You Are Enough: The Inner Work Behind Success, Self-Worth & Finding Your Purpose | JJ DiGeronimo
2026/09/30
What happens when you achieve the career, the titles, the recognition and the success you once dreamed of, but still feel like something is missing? In this powerful episode of the Loud Whisper Reignite Your Voice Podcast, Isabel Draughon sits down with award-winning author, keynote speaker, former tech industry leader, and women’s empowerment advocate JJ DiGeronimo for an honest conversation about what it really means to succeed while staying connected to yourself. JJ shares her journey from Silicon Valley leadership and external achievement to discovering the importance of inner work, self-love, mindfulness, intuition and spiritual alignment. Together, they explore: ✨ Why external success can never replace self-love ✨ The difference between gaining knowledge and actually doing the inner work ✨ How high achievers can lose touch with their own voice ✨ Why exhaustion can be a sign that you're living from pressure instead of alignment ✨ How to recognize the opportunities that truly feel right ✨ Creating "fuel stations" in your calendar to refill your energy ✨ Learning to be present and reconnect with yourself ✨ Letting go of expectations and other people's definitions of success ✨ Rediscovering the gifts and wisdom you already carry ✨ Why you don't have to become someone else to be enough ✨ How self-love can change the way you experience your life One of the most powerful reminders from this conversation is simple: You are enough right now. You don't have to reach another title, degree, milestone or level of success before you give yourself permission to be present, listen to your inner voice and honor who you are. If you've ever felt successful on the outside but disconnected on the inside, this conversation is for you. 🎙️ Guest: JJ DiGeronimo Author | Keynote Speaker | Women in Business & Technology Advocate | Founder of Together We Seek Find JJ and explore her books and work: JJDiGeronimo.com 🎧 Subscribe to Loud Whisper Reignite Your Voice for more honest conversations about healing, purpose, self-worth, identity, intuition and what it means to be human. #LoudWhisper #JJDiGeronimo #SelfWorth #InnerWork #WomenEmpowerment #PersonalGrowth #SelfLove #Purpose #Mindfulness #Intuition #SpiritualAwakening #HealingJourney #WomenInBusiness #HighAchievers #YouAreEnough The Loud Whisper Podcast: The Healing Space is your health and wellness podcast  the place where you can pause, breathe, and heal. The Closure Lie: You Don't Have to “Move On” to Heal | Neil Tricarico
2026/08/26
In this deeply moving episode of Loud Whisper: Reignite Your Voice, Isabelle Dron sits down with speaker, storyteller, and post-traumatic growth guide Neil Tricarico for an honest conversation about grief, loss, healing, courage, purpose, and what it really means to rebuild a meaningful life after everything changes. Neil shares his deeply personal journey following the loss of his only son, Anthony, and how that experience transformed his understanding of healing, identity, connection, and purpose. Together, Isabelle and Neil challenge one of the most common beliefs about grief: that we must eventually find “closure” before we can truly live again. Neil calls this the “closure lie.” What if healing isn't about getting over what happened? What if grief doesn't have an expiration date? What if we can carry pain and still experience joy, love, connection, and purpose? In this powerful conversation, they explore: • Why “closure” can become another source of pressure for people who are grieving • What it means to rebuild a life that may look the same but feel completely different • The difference between surviving and truly learning how to live again • Why courage may be more valuable than strength when navigating grief • How pain and joy can exist at the same time • Why grief may be love that needs to find new places to go • The idea of post-traumatic growth and finding purpose after adversity • Why positive thinking and mindset alone may not be enough • How our bodies can continue to hold experiences long after our minds believe we've moved forward • How opening your heart can create space for connection, support, and unexpected possibilities • Why you don't have to wait for tragedy to find your purpose • How healing can mean learning to live honestly, fully, and meaningfully while carrying what happened in a new way One of the most powerful ideas in this conversation is simple: Pain may remain part of the story, but it doesn't have to become the ending. This episode is for anyone navigating grief, trauma, major life changes, loss, or the difficult process of rebuilding — and for anyone who has ever felt pressured to say, “I'm fine,” when they weren't. This is a reminder that your journey is your own. There is no expiration date on grief, and there is no single timeline for healing. 🕊️ About Neil Tricarico Neil Tricarico is a speaker, storyteller, and guide for post-traumatic growth. His work helps people move beyond survival toward courage, meaning, connection, and a way forward after life changes everything. His work is rooted in his personal experience of losing his son, Anthony, and the journey of rebuilding that followed. 🎙️ About Loud Whisper: Reignite Your Voice Hosted by Isabelle Dron, Loud Whisper is a healing space for honest, real conversations about life, trauma, transformation, and the journey toward finding your voice again. I Knew What They Did. I Never Knew Who They Were. | Inherited Identity
2026/07/30
I grew up being told that girls shouldn't talk too much. Because who would want to marry a woman who talks too much? 🤍 So I didn't. I stayed quiet in grade school. In high school. In college. In my friendships. In my marriage. I didn't choose that, I inherited it, and it became my whole personality without me ever noticing. Today I speak for a living. But I want to be honest with you about what that took. For years I would be standing up in front of a room and hear this voice asking me, are you really supposed to be here? That wasn't doubt. That was conditioning. That was an identity somebody handed me a long time ago, still running in the background. In my newest solo episode I'm talking about inherited identity. What we absorb from our families, our cultures, our communities. And I want to be so clear: it is not a bad thing. The best parts of me as a human being and as a woman came straight from my African culture. I carry those with pride. But some of it was survival. And survival was never meant to be your permanent address. If something in your life feels stuck right now, ask yourself this: is this identity still serving who I'm becoming, or only who I used to be? #LoudWhisper #ReigniteYourVoice #InheritedIdentity #IdentityWork #ComingHomeToYourself #GenerationalHealing #BreakingCycles #SelfAwareness #HealingJourney #AuthenticSelf #SelfTrust #WomensHealing #InnerHealing #Wholeness #SelfWorth #UseYourVoice #BreakTheCycle #AfricanWomen #YouAreEnough #NewEpisode The Loud Whisper Podcast: The Healing Space is your health and wellness podcast  the place where you can pause, breathe, and heal. What Men Wish They Could Say Out Loud | Dr. Brian Paris on Burnout & Emotion
2026/07/08
"We're not human doings. We're human beings." Most of us have heard a line like that. Dr. Brian Paris actually lived the cost of forgetting it. This week Isabel does something a little different on the show. She usually talks about women, healing, and burnout, but this conversation zones in on something we rarely make room for: how men are really doing underneath all the achievement. Dr. Brian Paris built a multi-million dollar healthcare company, a five thousand square foot facility, fifteen employees, the whole picture of success. He was also, in his own words, very good at looking good. Behind it was burnout, addiction, a divorce, and a marriage where he and his wife would lie back to back at night hiding their phones from each other. He calls it being the fish in the bowl, so deep in the water that he didn't know there was another way to live. When his chiropractic career ended, he went looking for everything he had missed and landed deep in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and nervous system regulation. Now he coaches executives, entrepreneurs, and especially men on how to actually feel what they feel and still lead. A few of the things they get into: Why so many of us are good at looking good while it's messy under the carpetAchievement versus fulfillment, and why you don't have to pick oneThe "I am" trap, and how our words cast spells on other people and on ourselvesThe neuroscience of emotions, and why shame is the one we most often overlookWhy men need support, not solutions, and how that plays out at homeSurvival mode versus actually living, and how to tell which one you're inWhat Google's Project Aristotle found is the number one ingredient of a great teamThe simple morning practice Brian swears by before he ever touches his phoneThere is also a moment that ties the whole thing together. The same gut feeling Isabel taught her daughter to trust, that little signal that something is off, turns out to be the exact loud whisper this show is named after. "Name it to tame it." You Didn't Go Through All That Just to Be "Fine": Healing Betrayal | Dr. Debi Silber | Loud Whisper
2026/07/01
"You didn't go through all that just to be fine." That line lands harder the longer you sit with it, and it's the heart of this conversation. This week Isabel talks with Dr. Debi Silber, a holistic psychologist who didn't just study betrayal, she lived it. First from her family, then from her husband. After the second one she got him out of the house, looked at both experiences, and realized the common thread besides her was that she never took her own needs seriously. So with four kids, six dogs, a business, and thirty years since she had last been in school, she enrolled in a PhD program to study betrayal at the highest level. Her research turned into three discoveries that changed how we understand it. Here is the one that reframes everything: betrayal is not like other trauma. When you lose someone you love, people rally around you and you grieve. With betrayal, the person you trusted most becomes the person who hurt you, so you don't just lose them. You start questioning your own judgment, your sanity, and whether you can trust anyone ever again. And because the betrayer is so often loved by everyone else, you end up carrying it in silence. Debi walks Isabel through her five stages of healing, and why almost everyone gets stuck in stage three. Stage three is where you can finally function again, so it feels like progress. But you're living behind walls, flat, numbing the day with food or work or wine, telling yourself you're fine. People stay there for ten, twenty, thirty years. She also explains something a lot of us have never heard: why traditional therapy, as well intentioned as it is, can quietly lock you into that stage instead of moving you out of it. And Isabel brings in the thread she has been teaching for years. We are so quick to say this person or that person betrayed us, but the betrayal that keeps us smallest is often the one we commit against ourselves. A few things they get into: Why betrayal is its own kind of trauma, and why time alone never heals it The symptom cluster now known as Post Betrayal Syndrome, and how it shows up in the body The five stages of healing, and the one where almost everyone gets stuck How therapy can accidentally keep you stuck instead of moving you forward The woman in her eighties who healed a seventy year gut issue in two weeks Self-betrayal, and why women do it more than anyone The real cost of "easy now" and the payoff of "hard now" Why a boundary is thirty seconds of discomfort for a lifetime of freedom "The worst of it already happened. You owe it to yourself to see what the other side feels like." Loud Whisper: Reignite Your Voice is a podcast for anyone who is tired of performing and ready to come home to themselves. The Broken Parts Are the Parts People Love (They Just Don't Know It Yet) | Danitza Borges & Isabel Draughon
2026/06/24
"The broken parts are the parts people love. They just don't know it yet." That one line is worth the whole listen, and it stopped Isabel in her tracks. In this episode, Isabel sits down with Danitza Borges, a former corrections officer who lived through a situation that nearly cost her life. When the adrenaline wore off, one thought hit her: if she had died that day, her three-year-old son would have had almost nothing left of her. She went looking for a way to leave messages behind for the people she loved, couldn't find one, and spent the next six years building it herself. That became Elys, a platform that holds your videos, voice notes, photos, and music and delivers them to your loved ones on the dates you choose, even after you're gone. Out of the same need she also created the Hot Button, a safety app that starts recording the moment you feel unsafe, whether you're getting into a rideshare, heading out on a first date, or going for a jog. If your phone gets taken from you, the message still reaches your people. As Danitza puts it, the system was only ever built to help after something happens. Women deserve to be protected before. From there the two of them get into the things that don't usually make it into a polished bio. The masks we inherit and wear for years. Why we abandon ourselves just to keep everyone else comfortable. What a real legacy actually looks like once you strip away the followers and the bank account. And how loneliness quietly became one of the most dangerous things we're up against. Danitza opens up about the abuse in her past, the mask she chose to survive it, and the slow work of chiseling it off. Isabel gets honest about her own years of living with a victim mentality and what it finally took to put it down. It's funny in places, tender in others, and at one point Danitza pays the show a compliment that brings Isabel to tears. A few of the things they get into: How a near-death moment became Elys and the Hot ButtonThe jogging story you kind of have to hear to believeWhat a "legacy life" really means (hint: it isn't the followers or the bank account)Why we celebrate the finish line instead of the person who showed up to runLoneliness as an epidemic, and what leaning on AI for connection is quietly costing usThe "strong woman" mask, and why it doesn't peel off like a Band-AidLosing people as you heal, and learning who is actually meant to fly with youTaking the little girl inside you out of the driver's seat"You're always the cake. Everything else is just the icing." Loud Whisper: Reignite Your Voice is a podcast for women who are tired of performing and ready to come home to themselves. The Very Thing You're Ashamed Of Is the Very Thing That Sets You Free | Shame
2026/06/23
What if the very thing you're most ashamed of is the exact thing meant to set you free? In this deeply personal solo episode of Loud Whisper: Reignite Your Voice, Isabel Draughon opens her heart and shares a story she carried for nearly three decades. Sent from her home in Africa to the United States at 19 to chase an education, Isabel found herself pregnant and alone.. 8,000 miles from home, and spent years hiding in shame, convinced she had let her family down and fallen behind everyone around her. This is the story of how that shame slowly lost its grip… and how Isabel came to understand that the experience she was most ashamed of is the very thing that prepared her to guide and empower women today. As her youngest steps into adulthood, Isabel reflects on motherhood, identity, and the quiet voice that woke her one morning with a truth she'll never forget: "The very thing that you are ashamed of is the very thing that has set you free." If shame has kept you silent, small, or hidden, consider this your invitation to set it down, and finally come home to yourself. In this episode: Why we hand so much power to shame and what it quietly costs usIsabel's untold story of teenage motherhood, secrecy, and survival far from homeThe conversation with a dear friend that began to break shame's holdHow our hardest experiences become our deepest purposeWhy you can't fully step into authenticity until you release shameA reminder that a past phase does not get to define who you are"We have to stop being apologetic for being human." — Loud Whisper: Reignite Your Voice is your healing space, a podcast for women ready to heal, grow, and amplify their authentic voice. Stop trying to fix your life with Stuart Perrin
2026/04/15
Here are longer versions for the mirror reel: Option 1: Stop trying to fix your life. I know that sounds counterintuitive. But hear me out. If you looked in the mirror and saw a pimple on your face  you wouldn't try to wipe it off the glass. You'd go to where the pimple actually is. That's exactly what most people are doing with their lives. They see something wrong  in their relationships, their career, their circumstances  and they spend all their energy trying to fix what's outside of them. Never stopping to ask: what if the real work is internal? Stuart Perrin put it in a way I'll never forget. The moment you change what's within you you will literally see the world differently. And when you see differently, everything changes. This episode will challenge how you've been approaching your own life. The Healing Space Podcast with Stuart Perrin is live now. Link in bio. What if procrastination isn't about time management at all but about not trusting yourself?
