God has empowered and entrusted the church with the authority to bring this world from its grave of sin to enjoy the abundant life in Christ. This life giving authority is an authority exercised through life giving prayer. Communities are desperate for our life giving prayers to be lifted up and become the beneficiaries of our life giving prayer the very same way that Lazarus became the beneficiary of Jesus’ life giving prayer. 

What is a spiritual stronghold if not the compilation of our thought processes and thinking patterns that arise against the truth of the word of God? All the enemy must do to set a stronghold is to influence the thought. That is all he did in the Garden and with a simple thought he will bind a man, he will chain a family, he will capture a culture, and even poison the fabric of a nation, a bond so deep that you will believe that is who you are…

Being busy has become a badge of honor and the new status of success. We brag about our busyness and feel ashamed if our day was not as busy as the next person because we now measure our worth and satisfaction in terms of productivity. We have come to believe that we are defined by the things we get done, and we assess and classify others in terms of their profession, their accomplishments and their usefulness. We must learn to rest!
