Stop Doubting the Version of You that Wants More with Heather Hellmann
2026/10/01
What if the thing keeping you stuck isn’t a lack of ambition, but the environment, relationships, and version of yourself you’re still trying to hold onto?
In this episode, I’m sitting down with Heather Hellmann for a conversation about what it really takes to reinvent yourself, build a business that feels aligned, and become more comfortable being seen as who you actually are.
We get into:
Why entrepreneurship requires more than freedom, and what Heather learned from building, burning out, and rebuilding
The role community and the right relationships play in your growth
Why “failing forward” is still momentum
Visibility, personal branding, and the fear of making the wrong move
How Heather uses Human Design, astrology, and strategy in her work
What choosing peace can cost you, and why some relationships won’t come with you
The connection between your environment, energy, and the life you’re trying to create
Why getting honest with yourself might be the first step toward real change
The courage it takes to stop performing and start showing up as yourself
One of the biggest reminders from this conversation is that we don’t need to have the entire next chapter figured out before we move. Sometimes we just need to admit that what’s working now isn’t where we want to stay.
So take a look around. Who has access to you? Where is your energy going? What are you tolerating because it’s familiar?
And if nothing changed from here, would you actually want this same life five years from now?
Maybe the next version of you doesn’t need more permission. Maybe she just needs you to make the first move.

You Don’t Need The Whole Plan, Just The Next Move with Lisa Guest
2026/09/25
What if the thing that completely changes your life is something you can’t even see coming yet?
In this episode, I’m sitting down with my friend Lisa for one of the wildest full-circle conversations. She went from painting houses and physically working herself out of that career, to selling things out of her living room, to opening Retail Therapy, (a magical resale store) and creating a community she never could have planned for.
We get into:
What happens when life forces you to pivot before you feel ready
Why asking for help can be one of the hardest, most necessary moves
How Lisa turned selling things from her house into an actual storefront
Building a business without having every detail figured out first
Why putting yourself out there can create connections you never saw coming
Getting over the fear of being judged, criticized, or seen
The unexpected connection between decluttering your space and letting go of old versions of yourself
Why human connection still matters more than ever in business
Learning to stop obsessing over the entire plan and take the next right step
Lisa’s story is such a reminder that we don’t always need to know exactly where we’re going. Sometimes we just need to be willing to move, pay attention to what’s right in front of us, ask for help when we need it, and trust that one decision can open a door we didn’t even know existed.
If you’re in a season where something needs to change, maybe you don’t need the whole answer yet. Maybe you already know the next move.

What Are You Deciding Today? The Power of Trusting Yourself with Samantha Harper
2026/09/17
What are you deciding today?
That question became the thread running through this entire conversation with one of my dearest friends, Samantha Harper, and this episode went so many places I didn't expect it to go.
Sam is a former trauma-informed therapist with more than 20,000 hours working with clients, an executive and consciousness coach, spiritual mentor, entrepreneur and four-time Best Alternative Wellness Practitioner in Arizona. She works with everyone from entrepreneurs to C-suite executives, but underneath all of it is something incredibly simple: helping people learn how to trust themselves again.
And that's where we started.
Why is trusting yourself so much harder than telling yourself to “trust yourself”? What happens when there's so much outside noise that you can't hear your own intuition anymore? Why do we outsource decisions we already know the answer to? And what changes when we finally stop negotiating with ourselves and DECIDE?
We talk about the small moments of self-trust that build your capacity for the big ones, why investing in your internal growth can feel scarier than spending money on things that change the outside, and why healing doesn't have to wait until your life is falling apart.
Then we get into manifestation, but not the fluffy “think about it and wait for the universe to drop it in your lap” version. Sam breaks down the connection between manifestation, nervous system regulation and neuropsychology, and why becoming capable of holding what you're asking for matters just as much as asking for it.
And somewhere in the middle, this conversation takes a turn into something I personally needed to hear.
We talk about visibility. Using your voice. Being misunderstood. Posting the thing even when you're scared. Allowing yourself to be spicy if you're f*****g spicy. Letting your body of work speak for you instead of constantly trying to prove your credibility.
Sam has recently seen massive growth in her content, and when I asked her what changed, her answer was basically: she stopped caring.
Not because criticism doesn't affect her. Not because she's suddenly fearless. She still gets scared. She still posts something bold and wants to throw her phone across the room. She's simply stopped allowing fear to make the decision for her.
We also talk about playing the long game, building relationships years before they turn into opportunities, doing the free work before you're paid incredibly well for the work, podcasting, pitching yourself, showing up consistently and becoming the same person online, onstage and behind closed doors.
Because your body of work is building something even when you can't see the immediate payoff.
This conversation is spirituality, strategy, healing, visibility, friendship, business and a little bit of us talking shit like we would over coffee because, quite frankly, that's exactly what it felt like recording it.
So before you hit play, here's the question Sam leaves all of us with:
What are you deciding today?
Whatever came up when you read that, maybe it's time to stop waiting for someone else to validate it.

The Long Game Nobody Wants to Talk About
2026/09/03
How bad do you actually want the thing you keep saying you want? Because wanting it and being willing to stay with it when it gets boring, inconvenient, quiet, or uncomfortable are two completely different things.
Join me as I share my thoughts about the part of building something meaningful that nobody really celebrates: the random Tuesdays when nobody’s clapping and you have zero proof that any of it is working.
In this episode, I’m getting into:
Why your first attempt probably won’t work exactly how you imagined, and why that’s actually useful
What 400+ podcast episodes taught me about consistency, authority, and playing the long game
Why you have to let people witness you becoming the person you say you want to be
The difference between starting quickly and building something that lasts
Why visibility requires more than posting content
How constantly consuming information can keep you from trusting yourself and actually creating
Why your coach, mentor, or community can support you, but they can’t want your dream more than you do
Why depth, perspective, and a real body of work matter even more in a world flooded with short-form content and AI
The question I think matters more than “How bad do you want it?”
You do not need to know how the entire thing works out…
You need to be willing to make the next move, put in the reps, let people watch you figure it out, and keep building before there’s undeniable proof that it’s working.
Because you don’t get to episode 400 without recording episode 48 first.

Why Getting In The Right Room Can Change Everything With Bri Norberg
2026/08/27
The right room can change your business, but not because you collected a stack of business cards. It’s the real conversations, genuine relationships, and willingness to actually put yourself in the room that create opportunities you could never plan for.
In this episode, I’m sitting down with Bri Norberg, founder of Powered by Women, to talk about what it actually looks like to build a community where women can connect, grow, and stay in business together.
We get into:
Why surface-level networking isn’t enough to grow a business
What Bri learned from building Powered by Women from small gatherings into a community and large-scale event
Why relationships built on trust naturally lead to business, referrals, collaborations, and opportunities
The law of reciprocity and why supporting people before you need something from them matters
Why getting into rooms can accelerate your personal growth just as much as your business growth
The leadership, resilience, and internal growth required to hold a bigger vision
Why Bri created the community she couldn’t find herself
The new Powered by Women app designed to help women find aligned connections, events, resources, and women-owned businesses
We also talk about Powered by Women LIVE, what makes this event different, and why Bri is so intentional about creating a space where women can actually connect beyond the surface.
If there’s one thing I keep learning over and over again, it’s that we were never meant to build all of this alone. Sometimes your next client, collaborator, best friend, or big idea is sitting in a room you almost talked yourself out of entering.
Powered by Women LIVE
If this conversation made you realize you need to get in the room, come join us at Powered by Women LIVE, happening September 25–27, 2026 at the Sacramento State University Ballroom.
It’s Northern California’s biggest party for women in business. Three days where business gets done and friendships get made, with no boring moments and no surface-level small talk.
Here’s what the weekend looks like:
Day 1 – VIP Night: An intimate kickoff for 50 women with champagne, editorial portraits, and a mastermind experience that sets the tone for the weekend
Day 2 – The Main Event: 300+ women entrepreneurs in one room with keynotes, podcast-style panels, a Vendor Village filled with women-owned businesses, and The Golden Hour to close out the day
Day 3 – Wellness Morning: A group walk, Pilates, wellness pop-ups, and a softer, feel-good landing before everyone heads home
I’ll be there speaking on the Visibility to Sales panel, and I would LOVE to see you in the room.
This is for the woman who’s done going it alone and is ready to be seen, supported, and surrounded by women who actually get it. Whether you’re just starting or you’ve been building for years, this is the kind of room where the right conversation can change everything.

400 Episodes Later, Here's What I Know About Starting Over
2026/08/20
400 episodes.
Almost six years behind this microphone.
And the biggest thing I know now? Starting over does not mean starting from zero.
There is something incredibly humbling about becoming a beginner again when you already know what it feels like to be successful. You’ve built the career. You’ve made the money. You’ve earned the reputation. You know what it feels like to walk into a room and know exactly what the f**k you’re doing.
Then you decide you want something different.
Suddenly you’re comparing chapter one of your new life to chapter twenty of the one you already mastered, wondering why you aren’t better at this yet.
In this milestone episode, I’m talking about what six years and 400 episodes have taught me about starting again, building authority, staying in the game when nobody is clapping yet, and giving your work enough time to actually compound.
Because compounding rarely feels impressive while it’s happening. It feels like recording another episode, posting another piece of content, walking into another room, having another conversation and continuing to show up when you have very little evidence that any of it is working.
Until one day, you look around and realize it did.
This weekend, I got to experience one of those moments.
And it reminded me that consistency doesn’t just build an audience.
Consistency builds options.
If you’re in the middle of a career pivot, building a personal brand, stepping into a new industry, starting a podcast, or wondering whether you’re too late to become known for something new, this episode is for you.
You may be new here.
But you are not new.
Everything you’ve lived comes with you.
400 down. 3,600 to go.
I’ll see you at 4,000.

Why Proximity Changes Everything
2026/08/13
Here's why the Best Investments Rarely Make Sense at First
You've probably heard the phrase, "Your network is your net worth."
But I think it's deeper than that.
Looking back at nearly 400 podcast episodes, every major opportunity in my life can be traced back to one decision: walking into a room I almost didn't.
In this solo episode, I'm reflecting on the mentors, conversations, investments, and relationships that completely changed the trajectory of my life and business.
Because what changed me wasn't another strategy.
It was proximity.
In this episode, I share:
Why almost every breakthrough in my business started with one courageous decision
How mentors helped me see possibilities I couldn't see on my own
Why proximity is often more valuable than information
The investments that felt irresponsible before they became life-changing
The story behind nearly 400 podcast episodes
Why I created House of Influence
The question you should ask yourself before saying "maybe next year"
If you've been waiting until you feel ready to invest in yourself, start your podcast, launch your business, or step into a bigger room...
This is your reminder that confidence usually comes after the decision.
Sometimes the life you're dreaming about is just one room away.

The Dangerous Lie Ambitious Women Believe
2026/08/07
Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and the life you want isn't fear... it's the story you've gotten really good at believing.
In this episode, I sat down with my longtime friend and mentor, Lindsey Marie, for one of the most honest conversations we've ever had about growth, visibility, self-expression, and the sneaky ways we keep ourselves playing small.
In this episode, we talk about:
The difference between fear and what Lindsey calls the "cute quit."
Why feeling restless might actually be your soul asking you to grow.
How community can change the trajectory of your life and business.
What happens when you stop waiting until you're "ready."
Why your first idea doesn't have to be your forever path.
The surprising role style and self-expression play in confidence.
How healing can quietly turn into hiding if you're not paying attention.
Why your biggest breakthrough is usually waiting on the other side of discomfort.
The power of borrowing belief until you fully trust yourself.
If you've been sitting on an idea, waiting for the perfect time, or wondering if you're really meant for more... maybe this is the conversation you've been needing.
Because sometimes the next version of you is just one brave decision away.
Join the Powerhouse Women Event
If this conversation resonated with you, don't let it stop here.
The Powerhouse Women Event is a transformational 3-day experience in Scottsdale, Arizona, where ambitious women from around the world come together to connect, grow, and turn big dreams into action.
Built on the belief that community is at the heart of growth, you'll experience inspiring speakers, meaningful conversations, and the kind of support that reminds you you're not meant to build your life or business alone.

The Success No One Prepares You For
2026/07/30
What if the discomfort you've been feeling isn't a sign you're on the wrong path, but proof you're growing into the life you've been asking for?
In this episode, I share about something we don't hear enough in entrepreneurship IMO: building the capacity to hold more success without letting overwhelm convince us we're failing… I’m sure you can relate.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why bigger opportunities naturally come with bigger emotions
The difference between building more strategy and building more capacity
How business exposes the patterns that are quietly holding you back
Why consistency matters more than chasing the next algorithm or trend
The role community, coaching, and mentorship play when growth gets uncomfortable
How identity work helps you become the person your next level requires
Why confidence isn't something you wait for, it's something you build by showing up
A simple question to ask yourself when overwhelm starts creeping in
Maybe this season isn't asking you to do more. Maybe it's simply asking you to become more. Because the woman who can hold the life she's been praying for isn't built overnight, she's built one brave decision at a time.

Why High-Achieving Women Ignore Themselves: The Hidden Cost of Self-Abandonment
2026/07/23
You've read the books.
You've listened to the podcasts.
You've invested in yourself.
So why do you still feel stuck?
In this episode, I sit down with somatic practitioner Jalena Tesanovich for an honest conversation about nervous system healing, self-abandonment, childhood conditioning, and why lasting transformation starts from within.
Together, we explore why so many high-achieving women learn to override their intuition, ignore what their bodies are trying to tell them, and unknowingly repeat the same patterns in their relationships, businesses, and everyday lives.
In this episode, we discuss:
Why so many successful women stop trusting themselves without even realizing it
How constantly putting yourself last can eventually show up in your body
The connection between childhood experiences, nervous system patterns, and the way we show up as adults
What Somatic Experiencing is—and why it's different from the "nervous system reset" advice all over social media
Why people-pleasing, perfectionism, and over-functioning are often survival strategies
The surprising power of slowing down instead of constantly pushing through
How learning the language of your body can help you make more aligned decisions in every area of your life
If you've been wondering why you keep repeating the same patterns, saying yes when you want to say no, or feeling disconnected from yourself despite doing "all the work," this conversation is going to meet you exactly where you are.
Because the next level of your life isn't built by abandoning yourself one more time.
It's built by finally listening.

Stop Chasing Opportunities. Build a Reputation Instead.
2026/07/16
What if the thing you're chasing isn't actually what you need?
This week, I had one of those moments that completely shifted how I think about personal branding, content, and the opportunities we spend so much time trying to create.
In this episode, I talk about:
Why visibility and trust are not the same thing
The mindset shift that changed how I think about personal branding
Why your reputation matters more than your follower count
How opportunities are built long before they arrive
The difference between making content decisions and reputation decisions
Why collaboration will always outperform competition
The one question I believe every entrepreneur should answer: What do I actually want to become known for?
How building authority creates an "inbound life" where opportunities start finding you
Your reputation isn't built overnight. It's built one conversation, one decision, and one act of consistency at a time. The opportunities you're hoping for may already be on their way, you just have to keep becoming the person they're looking for.

Stop Pitching Yourself, Start Pitching Conversations
2026/07/09
I thought I was recording an episode about podcast pitching.
Instead, it turned into a conversation about something so much bigger.
After thinking through a few ideas that had been coming together for me lately, I realized why so many podcast pitches miss the mark. It's not because people aren't qualified or don't have a great story. It's because they're focused on pitching themselves instead of pitching a conversation.
And honestly, this goes far beyond podcasting.
I see entrepreneurs making this mistake all the time. We spend so much time talking about what we do that we forget to explain why it matters. We lead with the podcast, the book, the coaching program, or the business, when what people really care about is where those things can help them get.
If you're trying to grow your personal brand, get invited onto more podcasts, or create more opportunities for yourself, I think this episode will give you a different way to think about authority and visibility.
In This Episode:
Why most podcast pitches never get a response
The difference between pitching yourself and pitching a conversation
The mistake entrepreneurs make when talking about their work
Why people care more about the outcome than your credentials
Three questions to ask yourself before trying to get more visibility
After you listen, send me a DM on Instagram @thejessicaburgioshow and tell me one podcast you've always wanted to be a guest on. Maybe this is the week you finally hit send.

Building in Public
2026/07/02
What if the thing holding you back isn't your strategy... but the version of yourself you're still trying to protect?
In this episode, I'm sharing one of my most personal conversations yet and the shifts that completely changed the way I think about building a personal brand, showing up online, and creating the life I actually want.
In this episode:
Why your biggest obstacle probably isn't your business
How fear of judgment keeps us playing smaller than we're meant to
The surprising connection between my past and the work I'm doing today
Why your experiences are your greatest advantage, not something to hide
What "building in public" really means
How to stop waiting until you feel more confident, qualified, or ready
The one question I want you to ask yourself before this episode ends
Your past isn't something you're meant to carry forever. It's something you're meant to build from. The moment you stop hiding is the moment everything starts to change.

Sober, Strong, and Starting Over
2026/06/18
Sometimes the life that looks “successful” on paper still feels completely wrong.
In this episode, I’m sitting down with my longtime friend Megan to talk about career pivots, sobriety, strength training, entrepreneurship, and what it actually looks like to walk away from something that’s working… to build something that feels aligned.
We talk about:
Leaving a thriving beauty business behind
• The quiet signs that something isn’t meant for you anymore
• How fitness became part of Megan’s healing journey
• Sobriety, self-worth, and learning to trust yourself again
• Why mentorship and community matter so much during big life shifts
• The reality of starting over when everyone thinks you already “made it”
• Building confidence through consistency, not perfection
• The difference between looking strong and feeling strong
If you’ve been feeling stuck, disconnected, or like life is trying to nudge you in a different direction… this conversation is for you.
Sometimes the scariest pivots end up becoming the most aligned chapters of your life.
The Loneliness That Can Come With Entrepreneurship
2026/06/11
What happens when the life you worked so hard to build no longer feels aligned?
In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Kelly Alhooie to talk about identity shifts, entrepreneurship, intuition, and the terrifying, but necessary, decision to walk away from a life that looked successful on paper.
In this episode, we talk about:
Building a multi 7-figure business from scratch during COVID
The moment Kelly realized success wasn’t enough anymore
Why women struggle to give themselves permission to pivot
The fear of leaving behind money, status, and certainty
Entrepreneurship, loneliness, and finding aligned community
The power of getting in the right rooms
Investing in mentorship before you feel “ready”
How stress, burnout, and misalignment show up physically
Letting go of friendships that no longer fit your growth
Following your intuition even when nobody understands it
This conversation is for the woman who knows deep down she’s meant for more… but is scared to make the leap.
Sometimes the next version of you requires letting go of the version everyone else got comfortable with.
