Advertise on podcast: SassafrasCast

I started SassafrasCast several years ago as a project purely for my own joy and fun. I loved witchy podcasts and I was getting deep into my own spiritual practice and I wanted a space to just share about that and the different topics I'd been getting excited about. It's reached an endpoint not because I don't enjoy the podcast anymore - but because life is full enough that I have to be honest with myself about what stays with me as I go into 2026 and what I leave behind so I can stop spreading myself too thin. I love this community like crazy. This patreon page will be shutting down at the end of the month but I am going to keep the discord and Facebook group running. Reach out to me - [email protected] if you'd like to be added to either. It's been a wonderful run. Note - this is the end of SassafrasCast but not the end of Sassafras Tarot. I still read cards - for now I am going to keep doing the Witchy Weather Report - and I will still be running classes and group experiences in the future. Follow @SassafrasTarot on your favorite social media sites or visit linktr.ee/sassafrastarot to stay in touch. love & magick, Rorie

In today's episode I talk about the reality of how fresh starts, and endings, present in our lives (it's never neat and tidy like in a book or movie!) and how to nurture ourselves through these changes. I offer a "phase in - phase out" ritual to help us cleanse our life of what we no longer want - and bring in the new beginning we are craving. I also go off on a little tangent (again) about how we need to stop doing the toxic bypassing thing about the Death card and allow ourselves to acknowledge endings.   This episode was recorded live with a (virtual) studio audience - thanks for tuning in, Sassafras Patrons! In today's episode I talk about healing your inner self: showing up for doing The Work, healing emotional wounds and learning how to show up for yourself better. We discuss the different parts of healing -- listening deeply to yourself and your subconscious, showing up with kindness to your inner self, and stepping up to make needed changes in your life. I offer a practice of writing letters to yourself to give yourself a regular way to check in with your own healing and self-relationship.   This episode was recorded live with a (virtual) studio audience - thanks for tuning in, Sassafras Patrons! In today's episode I encourage you to use witchcraft to overthrow the capitalist, colonialist patriarchy! Or in other words, I teach you to work with the moon cycle in a way that embraces focusing our attention and work both outward AND inward, honoring both work and rest, pushing and playing, challenging ourselves and deeply replenishing ourselves. I give you a quick framework for a mini ritual at every phase of the moon cycle, and a bigger overview of how to work with the energy of the moon AND your own energy and inner wisdom. Working with the moon means we both get to push hard for our goals and dreams, AND practice excellent self care and heal our inner selves. We don't have to do it all AT ONCE and we don't have to sacrifice one for the other. I also introduce the Monday Moon Magick and Meditation Club, which you can learn more about by visiting https://tinyurl.com/mondaymoon   This episode was recorded live with a (virtual) studio audience - thanks for tuning in, Sassafras Patrons! SassafrasCast Episode 51: Do It Wrong, Baby!   In today's episode I talk about putting your spiritual and personal growth practice on EASY mode. Let's take away barriers to having a spiritual experience or personal breakthrough by bailing on productivity culture and ableist concepts of what your practice "should" look like. We will talk through identifying what stands in the way of having an easy, accessible practice - and making hacks and changes so that we can get right into the good stuff with less stress and fewer challenges. I also encourage you to make a "to don't" list and let other people solve your problems instead of reinventing the wheel! In today's episode I talk about witchery for troubled times -- with an emphasis on remembering that thoughts and prayers don't get it done alone: our own two hands do. We talk about being a footsoldier of justice and the emotional and physical self care that is absolutely necessary to make it sustainable. We discuss protective magic, working with guides and archetypes, and a summoning spell for purpose and action.   This episode was recorded live with a (virtual) studio audience - thanks for tuning in, Sassafras Patrons! In today's episode I talk about intuition and emotional wisdom -- and how in order to commit to working with your own intuition, you also must commit to doing "the work" around your own emotional landscape. We talk about how to sort feelings from intuition insights -- what it feels like to be an empath vs being hypervigilant -- and how to understand when your inner wisdom is speaking to you, versus just cognitive bias or big feelings around a topic. Thiis episode was kind of a summary/companion piece to a two day Intuition and Emotional Wisdom workshop I ran recently - so here's a link to the replays of that workshop.   Intuition Workshop Day 1: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sassafriends/permalink/1509800490413137 Intuition Workshop Day 2: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sassafriends/posts/1510596063666913/ Note that viewing the replays require you to join the Sassafriends Facebook group -- which I'd love to have you in! It's a fun community where we talk about witchy stuff, self care, tarot and more.   I am also running a full 6-week Intuition and Emotional Wisdom journey starting on Nov 2nd, 2024 - here's where to get more information and sign up for that if you're interested!  https://mailchi.mp/roriekelly/intuition   This episode was recorded live with a (virtual) studio audience - thanks for tuning in, Sassafras Patrons! In today's episode I invite you to cultivate an air of romance and possibility in your life. I use the term romance in an expansive way - meaning, seeing your life as an exciting and meaningful story that is unfolding. This is also relevant to those looking for romance within their love lives -- but to lead a truly romantic life is so much bigger than just cultivating a certain type of relationship. I give you suggestions for a morning ritual to help you cultivate a daily sense of romance and adventure, and show up for your dreamiest self.   This episode was recorded live with a (virtual) studio audience - thanks for tuning in, Sassafras Patrons!
