I really am unorganized and when I obsess with my work, oh that's a recipe for disaster. I burnt out last month even though it was creative and I took on dream clients. I took 1 month off to reflect on what lifestyle I want to live going forward that would make me happy. With that came the addition of adding some hobbies like surfing, fishing, and FPV droning. But I also realized many other things like, my schedule was atrocious and all the stress I felt was self-imposed.  I feel like when you're progressing in life, you inevitably hit these very common feelings, but when picking back up. You learn everything on a new degree. and once again stumble, but on a higher step. Life is wild. Stress is self-imposed.

Within the past couple days I got a request for an awesome opportunity. The problem is, I had never done exactly what they were asking form. Animation.  I ended up closing the deal. Listen to the podcast to get an insight on how I maintained confidence and found a quick solution.

Catchy title huh?! lol. I have to do something to get your attention.  Here's the breakdown. I believe we are all full of contradictions, as that helps us rationalize our future choices. But only, when we have cleared up those contradictions. In business right now, I'm facing a huge contradiction. I'm making good money but I'm still in a "job" even though I'm freelancing and a business owner and blah blah blah. I'm still trading my time for money. My end goal, I guess is to just amass as much capital as possible with this opportunity I have, so that I can create assets that make me wealthy. In essence, create money out of thin air, just like the government prints it. With the culmination being, I have financial freedom to pursue creative projects that fulfil my being. I don't want a retirement account, I don't want benefits, I don't want you paying for my future. I want to help others around me as I help myself. lol, thanks for listening and being my therapist.

I had 4 different mentors so far in my life.  The first two were my parents. Mom and Dad. The third was my first real boss, a real estate broker Doug. And my most recent, Rachel (fake name). All these people helped shape my business mind in a way that I will always be grateful about.

I have to come clean. A project that was going to make me that $25k/month. It didn't go through. I found out right after I recorded the second podcast. I was still able to close on $15k that month which is still a gigantic leap for me coming from a 6k/month salary job. It still surprises me that I was only one client away from making that $25k in a month. Either way. In this episode I went through all the different avenues I used to get my first client after being let go.

No one has probably told you what it's like the first week of an internship as a software engineer. I lay it all out here. How I made stupid mistakes that cost our clients $15,000 ... How I vibed with the other engineers, the noob classes I had to take, my benefits, my salary, and much more. 

Yes, the title is pretty click bait-ee. But it's the truth. I was the kid your mom wanted you to be. Straight A's finished four year degree at age 19 1/2. Played violin blah blah blah... Yeah I was a first child. But holyyy crap, was I in for some crazy reality check when it was time to find a "job".  Want the long story short? I ended up hating my field of finance. Worked as a realtor. Sucked at it. Worked at Target, enrolled in a masters degree for computer science. Dropped out of that degree, got an internship. Worked full time, got let go. Started my company. First months were 2-3k/month. 8 months later, I just hit my first $25k/month. I'm 26 years old.
