My good friend Dan Jaros sit's down to talk about his exhilarating ground hunt which resulted in him taking his largest racked and heaviest buck to date, a buck that I had a few previous encounters with as well. You may recognize the buck as the one doing the grooming in an earlier video on my channel earlier this season. Tyler Forbes got into hunting just 5 years ago and is the best example of shortening the learning curve by putting in tons of hard work. In just 5 years he's turned into a highly knowledgeable and successful hunter which culminated in him killing a World Class 180+ inch buck this season in a hard state to do so. Seeing proof of a buck jumping from 100 inches to 135, then to possibly 185 is proof of what passing younger deer can lead to. We believe that each person's individual hunting journey is unique and don't advocate for everyone to pass deer in all circumstances. We think that everyone should do what their heart desires and make the choice that makes them happy! TO SUPPORT OUR SHOW Come to Huntstock! To find a really buck in the Northeast and have the determination to put everything you have into hunting him is a rare occasion. In this episode we cover this 3 year pursuit of the buck he calls King of the Hill, as well as discuss buck personalities, learning how to identify them and hunting them based on their personality. Derek Verville sits down to tell the seven year story of his hunt for a buck named Uno. It is a rare accomplishment to kill a buck that you've had seven years of history with. The hard work, sacrifices, and emotions experienced in such a quest test your limits but the reward is fulfilling. We also discuss Derek's origin story as an all-out die-hard mature buck hunter, his strategies that have made him continually successful, and we discuss many other aspects of hunting and life. CJ McMahon has been a student of Dan Infalt's Hunting Beast tactics, reading, watching, and digesting as much information has he could over the years. Recently he has seen those efforts come to fruition as he has been consistently killing giant bucks with his archery equipment in the state of Maine. He also hunts New Hampshire and Massachusetts and has found success in those states as well. He comes on the podcast to talk about his most recent hunt, where he took a giant velvet buck on the opening day of Maine's expanded archery season. He also talks about his strategies, how some of them differ from Dan's, and some of the keys to his success that you all can take with you for seasons to come. SHOW SUMMARY Dan Drew is another New Hampshire deer hunter who hunts 60 days a year and has been hunting for more than 50 years.  He is a meat hunter who doesn't pass up on opportunities at legal deer, but has also killed quite a few big bucks. He and his hunting crew utilize deer drives, and Dan has gotten a lot more into bowhunting lately, hunting strictly from the ground. He's a great storyteller, has a gregarious personality that brightens up a room, and he has done some really unique things to help him get deer and which you may find helpful to your upcoming seasons.
