MIDWEEK MUSE - you can loosen your grip
2026/09/22
What if letting go didn't require you to stop loving? A quiet Midweek Muse on the relationships that change, the people we can love from a distance, and the freedom of no longer needing to make someone wrong in order to trust what you know. You can honour what was. You can be grateful for who you were together. You can miss someone and still know the distance is right. You can love without gripping. Because sometimes closure isn't another conversation. Sometimes it's simply the moment you stop arguing with what has already changed. Connect with Tara: Facebook Instagram
Reason, Season or a Lifetime
2026/09/21
Some people arrive for a reason. Some stay for a season. And a rare few seem to find a way to meet us through many versions of a lifetime. But perhaps the wisdom was never in knowing which one is which. In this episode, Tara returns to an idea she first pinned to the back of her bedroom door as a teenager and explores what it has taken decades to actually understand. Through friendship, endings, wound buddies, changing chemistry, repair and the relationships we sometimes try desperately to make last, this is a conversation about loving people without gripping them, taking responsibility without carrying what isn't ours, and recognising when understanding someone has become a reason to abandon ourselves. Because not every rupture means leave. Not every ending needs a villain. Not every relationship that changes was a mistake. And not everyone who mattered was meant to stay. Sometimes relationships repair. Sometimes they change shape. Sometimes they complete. And sometimes the deepest work isn't convincing someone else to understand what happened — it's becoming willing to trust what you already know. An honest conversation about impermanence, discernment, self-responsibility, friendship, grief and the freedom of allowing something to have been real, beautiful and important without requiring it to last forever. Maybe it mattered. Maybe it changed you. And maybe you can let it go. Connect with MUSE HAUS & Tara Lee - @musehausco | @taralee_co Connect with Tara: Facebook Instagram
Midweek Muse - The women who bring the wood
2026/09/09
Some women don't just love your vulnerability. They can handle your power. In this Midweek Muse, Tara turns toward the women who bring wood. The ones who celebrate without competing. Who tell the truth with love. Who make room for our becoming. Who can sit beside us when we're falling apart and stand beside us when we're flying. A reminder to notice the women who make your life warmer simply by being in it. And perhaps to ask the harder question: How safe am I for the women I love? A love letter to female friendship, reciprocity, expansion, and the women who help us tend the fire. Because when you find the women who bring wood— love them. And be one. The Women we Become Around
2026/09/08
Some of the greatest loves of our lives are women. And sometimes, some of our greatest lessons are too. In this episode, Tara explores the complicated, beautiful and sometimes painful world of female friendship from girlhood and the motherline to adult friendships, business, Bali, envy, empowerment and the women we become beside one another. Because the women we keep close matter. They can shape what we believe is normal, what we question about ourselves, how freely we take up space, and whether our light is something to celebrate or something we slowly learn to dim. This is a conversation about inspiration and competition. Shadow and projection. Being needed versus being loved. The women who genuinely celebrate our expansion, the relationships that become one-sided, and the uncomfortable places our own wounds can keep us participating. Because not everyone who isn't your person is a villain. But some relationships aren't safe. Some people become comfortable receiving what we continually make available. And sometimes the most important work isn't figuring out why someone behaves the way they do it's becoming responsible for what we do with what we now know. This isn't about becoming suspicious of women. It's about becoming more conscious within our relationships with them. About recognising our own shadows without carrying someone else's. About noticing envy without shame. About repairing when repair is possible. Changing proximity when it isn't. And becoming the kind of woman who can stand beside another woman's light without needing to diminish hers or extinguish our own. Because perhaps we were never meant to compete over who shines brightest. We were meant to gather around the fire. The Women We Become Around A conversation about female friendship, envy, shadow, self-responsibility, proximity and knowing your people. If this conversation resonated with you, I'd love for you to share it with someone who might need this reminder too. MIDWEEK MUSE - A letter to the woman who keeps leaving herself
2026/08/12
Some conversations stay with us long after they end. This week, Tara shares a simple letter to the woman who has spent too long putting everyone else before herself. A gentle reminder to listen to the whispers, trust what you know, and remember that coming home doesn't happen all at once—it begins with one small act of choosing yourself. Take a deep breath. This one's for you. Connect with Tara: Facebook Instagram
The Slow Art of Abandoning Yourself
2026/08/08
There are moments in life that change everything. But more often...Life changes quietly. One small compromise at a time. One conversation we don't have. One boundary we don't hold. One feeling we convince ourselves isn't that important. Until one day we wake up and wonder how we ended up feeling so disconnected from ourselves. In this episode, Tara explores the quiet, often invisible ways we abandon ourselves, not through dramatic moments, but through the tiny acts of self-betrayal that slowly become our normal. Through deeply personal stories of friendship, business, relationships and rebuilding, alongside reflections on the nervous system, intuition and the roles we learn to play to feel loved and safe, she invites us to consider a different question. What if healing isn't about becoming someone new? What if it's about remembering the woman who has been there all along? This is a conversation about self-trust. About listening before your body has to scream. About understanding why we leave ourselves—and how we gently find our way home again. If you've ever ignored your intuition, stayed too long, explained yourself too much, or felt like you've lost sight of who you are beneath all the roles you've carried... This episode is your invitation to come home. Not all at once. But one small act of self-loyalty at a time. If this conversation resonated with you, I'd love for you to share it with someone who might need this reminder too. MIDWEEK MUSE - The things we already know
2026/07/28
Sometimes the answers we're searching for aren't waiting somewhere outside of us. They're already quietly living within us. In this Midweek Muse, Tara reflects on the gentle wisdom of learning to trust your own knowing. The knowing your body has carried before your mind could explain it. The feeling you've kept negotiating with. The truth you've been trying to soften, postpone or explain away. This is a short pause in the middle of your week. A reminder that clarity doesn't always arrive as a lightning bolt. Sometimes it arrives as the quiet whisper you've been hearing all along. Take a breath. Slow down. And ask yourself one simple question: What have I been pretending not to know? Because perhaps the next chapter of your life doesn't begin when someone else changes. Perhaps it begins the moment you trust yourself. If this reflection resonated with you, I'd love to hear from you. What you have been pretending not to know
2026/07/25
There comes a moment in every woman's life when she realises she wasn't fooled because she was weak. She was fooled because she was hopeful. In this episode of Muse Haus, Tara explores the quiet ways we ignore what we already know to be true. Through reflections on humility, discernment, childhood memories of The Smurfs and the rose-coloured glasses many of us unknowingly wear, she unpacks why we so often see people for who we hope they'll become, rather than who they consistently show us they are. This is a conversation about self-trust. About the stories we tell ourselves. About the difference between curiosity and judgement, compassion and self-abandonment, words and patterns. Because time has a remarkable way of revealing what charm, performance and promises never can. If you've ever stayed too long, explained away what didn't feel right, ignored your intuition, or found yourself grieving not just a relationship, but the version of yourself that kept hoping things would change, this episode is an invitation back to yourself. Because perhaps the hardest truth isn't what other people have been showing you. Perhaps it's what you've been pretending not to know. You don't stop wearing rose-coloured glasses because you stop believing in people. You stop wearing them because you finally start believing yourself. If this conversation resonated with you, I'd love to hear what stayed with you. MIDWEEK MUSE - Little Pieces
2026/07/24
We rarely lose ourselves all at once. More often, it happens in little pieces. A compromise here. An apology for who we are there. A dream put on hold. A boundary we didn't honour. A moment we chose someone else's comfort over our own truth. Until one day we look in the mirror and quietly wonder, "Where did I go?" In this week's Midweek Muse, Tara reflects on the subtle ways we hand pieces of ourselves away and why coming home to ourselves isn't one grand moment, but a thousand small acts of remembering. A gentle invitation to notice what you've been carrying, what you've been protecting, and perhaps... what you're ready to lovingly take back. Because healing isn't always found in becoming someone new. Sometimes it's found in gathering the little pieces of yourself and bringing them home. The Red Shoes (You've always had the power)
2026/07/22
Episode 4 — The Red Shoes (You've Always Had the Power) "You've always had the power, my dear. You just had to learn it for yourself." It's one of the most iconic lines ever written. A sentence from The Wizard of Oz that followed Tara from childhood, long before she understood why it stayed with her. In this deeply personal episode, Tara explores the difference between becoming and remembering, and why so many of us spend our lives searching for something we've quietly carried within us all along. Through stories of childhood, trauma, motherhood, relationships, healing, and the moments that shaped her own journey, she reflects on the ways life can slowly disconnect us from ourselves—and the quiet courage it takes to find our way home again. This isn't a conversation about finding your power. It's a conversation about remembering it. Not through achievement. Not through perfection. But through the slow and often beautiful process of returning to yourself. If you've ever questioned your intuition, watered yourself down to make others comfortable, or looked in the mirror and wondered where you went, this episode is an invitation to pause... ...to look down... ...and remember you've been wearing the red shoes all along. In this episode: • The deeper meaning behind The Wizard of Oz and why its message still resonates decades later • The difference between power, confidence and self-trust • How trauma, relationships and life experiences can quietly shape our identity • Why the Yellow Brick Road is a metaphor for the journey back to ourselves • Motherhood, raising daughters and protecting the parts of ourselves the world asks us to shrink • The masks we wear, self-abandonment and choosing wisdom over the wound • Why life isn't asking you to become someone new—but to remember who you've always been Perhaps the road was never leading you somewhere else. Perhaps it has always been leading you home. MIDWEEK MUSE - A little remembering
2026/07/14
What if the next version of you isn't someone you need to become? What if she's someone you've simply lost sight of? In this week's Midweek Muse, I'm sharing a quiet reflection on identity, the noise of modern life, and why I think so many women haven't lost themselves—they've simply been carrying so much that they've forgotten how to hear their own voice. This isn't another conversation asking you to do more. It's an invitation to pause. To breathe. To remember. And perhaps to trust that the woman you're searching for has been there all along, patiently waiting beneath the noise. A gentle five-minute companion before we meet again on Sunday. The Hardest Person to CHANGE is YOU
2026/06/28
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." It's a quote many of us have heard, shared, and deeply believed. But what happens when the hardest person to change isn't the world around you? What happens when it's you? In this episode, Tara explores the tension between awareness and responsibility, healing and ownership, compassion and courage. Through stories from her own life, reflections on motherhood, heartbreak, business, identity, and the work of Carl Jung, she unpacks the uncomfortable truth that growth isn't found in knowing better, it's found in becoming better. This is a conversation about shadow work, personal responsibility, resilience, and the moments life asks us to stop waiting for change and start embodying it. Not through perfection. Not through shame. But through the quiet courage of choosing again. If you've ever felt stuck in an old story, defined by a setback, or caught between who you've been and who you're becoming, this episode is an invitation back to yourself. Because perhaps the greatest irony of all is this: The change you've been searching for has never been waiting somewhere out there. It's been waiting within you. In this episode:  Why awareness alone doesn't create transformation  The difference between validation and responsibility  Carl Jung's Hero's Journey and the shadow self  The stories that quietly shape our identity  Motherhood, failure, grief, resilience, and becoming  Why courage rarely feels like confidence  How real change begins from the inside out A gentle but powerful reminder that the hardest person you'll ever be asked to change is yourself. And perhaps that's where your freedom begins. MIDWEEK MUSE - The Capable Woman
2026/06/23
At some point, many women become the capable one. The strong one. The dependable one. The one who figures it out when things fall apart. Over time, capability becomes identity. And identity becomes responsibility. But what happens when the woman carrying everything becomes tired? In this Midweek Muse, we're exploring the hidden cost of always being capable, the stories many women carry around strength, and the quiet permission to put something down. Because being capable was never meant to mean carrying the world alone. A small pause for the middle of your week. Come home to yourself. Connect with Tara: Facebook Instagram
You're not behind you're carrying alot
2026/06/21
What if you're not behind? What if you've simply been carrying more than most people can see? In a world that constantly tells us to do more, achieve more, optimise more and become more, it's easy to believe that if we're struggling to keep up, there must be something wrong with us. But often the truth is much simpler. We're exhausted. We're grieving. We're healing. We're holding families, businesses, relationships, responsibilities and expectations while quietly navigating our own inner worlds. In this episode, we explore the difference between capability and capacity, why so many women feel like they're falling behind, and how nervous system awareness can change the way we view ourselves completely. Because the question isn't always, "Why can't I do more?" Sometimes the question is, "How much am I already carrying?" This is a conversation about self-compassion, humanity, resilience, and the permission to stop measuring yourself against a version of life that doesn't account for the weight you've been holding. If you've been feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, or quietly wondering why everything feels harder than it used to, this episode is for you. Take a breath. Exhale the pressure. And come sit beside me. In this episode we explore:  Why feeling behind isn't always about performance  Capacity vs capability  Nervous system awareness and overwhelm  The invisible load many women carry  Identity, responsibility and self-expectation  Self-compassion as a leadership practice  Creating space before asking more of yourself Connect with Muse Haus: Instagram: @musehausco Instagram: @taraleemuses Connect with Tara: Facebook Instagram
Welcome to Muse Haus
2026/06/21
A space for the inner world. For the deep feelers, the dreamers, the women in the middle of becoming, and the women quietly trying to find their way back to themselves. Life asks a lot of us. We carry relationships, responsibilities, motherhood, work, grief, growth, ambition, healing, joy and everything in between. Somewhere along the way, it can be easy to lose sight of ourselves beneath the noise. Muse Haus was created as the place I spent years looking for myself. A space for thoughtful conversations, honest reflections and meaningful reminders of what truly matters. Each week, I'll share stories, essays and conversations exploring identity, relationships, motherhood, leadership, power, capacity, healing and the lifelong journey of remembering who we are. Not because you need fixing. Not because you need to become someone else. But because sometimes we all need a place to pause long enough to hear our own voice again. Maybe you're listening on a walk. Maybe you're sitting in the car for five extra minutes before heading inside. Maybe you're folding washing, driving to work, drinking your morning coffee, or finally finding a quiet moment at the end of a long day. However you've found your way here, I'm glad you did. Because this isn't a podcast about having all the answers. It's a space for asking better questions. For making sense of the seasons you've lived through. For reconnecting with yourself beneath the roles, expectations and pressure of everyday life. A space where all of you is welcome. The grieving parts. The growing parts. The hopeful parts. The messy parts. The parts still finding their way. So pour a tea. Pour a wine. Grab a coffee. Get comfortable. And stay for a while. Welcome to Muse Haus. Connect with Tara: Facebook Instagram
