Padamshree shayar Anwar Jalalpuri ( 6 July 1947 – 2 January 2018) is born in the town Jalalpur ( district Ambedkar Nagar ) which is is very famous for the Urdu poets. He achieved many milestones in establishing himself as the true genius of 3 different languages. He is a lecturer in English by profession and an academician & poet by heart ! He has taken up a unique task of translating 700 Shlokas of the Bhagvad Geeta into Urdu verses and published in devnagiri & urdu. Driven by an urge to promote communal & ethnic harmony, this initiative is really outstanding ! He is of the opinion that “Geeta, Upanishads and Quran are nothing less than ‘human heritage’ and they must be preserved at all cost. Episode had the description of his Poetry and different shades of life. Author Anand kakkar had a personal connect with Anwar sahab and had published articles and participated in debates on shayar's death anniversary.

Wo kagaz ki kishti wo barish ka pani-Nazm had popularized Sudarshan 'Fakir' with common ghazal listners of the world. Fakir was fortunate to pen 7 classic ghazals for Begum Akhtar. "Hum toh samjhe thye ke barsat mein barsegi sharab, aayi barsat toh barsat ne dil tod diya" was a Megabhit ghazal by team Begum Akhtar and Fakir. His classmate, Ghazal maestro Jagjit singh has composed an album 'The Latest' of only his ghazals. The team of Fakir and Jagjit singh has produced more than 20 ghazals. The songs and ghazals of Sudarshan Fakir was sung by Rafi sahab, Asha bhisle, Manna dey, Bhupinder Singh , Pankaj Udhas, Ashok Khosla, Rajkumar Rizvi, Nirmal udhas, Kumar Sanu, Anuradha Podwal, udit narayan, & kavita krishnamurti etc. Film 'Dooriya' had his an award winning song...Zindagi mere ghar aana zindagi which was a duet by Bhupunder singh and Anuradha podwal. Fakir was a lonely man throughout his life and avoided public appearances. He never had a training under any Ustad ( teacher) & possessed any Shagird (desciple). He was unique in this approach of not to follow the 'Guru-Shishya Parampara'. He was recorded a lot by ghazal singers and heard by millions music lovers through records , cassetes, CDs and youtube. But its a surprise that even after +50 year's carrer, Fakir couldn't witness a Book release. His 1st and only shayari book " Kagaz ki kishti" was released after 11 years of his death in 2019. This short episode will describe his poetry, friends and personal life. India is fortunate to have a ustad shayar like Sudarshan 'Fakir', who served both Urdu and Hindi languages.
