As an inclusive artist, creating a safe space for all of our guests is important. As a Hopi-Tewa artist, Ray advocates towards better understanding how cultural appropriation is an issue in profiting of the history of indigenous people, and how certain symbols should be honored in tattoo space in order to respect the culture of Native Americans in the United States. We discuss about the racist history in the earlier days of tattooing and how new issues are evolving as we enter a new era of social media exposure. On this special day, our state wide mask mandate has been eliminated in California, and while COVID-19  restrictions has eased, every industry will approach the new normal under their own personal protection rules to ensure the safety of both employees and customers.
