There are no carbon copies because if we truly believe God’s Word, then we understand we have been fearfully and wonderfully made as well as uniquely designed by Him! We all have the potential to be beautiful, to be great and to live our life in purpose! In a world of images, it may appear that beauty is really only skin deep; but if we are going to forge ahead on this path to truly change who we are and redefine our FreshStart journey, then we must question the definitions the world gives to us. The campus of FreshU is buzzing with action and we know that sometimes it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement of everything. Instead of fulfilling our exact purpose, we tend to wake up everyday and live a mundane routine because that's what it seems everyone around us is doing. But, stop...take a deep breath and first realize you're still breathing! And if you're still breathing, you still have purpose! No one can fulfill the purpose God has revealed for your life so it is your task in life to answer the all-important question: WHY ARE YOU HERE? As we embark on this journey throughout FreshU, there are some prerequisites that we need to fill first. How can you begin to change yourself, challenge yourself and champion yourself, if you don't first love yourself? Loving yourself comes from believing in who you are and the value you bring to those around you regardless of the circumstances that may be present in your life. Your self-love and your self-worth are intricately tied to what you believe about God and how much He loves you. When we begin to measure ourselves against the truth of why we were created and God's unconditional love for us, we will realize we are more than worth it! It’s Season 5 and WE ARE BACK! We are so excited to be back with you live on the airwaves. We love having time to rest, recover and recharge, but we love even more being back with you, our army! This season, we are hoping to grow together, learn together and be better together! I cannot believe the season has come to an end! What an amazing journey it has been to spend this particular season with you. We journeyed through the holidays together as well as my birthday! It’s like we’ve been celebrating the entire time! More importantly, we have been on a journey of growth and it is my sincere prayer that you have taken an active role in your own growth as a person and as a builder in God’s kingdom. Everyday we are given a FreshStart and with that new beginning, we have the power to literally do anything! I want you to walk out of this season believing in who God created you to be and who God desires you to be. Today, you have a FreshStart because today I have a FreshStart! It’s my birthday and I’m celebrating with you! Yes, yes, yes! I’m so excited to share this milestone with you and I’m even more elated to be on this journey with you as we continue to grow together to become the individuals God has destined us to be. Have you ever wondered why you believe what you believe? Or taken the time to question who you believe? Even those strong in our faith can be shaken and it will cause us to question our deepest beliefs. We are so excited to have sharing with us for our birthday, our sister and friend, Ms. Latrice Pace to help us explore the obstacles we often encounter in our quest to believe in God, in ourselves and in our purpose. We will also explore those things that cause us to waver in our beliefs and what we can do to strengthen our faith and trust in what we believe. We are turning the corner in Season 4, but we are still focused on helping each other do the work as we commit to becoming the best version of ourselves. When we truly dedicate ourselves to becoming better, we will certainly encounter challenges as we travel the journey of growth. As we enter further into this new year and this new season, how can we be equipped to endure the uncertainties of what lies ahead and how can we better prepare ourselves to remain committed to our path? We have invited our good friend, Reverend Kimberly Mason, onto the show to help us discover the tools we need to be strengthened for the journey ahead. As we walk this real life journey, we should also evaluate our beliefs and practices. Where is your faith? Is it placed in the temporal or in tangible things that can easily fade away? Where do you place your hope or have you lost it because there seems to be no end in sight to the distress and trouble facing our world? It’s the final FreshStart Friday of the year and the final day of 2021! Look, what God has done. What a blessing it is to be able to experience this milestone after the extremely difficult year we have all had. Our world is still in such a state of distress and uncertainty, but one thing is true- God is still in complete control. No matter what has happened in your life, I’m sure you have experienced chaos in some form. When we encounter detours, we often begin to feel as though we’ve had the greatest life has to offer. I stopped by to say, “the best is still yet to come!” I can’t speak to what has happened in your life this year, but let this be your prayer and daily mantra- “in my life, the best is still yet to come.” Let’s have our final conversation in 2021 before I see you in 2022!
