This week's episode is with the inspirational Noel Johnstone, Noel shares his story from humble beginnings to being one of Northern Ireland's top footballing talents at a young age, the loss of his mother sent him down a challenging path & he talks openly about this experience.  His struggle with gambling resulted in Noel developing traits not normally associated with his character which led him to steal, lie & £85,000.00 in gambling debt. Noel reached a turning point in life that made him make a change.  His new found passion for endurance see’s him hold records across Northern Ireland, some of his adventures include; walking the ulster way, cycling from Belfast to Poland & completing 40 marathons in 40 days. In Episode #21 we have the pleasure to speak with professional Chef Jon Watts & chat about his journey in life so far. Jon grew up in a period of time dubbed by the media as ‘Broken Britain’ with prospects limited & no real outlet for his energy, Jon got caught up in the wrong crowd & started making some very bad decisions & it is these decision that eventually led him to being sentenced to 6 & a half years in jail.  From his time in jail, Jon reflected on his actions & took the decision to make a change in his life, this accompanied with a new found passion for cooking helped Jon to focus his energy on something new. After leaving jail Jon worked for a number of restaurants before starting his own ventures including; starting his own food truck business, cooking for X-factor contestants & becoming a private Chef. You may have seen Jon’s recipes on social media where he has built up a following of over 40K people.  Jon’s story is a truly great example of how someone can completely turn their life around & demonstrates that one mistake should not & does not define the rest of your life. In Episode #20 we speak with Alexandra Cairns who’s journey in life so far has seen her move to the other side of the world to help local communities, work for a number of foundations in the 3rd sector & also complete an MBA at Alliance Manchester university.  Alexandra left school to study at the well known Oxford university, synonymous with being extremely challenging to get into Alexandra gives great insight into how the university was structured & the real benefits  & key skills she learned from this intense yet helpful academic lifestyle. After Oxford, Alexandra ventured into the charity sector, where she worked with a number of foundations, most noticeably was her work with CCBRT which seen Alexandra move to Tanzania for 2 years, by her own account a fantastic opportunity.  After some time Alexandra knew she wanted to develop her career further & thought an MBA at Manchester Alliance university was a great option.
