Description
Beth and James Deppa have a huge passion for helping couples create this mindset. They have been working on this for over 5 years. They are doing this because they struggled in their first marriages. The desire to not make the same mistakes again, they started to learn how to do this. They have been mentored by some of the best, read books, listened to podcasts, researched online and talked with people in different fields and experiences. They sat down with each other and worked through it piece by piece.

In this week’s episode of Honeymoon Mindset with Kids we discuss why dating your kids is so important to them and to you! The most important thing you can give to your children is your time. And by time we mean your undivided attention, your listening ear, your intentional connection.
All humans want to matter, belong, be heard, and feel loved. Kids are no different and when you let them know they matter by spending one on one time with them they can truly blossom.
This time will grow their self-esteem, confidence, and sense of identity. It will remind you to tap into your childlike joy. And it will build an everlasting bond between you and your child/ren.
And it doesn’t have to cost a thing to Date Your Kids!

How to Deal with Trophy Syndrome!
2022/01/26
Everyone has this ideal vison of their perfect life, partner and dream job.
We call this the Trophy Syndrome!
We put a lot of time and effort to get these trophies. When we get them sometimes it is not what we thought it would be. There are times, we need to remember that we need to keep bettering ourselves, so we are able to keep the trophy.
Are there things we can do to help with Trophy Syndrome?
There are a couple things we can do. First, we can continue bettering who we are as an individual. We are constantly learning, growing emotionally and spiritually. Secondly, we need to be grateful for what we have, the work we put into getting it and what it means to us. Thirdly, we need to be thankful.
If you are not sure how to deal with Trophy Syndrome, listen to this episode on How to Deal with Trophy Syndrome!

Quit Ruining Kids with Perfection!
2022/01/24
Kids are natural pleasers!
We make the stressed out with perfection by not expressing our expectations, being critical with them and not picking our battles.
We need to teach our kids to be okay with finishing things, their way of doing something is ok and letting them discuss things with us.
They learn from watching us, listening with our hearts and validating their thoughts and emotions.

Can You Use Passion as an Adverb?
2022/01/19
This episode is in response to a TikTok video I saw.
The gentleman in the video says that society says everyone needs to have more passion. He claims that not everyone's thing is passion, but some are curious, some are funny.
I agree with him in what he is saying in general. However, we all need more passion in our lives and in this world. That is why we created Honeymoon Mindset!
Listen to how we can add more passion in our life without changing who we are. Using passion as an adverb not as a verb.
