So when the Wineingers sit down to dinner, we play this goofy, although very helpful, game called, Highs & Lows... so we thought we would do it "We Chose the Farm" style.  It would provide the perfect way for we to give you an update on what we've got going on!   What are your highs & lows right now?  You've gotta look at it one of 2 ways; - You need to see the rain to appreciate the sunshine. - You have to look for all the little things that when right today.  Find the positive. 

If chicken math is part of the basics of chickens, then what we chat about, with chicken colors, feathers, genetic differences... yeah, definitely algebra... CALCULUS even.  And we also talk about Chicken Economics, but that didnt fit in the title :)  

We're back for Season 2! So you have the animals on the farm that you want... this season, we plan to talk next steps & exploring the OTHER ways to benefit from these species.   Today we dabbled in some chicken genetics to breed for specific qualities AND egg colors...more egg color fun to come.  Here are the photos Lianna found that REALLY likes.  We will link with photo creds. -  Link here

Summer for farmers proves to be VERY difficult.  But we wanted to close out Season One (yes!  You heard right!) with a Current Events episode.   Lots to come with Season 2!  It will be surprise for us all.   PS Thank you for your continued support & downloads. They're baaaack.... There's Dog People... and then there's CAT PEOPLE! :)  It's a good overview about cats today with a few fun facts & CRAZY stories mixed in.   How is it that cats can be the MEANEST and people still let them hang around?!!? :) Because they're cats. 

When it comes to dogs, even though they are on our farm, they are a HUGE part of our family.  We chat about what's important to remember when choosing a dog for your family, PLUS some seriously funny facts about dogs smoking cigars & poodles at the opera!   

Can we even talk about the animals on our farms/homesteads without recognizing some of our greatest companions?!  This week, we introduce dogs and cats; how we got started, what we have now, the crazy stories our kits & pups have done...they are quite entertaining.   Send us photos of your dogs and cats!  They REALLY are a part of the family.
