Description

What started as a crazy idea turned into an industry movement which afforded us the opportunity to sit down with and learn from some incredible people. Our guests were generous with their time and their stories, and those conversations forever shaped how we think about faith, family, work, and leadership more than we could have ever expected. Suffice it to say, 17Twenty meant a lot to us over the years. However, as time went on, life filled up. Families  got busier. Kids got older. Commitments multiplied. We started businesses, which has been challenging (and a lot of fun). As a result, schedules became harder to align and it became clear that we could not keep giving this wonderful little space we carved out on the internet the time and attention it deserved.Thank you for listening, for sharing episodes, for encouraging us, and for being part of this along the way. We are grateful for this season of life and for everyone who was part of it. And to our faithful listeners ... keep moving mountains!Though the episodes will slowly roll off of all podcasting platforms over time, all episodes will remain available for free at the link below:https://bit.ly/17TwentyArchive

2024/03/04
This week we are privileged to sit down with Steve Bruszer, the President of Spring Valley Construction Company.  Part of what makes the podcast so special is hearing people's stories, and do we have a few stories to tell this week. From growing up in a "three flat" in Chicago to finding construction, Steve weaves a narrative that speaks to his roots and what made him the success that he is today.  One of this striking things about Steve's story is the number of individuals he specifically called out by name who were by his side all along the journey, coming full circle back to a group of friends that he grew up with back in Chicago and a book about their childhood.
