After high school, he went straight to work in the construction industry where his work ethic fast-tracked him to a role in management where he was responsible for a team and learned how to manage and motivate people. Although he was making a very good living working for someone else he knew it was his destiny to take his work ethic and skill and go into business for himself. Ryan shares how his business has continued to grow because he focused on quality and let his work speak for itself. Today 29-year-old Rich Bustos is on a “Sabbatical” living off the returns of his Real Estate Assets and Investment Portfolio. With passive income as well as a house paid for Rich is living quite the desirable life, however, it wasn't always that way. Rich grew up in the Bay Area and his parents worked blue-collar jobs and instilled in Rich that it's not about how much money you make but what you do with it, this is a concept Rich took to heart. Listen as Rich shares how after he graduated high school while his classmates went on to major universities and moved out Rich stayed at home with his parents and began to work retail jobs living off a budget of $400 a month and investing everything he earned above that into a Stock Portfolio. Eventually Rich got an opportunity to accept an intern position at LinkedIn as a Software Engineer and his income increased substantially but Rich stuck to his budget of $400 a month and continued to invest everything else. Rich shares how despite having more than enough income to provide for his lifestyle he found himself suffering from panic attacks and was prescribed medication from a doctor. On this week's episode of the Millennials and Money Podcast, our guest is a Traveling sales rep with Vector Cutco Marketing JC Miranda. JC grew up in a small town in Central California the son of two entrepreneurs. He learned from a young age that if you want it then you're gonna have to go hustle to get it. In college, JC got an opportunity to take a part-time position with Vector Marketing selling knives, and his first weekend on the job he discovered that he could make more in one weekend with Cutco than he did in two weeks with his full-time job. JC paid his way through college selling knives and after graduating he came to a pivotal point where he decided to continue to work full time in his role at Cutco rather than pursue a career utilizing his degree. JC does not regret his decision the least bit, in his words, he is “blessed” he spends his time at work traveling up and down the West Coast selling Cutco Cutlery at different events and shows (he is currently in a national sales competition at Cutco in which he is ranked number) JC is blessed to spend his free time traveling all over the country with friends, playing sports, and staying fit He says the key to his success at Cutco can be credited to having a good work-life balance and realizing that you get what you work for and to working hard now like most don't so he can live life in the future like most can't.

On this week's episode of Millennials and Money, our guest is US Naval Officer and Nascar stock car driver Jesse Iwuji. Jesse's parents immigrated to the United States from Nigeria and brought with them an intense work ethic and a business owner mentality. Both of Jesse's parents worked full-time jobs and each owned personal businesses on the side. Jesse was a stand-out football player in high school and received a scholarship to The United States Naval Academy. After college Jesse enlisted in the Navy as an officer where he did multiple tours and developed a habit of saving for the things he truly wanted. While in the Navy Jesse developed a love for Nascar, Jesse shares how he saved up enough money from his military tours to buy his own stock car and began to build his brand via social media and promoting racing shows of his own a business owner skill learned from his parents no doubt.
