Check in on a Brother
2026/08/23
💚 THE BROTHER CHECK-IN | 3 Questions. One Honest Conversation. Sometimes we ask our mates, “How are you?” without ever really asking how they are. The Brother Check-In is a short 2–5 minute conversation where I sit down with a brother — a mate — and ask just three simple questions about life, the week they’ve had and where their head is at right now. No big interview. No pressure. No judgement. Just a conversation. And it seems only right that we begin with Boab — the very first guest ever interviewed on the Green Sunrise Podcast. Because checking in with your mates shouldn’t only happen when something is wrong. Sometimes three questions and a few minutes of somebody’s time can open a conversation that really matters. 💚🌅🫶 Remember, you are Green Sunrise. Decide on Life. ⸻ 💚 NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO? The Interstellar Lost Art of Being Bored🔭🧑‍🚀
2026/08/18
The Interstellar Lost Art of Being Bored 🌌 | Green Sunrise Podcast When was the last time you did… absolutely nothing? No scrolling. No notifications. No music in your ears. No need to reach for your phone. Just you, your thoughts and a little bit of silence. In The Interstellar Lost Art of Being Bored, we take an interstellar journey away from the noise of modern life and ask what might happen if we stopped trying to fill every empty moment. Maybe boredom isn’t something we need to escape. Maybe it’s where creativity returns. Where we begin listening to ourselves again. Where we remember what’s important. You can’t control every storm that comes towards you — but you can take hold of the controls and decide where you point yourself next. Put the phone down. Look upwards. Give your mind some room to breathe. Your story isn’t finished. 💚🌅 You are Green Sunrise. Boab Update from Studio 73
2026/07/31
🎙️ Green Sunrise Podcast | Studio 73 with Boab Welcome to Studio 73… otherwise known as Boab’s living room. What began as a joke about the number on the front door soon became one of the most honest and heartfelt conversations we’ve ever recorded. In this deeply personal episode, Boab joins Paul C. Quinn to reflect on why the Green Sunrise Podcast was created, where life has taken him since our very first episode, and, most importantly, how hope can still be found even after your darkest moments. Boab speaks openly about a life that was once consumed by suicidal thoughts, moving from place to place with little more than cardboard boxes, multiple hospital admissions, and three suicide attempts before finally receiving a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) at the age of 48. Rather than seeing the diagnosis as the end, Boab describes it as the beginning of finally understanding himself. We explore the difference between simply treating symptoms and discovering the root causes of our struggles, the importance of finding the right consultant, the right medication, and the right people to walk alongside you. Boab also shares why hearing real stories from people living with EUPD became just as important as anything he read in a clinical setting. At the heart of this episode is the incredible work of Men Matter Scotland, a charity that didn’t just support Boab—it introduced him to lifelong friendships, purpose, and a community that continues to save lives every single day. We also discuss the Crisis Team, peer support, and why sometimes the bravest thing anyone can do is simply pick up the phone. Along the way, there are plenty of lighter moments too—from Kevin the Skeleton making another appearance, to our favourite conversations over lunch at Haylynn Canteen, stories from the allotment, dreams of taking the podcast on the road, and why the simple art of conversation can often be the greatest therapy of all. Boab shares one analogy that perfectly explains what living with EUPD can feel like: “Imagine fifty thoroughbred horses outside your window. Now imagine someone hands you every single rein and asks you to hold them back.” That is the pressure Boab describes living with every day—and yet today he is in the longest period of his adult life without returning to hospital. This episode is for anyone who has ever wondered… “How can I tell someone what’s wrong when I don’t even know what’s wrong myself?” Boab’s answer is beautifully simple: Start by talking. You don’t need all the answers before you reach out. Whether you’re living with EUPD, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, or you’re simply struggling with life’s pressures, we hope this conversation reminds you that there are people who genuinely want to listen. Please reach out to trusted family or friends, your GP, mental health professionals, or organisations such as Men Matter Scotland, Andy’s Man Club, and other peer-support services available in your community. Please don’t live in silence. Your story isn’t over. 💚 Remember… You Are Green Sunrise. Decide on Life. 🌅

2026/07/27
🌅 Green Sunrise Podcast – Mini Series | Episode 11: You Don’t Have to Wear the Mask How many times have you smiled on the outside while struggling on the inside? In this powerful episode, Boab explores the masks we wear to hide our pain, why we convince ourselves that saying “I’m fine” is easier than telling the truth, and how one honest conversation can change everything. Being vulnerable isn’t a weakness—it’s one of the bravest things you’ll ever do. This episode is a reminder that you don’t have to carry life’s weight alone. If this episode resonates with you, please like, share and leave a review. You never know who might need to hear these words today. Remember… you are Green Sunrise. Comparison Is The Thief of Joy (8/100)
2026/07/21
Episode 8 – Comparison Is the Thief of Joy We live in a world where it’s never been easier to compare ourselves to everyone else. Social media shows the highlights, not the hardships. We see promotions, holidays, perfect relationships and smiling faces, while quietly wondering why our own life doesn’t measure up. But here’s the truth: every person is fighting battles you can’t see. In this episode of the Green Sunrise Podcast Mini Series, we explore how comparison quietly steals our confidence, our gratitude, and our happiness. We’ll talk about learning to celebrate your own journey, focusing on progress instead of perfection, and remembering that your value isn’t determined by someone else’s success. Your path is different. Your timing is different. And that’s okay. Because the only person you should aim to be better than… is the person you were yesterday. Remember—you are Green Sunrise. Decide on life. 💚🌅 #GreenSunrisePodcast #ComparisonIsTheThiefOfJoy #MentalHealthMatters #ChooseYou #SelfWorth #ProgressNotPerfection #BeKindToYourself #MindsetMatters #GrowthMindset #Confidence #SelfAcceptance #MentalWellbeing #PositiveMindset #LifeLessons #PersonalGrowth #StopComparing #YouAreEnough #Podcast #MentalHealthPodcast #DecideOnLife 💚🌅

2026/07/11
Almost everyone experiences anxiety at some point in their life, but what happens when it starts to take over? Whether you've experienced anxiety yourself or want to better understand someone who has, this episode offers reassurance, understanding and hope. 🌅 Episode 3: Why Men Don't Talk
2026/07/11
Why do so many men suffer in silence? From a young age, many boys are taught to be strong, hide their emotions, and deal with problems on their own. Over time, those lessons can become barriers that prevent men from speaking up when they need support the most. In this heartfelt episode, Paul explores the pressures society places on men, the fear of vulnerability, and the dangerous belief that asking for help is a sign of weakness. Through honest reflection, we examine why so many men choose silence over conversation and why breaking that silence could save lives. This episode is a reminder that true strength isn't found in hiding your struggles—it's found in having the courage to share them. Because no man should ever feel he has to carry the weight of the world alone. 🌅 Green Sunrise Podcast – Decide On Life 💚

Living With Autism — Behind The Scenes (Episode 1)
2026/03/04
🎙 EPISODE 1 Behaviour Is CommunicationLiving With Autism — Behind The Scenes📄 Episode Description What looks like defiance is often distress. What looks like aggression is often overwhelm. What looks like “bad behaviour” is often communication. In this first episode of a new reflective series, I share what I’ve learned supporting a 17-year-old autistic young person in everyday life. No names. No judgement.Just lived experience. We explore: • Why emotional outbursts aren’t sudden• The early signs of overwhelm most people miss• What dysregulation really means• The “shaken bottle” metaphor• The power of a mother’s consistency over 17 years• And who he is when the storm passes This episode isn’t about labelling behaviour. It’s about understanding what’s underneath it. Because when we change the way we see behaviour —we change the way we respond. If you want something slightly more punchy for socials, use this shorter version: Episode 1: Behaviour Is Communication Behind every outburst is a nervous system in overwhelm.Behind every threat is distress.Behind every “difficult moment” is something unprocessed. This episode looks underneath behaviour — and what changes when we do. Living With Autism — Behind The Scenes (Series)
