After getting accepted to multiple medical schools he decided to attend Duke University School of Medicine where he got involved in leadership positions, such as serving on the medical school admissions committee. Darin Gilchrist and Oluwatomiwa (Tomi) Oladunni met before the start of college at UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) and have been friends ever since. Now they are both second year MD/PhD students at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
