Chris and Matt have some serious questions about their childhoods: Why did our parents love the Oldsmobile Cutlass?  Which one was Dawn? Why were there so many songs about love? How did they fit 48 songs on a single LP? Or two 8 track cassettes? Why did bands have 4 lead singers?  Why did so many musical artists have television variety shows? What is the power of Saratoga? What was he the captain of? Why did our parents love to wake us up on Saturday morning at 0700 to do clean the pool and do yard work? Most importantly, why did so much of their music suck?!? I think Chris and Matt were attempting to ruin St. Valentine's Day. As is par for the course, they're really late in doing so. It was a good try. Whether he meant to or not, Justin Timberlake nailed the sentiment of this episode. Chris and Matt secretly believe Timberlake is relatively proud of that. This episode? This is a bitter-sweet stroll down Chris' and Matt's very passionate infatuations with artists and their music and what ultimately ended those passionate infatuations. Matt's choices are respectful, sweet, and thoughtful. Chris' choices are just bitter. (1987 was apparently not a good year for Chris musically speaking.)
