Lets try this again. This is Part 1 of a 4 part series I will be doing on the Controversies of George Lucas. On today's episode I talk about who 'owns' Star Wars once it has been put out into the public? Does the director get to say what happens to the old film even though the public remembers it? Is George his own worst critic? You be the judge and let me know what you think. https://allmylinks.com/whoshotfirstswpod

Happy Star Wars Podcast Day! We are back with another topical episode about the representation of the Tusken Tribesmen on Tatooine in The Book of Boba Fett. Ethan And Alex talk about how the Tuskens get humanized from their earlier interpretations, how they are obviously representative of Native Americans and how they are discarded when they no longer served the plot. Is this acceptable? Is being better but not great good enough? All these questions and more on this weeks episode.  We are celebrating Star Wars Podcast Day 2022! We Stand with the LGTBQ+ Star Wars fandom. On today's episode Ethan and Alex talk about the first High Republic era game to be made is given to a studio with a plethora of issues. We talk about the accusations of Bigotry, Racism and Sexism. We then talk about how Disney continues to fail it's most marginalized fans as they refuse to take stands about important issues. On today's episode, Alex and Ethan take a deep dive into the subtle microaggressions that were put on the character of Finn in The Force Awakens that might not have been seen by non-people of color. We are 2 white men talking about the problems with the portrayal of People of Color in the Star Wars Universe. We by no means speak for people or color. These are our own perceptions and would like to elevate other voices so that they may be heard.  Here are the links to the powerful articles we used in today's episode. https://www.thestreet.com/opinion/despite-what-you-ve-heard-disney-s-star-wars-the-force-awakens-is-racist-13408065 https://medium.com/fan-fare/the-force-awakens-and-the-story-of-finn-ee9e325d8c37 https://www.syfy.com/syfy-wire/rey-finn-romance-removed-from-star-wars-the-force-awakens-novelization

We are back after a short break with a new release schedule of once a month. On today's episode, Alex, Ethan and Sarah welcome Chris Ryons of Broaxium to talk about the false marketing of Finn to the African American Community for The Force Awakens. Was it a bait and switch? A bait and wait? Was Finn ever given the opportunity that was shown in the trailers? Find out all this and more on episode!.

On today's episode, Alex and Sarah talk about the lighter controversy of are the Ewoks good or bad? Are they beneficial to Return of the Jedi or simply a marketing device to sell toys?

Today we talk about the issue of domestic abuse representation in The Clone Wars. Rush Clovis hits on Padme and brings out all of the jealousy and anger from Anakin leading to a confrontation. Is this appropriate for children? Did they do it well? Correspondent Sarah returns to talk about this issue and bring new ideas to light.

#UnwhitewastTBB On today's episode we welcome Andrés from @SithtyMinutes to talk about the current controversy surrounding The Bad Batch tv show. Why do clones of a Maori man look like white people? Why does a white man voice people of color? Why is the one character that is voiced by a Jewish woman shows all the subtle signs of antisemitism? All this and much more where we called in the whole crew of Alex, Ethan and Correspondent Sarah.  Check out this carrd made by tumbler user Clonehub UnwhitewashTBB.
