & honor ourselves as we should. That anger that arises that we are taught to silence to appear graceful” or “lady like” is not to be ignored. It is a sacred call to guide us into establishing a healthy relationship with ourselves, our boundaries & our self respect. It is a rage that demands you to be treated as you deserve & requires us to listen.
