In this episode, I reflect on the past two days of the Africa Conference. I was reminded of a powerful truth: education and family are not separate journeys they are deeply connected, and when grounded in faith, they become a force that can change generations. In this episode, I dive into the incredible value of showing up to conferences like this. These aren't just events they are divine appointments. They awaken something in you. They expand your mind, sharpen your vision, and shake up your thinking. You walk in one way and walk out completely recharged mentally, spiritually, and even professionally. We often limit the Word of God to spiritual revival alone but let me tell you, God’s Word holds principles for parenting, leadership, business, education, personal growth, and so much more. When applied, biblical values become your greatest asset not just in church, but out in the real world. I was deeply inspired by some of the most profound voices across the continent and the diaspora. I had the privilege of hearing from a diverse and inspiring group of speakers: * Dr. Samuel Hayes Jr * Rev. In this episode, I share from the heart about what it truly means to serve the Kingdom of God not just in big, visible ways, but in the quiet, consistent acts of faithfulness. Whether it’s through financial giving, volunteering, or simply saying “yes” to small opportunities in our local church, every action has the power to grow and expand God’s Kingdom. I also spoke on the weight of obedience how saying “no” to God’s call doesn’t just affect us, but can impact those around us. Sometimes, it’s the little things we do or don’t do that shape the spiritual atmosphere of our homes, churches, and communities. Remember: God multiplies the little we offer when it’s given from a surrendered heart. Don’t underestimate your “yes.”

It’s really sad how we’ve reduced serving the Kingdom to something we do when it’s convenient… when it fits around our lives, our schedules, an audience watching or when there’s something in it for us. We’ve made serving about platforms, performance, and praise and in the process, we’ve forgotten what it actually means to serve the One who gave it all. In this episode, I speak from the heart. I share a personal testimony from July 2017 the moment I stopped just being someone born into a Christian family and truly became a follower of Christ. That was the moment I realised: serving God isn’t about being seen. It’s about surrender. This podcast episode is a reminder that real service comes from a place of purpose a deep “why” that isn’t tied to the spotlight but to obedience. We can proudly say we are Abanyamulenge not just because of the sacrifices of our ancestors, but also because of the resilience of those who are still back home, facing human rights abuses while preserving our identity and continuing the fight for our rights. While many of us may now live in Western countries, thriving in our careers, education, and daily lives, we must never forget who made that possible. Our identity would not exist without the community back home, those who have given more than money could ever offer. They have given us something far more valuable: AN IDENTITY. Don’t let greed or comfort blind you to this truth. When you are asked to support IWACU and advocate for our people back home, remember that your financial support does more than just provide security, aid, and resources, it also preserves your own identity in these Western societies. You’re not just helping them you’re helping yourself. The support you give allows you to walk with your head held high, knowing you come from somewhere, that you belong to a people, and that you have a place to call home

We have been patronised for decades, denied basic human rights, accused with false allegations, silenced, etc as a tactic to force us to flee our home defeated, but today we stand tall heads held up high #proundtobecalledAbanyamulenge telling you we will raise our voices and we will fight until we are liberated 💚✊🏽. Like it or not you cannot wipe us from the face of the world. We were created with purpose and He who created us will fulfil that purpose! Why is it that when it is Your people it’s Genocide, injustice and Inhumane, but when it is my people we are “Victimising” ourselves and “seeking attention”, you say! Why should I stand with you when you’ve decided to stand against me, why should I fight with you when you’ve decided to be a bystander in my battles, why should I advocate for you when you have chosen to stay silent for me. WHY? You might have chosen to turn a blind eye to the truth of the matter but don’t ask me to do the same thing. Stop demanding and expecting Me to turn a blind eye on my own. It is You who have decided to be In denial, and continue to pretend that you do not see or know what is happening to my people despite of all the evidence and core facts presented in front of you, Not me. So today, I Unapologetically chose to stand for my own! When you defend your own you expect me to support and sympathise with you. But when I support my own you belittle me, attack me and more. Stop trying to guilt trip me or make me fee like speaking for my people is wrong when YOU do not find it wrong to speak for yours.

The DRC conflict has been completely taken out of context by different groups. Let me just remind everyone that this is not a tribal war this is Congo vs M23 not Vs Abanyamulenge or any other Tribe in DRC Congo itself. Everyone is being brainwashed not only by the Westetn communities but also by Rwandese ideology resulting to people applying western and Rwandese Doctrines in a wrong conflict. This is a time to stand in solidarity and unified. This is the time to advocate for DRC Congo’s Liberation and all the innocent lives lost as a result of this conflict. It’s time to sympathise and empathise with families being impacted by this event. It’s not a time to point fingers at your own fellow Congolese.

Is it really advocating for human rights if that’s only shown or channelled the moment your own people are being prosecuted? Should we have a say on who deserves being advocated for and who doesn’t . Are human rights truely served or advocated for when done out of convenience? Do we believe that every human life deserves to be advocated for, if so why then do we keep quiet until our homes are attacked? Are we truely being a human right activist or just attention seekers?

It’s really important that before we fall into a trap of circulating information about other’s that we check its reliability. Just because a rumour is repeated more than multiple times by different people it doesn’t mean that it is accurate and true. Let us avoid falling into a habit of believing everything that we hear about others. Circulating false information does nothing but tarnish other people’s image.

Is there ever a right time to be proposed too? Should the responsibility always be the men’s to initiate the relationship? When is the right time to suggest that it’s time to take things to the next step? What is the women’s role in a relationship, if she has any?

When God delivers you from a season, He prepares and advances the next season for you. Do not allow discouragement make you believe it is impossible to reach for what God has ordained for you.

Never allow anyone belittle your achievements despite of how the rest of the universe perceives it. And For those who continue to achieve big remember that you play a huge role in inspiring those who are just starting off and don’t be so discouraging when they share their little achievements with you because you were also once there…

Whilst all comparisons are not healthy there’s however some comparisons that are important for us. The kind that uplifts us and encourages us to keep going in life where we could have just given up not just on ourselves but all relationships around us……..

Always stay grateful for what you have, never wish for the unknown. The issue is never the external things or the people around us but who we are. When you channel into who you are and work on that all will be good, sometimes you're your own problem! We just look for external things or people to blame it on but the reality is we know who the real problem is, Ourslves! The reality is if we look in the mirror, the only person stopping us from getting what we want is ourselves and no one else, whether it’s career wise, our relationship or even the little thing as just waking up in the morning turning up for training…..

It is Important that when we seek advice we completely tap into who we are and that we’re honest about the advice we’re seeking to better receive the Outcome that we NEED and not the Outcome that we WANT. Also tapping into the correct people that God has positioned into our life for better advices is really important because not everyone who we consider a friend or even a family qualifies to give us the advice that leads us where God intends for us to be both spiritually and or otherwise. But to be able to do all this we must understand the importance of vulnerability while seeking this advice.
