Always trying to be the best of the best? Being competitive is ingrained in us because we live in a society that rewards it. The real question is what truly drives this competition?  Competition is commonly derived from jealousy, we always focus on external targets like what the other person has. It is important to shift the attention away from other people and focus on ourselves instead. Stop!  Are you mindlessly scrolling through this webpage or other social media? It’s easy to fall into these unhealthy patterns because we have an innate desire to fulfil cravings and please our senses. As a result we can find ourselves in dangerous situations.  However we should be mindful of our habits and utilise social media for good.
