Description

Have you ever felt stagnant or unfulfilled in your professional life, despite achieving what others would consider "success"? Do you find yourself wondering if there's more to life than the daily grind? Are you looking for guidance and inspiration that speaks directly to your quest for a more purpose-driven and faith-filled life? Hi, I’m Amy Wienands: wife, mom of twins, and the CEO of Amy Wienands Real Estate. I strive to bring you inspiration, revelation and encouragement to walk in the life you were called to walk into because…You Are More. In this weekly podcast, we will explore themes of mindset transformation, finding your true purpose, and integrating faith into everyday life, bringing you expert interviews, inspiring stories, and practical tips.  When I was 49 I had a moment. Here I was a professional success in the high-stakes world of real estate. I had navigated the ups and downs of building a thriving business. I had killed it and yet, I remember feeling… Empty. Frustrated. Stuck on the treadmill of life. I remember thinking, what if I climbed and climbed this ladder only to find it's leaning against the wrong wall? I felt a deep sense of calling to make a positive impact in the world but was unsure of where to start.  I have seen the faithfulness of God in every season. Through my own experience of feeling unfulfilled and called to a bigger purpose, I discovered the transformative power of mindset, purpose, and faith. This revelation changed my approach to life and success, leading me to start this podcast. Now, I want to share the insights, stories, and guidance I've gathered with you. If you're looking to build a life that not only succeeds on the surface but is also rich with purpose and guided by faith, You Are More is where you'll find it. Whether you're a professional seeking more than just success, a dreamer chasing a deeper meaning, or anyone in between, this podcast is here to guide you towards building a life that truly wins.

The Life You Want Is on the Other Side of a Hard Conversation
2026/10/29
What if the change you’ve been asking for is sitting on the other side of one conversation you’ve been afraid to have? I’ve been thinking a lot about that lately because this year I’ve had some conversations that, in the past, I probably would have avoided. I would have told myself it was fine, kept carrying the pressure, and hoped things would somehow work themselves out. But I’ve learned that sometimes it only takes a few seconds of radical courage to move your life forward. In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, I’m talking about the hard conversations we avoid, why we avoid them, and what can happen when we finally get honest enough to say, “This doesn’t work for me anymore.” Maybe it’s a relationship. Maybe it’s something in your marriage, your work, your leadership, your family, or even a responsibility you’ve been carrying for years that no longer fits the season you’re in. We can spend so much time dancing around what we already know because we don’t want to disappoint someone, hurt someone’s feelings, create tension, or step into uncertainty. But there comes a point where avoiding the conversation costs more than having it. And I want you to hear this: all change can initially feel like loss. You can feel sadness and liberation at the same time. You can be nervous and still know you’re doing the right thing. You can have no idea what the road ahead looks like and still know you cannot keep living the same way you’ve been living. I’m also sharing the process I use when I know something needs to change: get quiet, get honest about what I really want, own my part in the situation, have the conversation, and then take one small celebratory action afterward. Because you only get one life. You don’t want to keep pushing your future down the road because you were too afraid to say the thing that needed to be said. If you need courage for a conversation right now, I hope this episode reminds you that God will meet you in it. Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom. Ask Him for the right words. Then take the step. Your next season may be on the other side of that conversation. You truly are more. ✨ Join me every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM Central for my 30-minute Zoom Bible study. Your Thoughts Are Always Working: Train Your Mind to Win
2026/10/22
What are you saying to yourself all day long? I think sometimes we act like our thoughts are harmless because nobody else can hear them. But the truth is, those thoughts are shaping the way we feel, the way we respond, and the way we move through our lives. In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, I’m talking about how powerful your thought life really is—and why you have to become an active participant in it. I recently read about a study that focused on what happened when people intentionally changed the way they spoke to their own bodies. It immediately made me think about something the Bible has been telling us all along: take your thoughts captive, renew your mind, and think on what is true, lovely, and pure. Because thoughts don’t just float through your mind and disappear. They can take root. And once a thought takes root, it can start affecting your emotions, your actions, your confidence, your peace, and the way you see your future. You may not be able to stop every thought from appearing, but you can stop it from becoming the thought you rehearse all day long. That’s why I’m giving you a simple process in this episode: recognize it, replace it, give thanks, then act differently. Maybe fear has been telling you something is going to go wrong. Maybe your finances have you thinking, “I’m never going to get ahead.” Maybe you’ve dealt with a health challenge and every symptom sends you into a spiral. Maybe the thought is, “I’m too old. I missed my moment. My best days are already behind me.” Those thoughts do not have to become your truth. You can recognize the thought and replace it with what God says. If fear comes up, remind yourself that God has not given you a spirit of fear. If lack starts crowding your mind, remind yourself that God is your provider. If you begin thinking your best days are over, remind yourself that your latter days can be greater than your former days. Your best days are ahead of you. They are not behind you. I’m also talking about why gratitude is such an important part of changing your mental and emotional state. Sometimes circumstances haven’t changed yet, but you can still stop and say, “Lord, thank You that You’re working on my behalf. Thank You for my life. Thank You for breath in my body. Thank You that this didn’t catch You off guard.” You don’t have to pretend everything is perfect. You simply stop allowing fear to control the atmosphere you make decisions from. And sometimes you need to physically interrupt the spiral too. Go outside. Take a walk. Take some deep breaths. Shift your body. Do something that helps you break the cycle instead of sitting there allowing the same thought to run through your mind over and over again. The biggest thing I want you to remember is this: one thought can derail an entire plan. One thought can convince you to sit down when you were supposed to move. One thought can convince you that something is impossible. One thought can convince you that your moment has passed. So guard your thoughts. Build an arsenal of truth. Write down the scriptures and promises you need to come back to when fear, anxiety, lack, or insecurity starts whispering to you. And then speak them. Because how you think affects how you speak. How you speak affects how you feel. And how you feel affects how you act. Your thoughts are always working. They are either working for you or against you. So choose wisely. Dream big. Believe big. Know that God is for you. You are made for more. You truly are more. ✨ Join me every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM Central for my 30-minute Zoom Bible study. Finish 2026 Strong! How to Make the Rest of This Year Count
2026/10/15
What would it take for you to get to the end of this year and honestly say, “That was an incredible year”? I want you to really think about that because we’re at the point where a lot of people start mentally checking out. We look at what hasn’t happened, decide there isn’t enough time left, and tell ourselves we’ll start fresh in January. I don’t want you to do that. You still have time. In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, I’m talking about something I want you to carry with you through the rest of this year: Movement is medicine. Small, consistent steps create big outcomes. You don’t have to change your entire life overnight, but you do need to start moving. Maybe that means taking a 10-minute walk after dinner. Maybe it means making the phone calls you’ve been avoiding. Maybe it means changing something in your finances, your career, your relationships, your health, or your calling. The question is: What does movement look like for you? I’m also talking about what happens when we keep doing the same things and wondering why nothing changes. I recently realized I had been having basically the same conversation with my husband for a year and a half, and eventually I had to admit that if I wanted a different result, I needed to do something differently. Sometimes we have to break the Groundhog Day cycle. In this episode, I share a morning when I had barely slept, my alarm went off at 5:00, and everything in me wanted to stay in bed. Instead of thinking about the whole workout, I told myself to put one foot on the ground. One step. Then another. That morning reminded me that confidence gets built in those small moments when you honor the commitments you make to yourself. I’m also talking about why one bad choice doesn’t need to become a bad day. One meal off your plan doesn’t mean the rest of the day is ruined. One setback doesn’t mean you wait until Monday to start again. Just get back into movement. If you don’t want the same life, eventually you have to move into some areas that scare you. You have to make the call, take the risk, have the conversation, or make the decision. Your future self will thank you for the things you’re willing to do today. And when everything around you feels uncertain, come back to what you can control. You can control your actions. You can control your attitude. You can control your response. You can control whether or not you take the next step. I’m also sharing why I believe we have to train our brains to look for wins. What you think about, you bring about, and what you look for, you will find. If you constantly look for rejection, difficulty, and everything going wrong, you’ll find plenty of evidence. But you can train yourself to look for what is good too. So here’s my challenge: Move your health forward. Move your finances forward. Move your relationships forward. Move your calling forward. You don’t have to do everything today. Just move. Faith is an action. Movement is faith. Let’s get to the end of this year and be able to say, Look what the Lord has done. I went for it. I took the risk. I did the thing. You were not created to play small. Keep moving. Dream big. Go big. ✨ Join me every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM Central for my 30-minute Zoom Bible study. God Goes With the Goers: Stop Overthinking and Move
2026/10/08
Have you ever known on the inside that you were supposed to do something, but instead of doing it, you started talking about it, overthinking it, making a pros-and-cons list, and asking everybody else what they thought? I’ve done that too. But when I look back at some of the biggest breakthroughs in my life, so many of them started the same way: I had the thought, I trusted it, and I moved. In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, I’m talking about learning to trust those inner promptings and why overthinking can sometimes cost you the very opportunity God is trying to lead you into. I share the story of being brand new in real estate, driving past a billboard, and suddenly thinking, I’m supposed to be on that billboard. I had never seen another realtor on one. I hadn’t been brainstorming marketing ideas. I simply had the thought and made the call. That one decision turned into an opportunity that has served me for decades. I’m also sharing a recent story from a rainy morning walk when I spontaneously asked my husband to take a photo of me. I posted it without overediting, overthinking, or trying to make everything perfect—and it ended up getting far more traction than so much of the content I had carefully planned and polished. It reminded me of something I’ve seen over and over again: Sometimes the breakthrough is in simply doing what you know to do before you can talk yourself out of it. If you’ve accepted Jesus, I believe you carry the divine genius of God on the inside of you. You can ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom. You can learn to recognize those promptings. And you can build a track record of trusting that inner knowing. In this episode, I’m talking about how to create space to hear God, why I’ve received so much direction during my morning walks, how overconsulting other people can cloud what once felt clear, and why timing matters when you feel prompted to move. I also share the moment I felt I needed to go look at a building—even though I wasn’t planning to buy one. Within hours, I was making an offer. Had I waited, that opportunity could have been gone. Sometimes you don’t get the full explanation first. Sometimes the instruction is simply: Make the call. Take the step. Go to the event. Post the thing. Move. Then the understanding comes later. So ask yourself: What have I already felt prompted to do that I’m still sitting around thinking about? You don’t need everybody else to understand the assignment God gave you. Get quiet. Listen. Trust the prompting. And when you know it’s time to move, move. God goes with the goers. ✨ Join me every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM Central for my 30-minute Zoom Bible study. Opportunities Almost Always Come Disguised as Problems
2026/10/01
What if the problem in front of you is actually hiding an opportunity you haven’t seen yet? I’ve been thinking a lot about how we see things because the way you see a situation can completely change how you respond to it. We’re living in a time where there is so much uncertainty. AI is changing industries, markets are shifting, businesses are adjusting, and it would be really easy to look around and see nothing but problems. But here’s what I believe: opportunities almost always come disguised as problems. In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, I’m talking about the story of the twelve spies and something that has been challenging me personally. Twelve people looked at the exact same Promised Land. They saw the same giants, the same obstacles, and the same circumstances. Ten came back convinced they couldn’t do it. Two looked at those same giants and said, “We are well able. Let’s go possess.” That’s the difference perspective can make. Faith doesn’t mean pretending the giant isn’t there. It means refusing to make the giant bigger than God. I’m also sharing something that happened to me recently when I found myself talking about everything that felt hard—the uphill battles, the weariness, the things that weren’t moving the way I wanted them to. Sometimes you need to get those things out, but I also knew I couldn’t stay there. If all I rehearse are problems, eventually problems are all I’m going to see. So I had to ask myself: How am I seeing this? Maybe that’s the question you need to ask too. When you don’t know what to do, ask God for wisdom. When you’re sitting in the boardroom and the answers aren’t coming, ask Him. When the relationship feels tangled, ask Him. When the circumstances in front of you say there is no way, remember that you carry the divine genius of God on the inside of you. You do not have to figure everything out in your own strength. And when you start questioning whether you can move forward, go back and rehearse your victories. One of my dear friends used to tell me, “Amy, you and God have a good track record.” Maybe you need to remind yourself of your own track record with Him. Remember the door He opened. Remember the provision. Remember the thing you thought would never work out. Remember the season you weren’t sure you would survive. Then take another step. When the Israelites were standing at the Red Sea with Pharaoh behind them, mountains around them, and water in front of them, God told them to go forward. Sometimes you don’t need to see the entire path. You just need to move. In this episode, I’m also talking about why your perspective affects your words, your emotions, and ultimately your actions; how fear can sometimes disguise itself as wisdom; why timing and seasons matter; what Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego teach us about walking through the fire; and why sometimes you simply need to get your fight back. I think about David standing in front of Goliath. Everyone else saw an impossible problem. David remembered the lion. He remembered the bear. He remembered what God had already brought him through. He had history. And so do you. If you’ve been weary, uncertain, or beaten down by what’s happening around you, I want this episode to help you get your “God’s got me” back. God is not caught off guard by what you’re facing. He has already gone before you. You don’t have to navigate this season alone. So ask yourself: How am I seeing it? Am I only seeing the problem, or am I looking for the possibility? Am I staring at the giant, or am I remembering who is with me? Sometimes the opportunity has been hiding inside the problem the entire time. Keep moving. Keep believing. Keep walking. ✨ Join me every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM Central for my 30-minute Zoom Bible study. You can find the link on my socials or at YouAreMore.com. Delayed Doesn’t Mean Denied: You’re Favored — Trusting God’s Timing
2026/09/24
What do you do when you know God has favor on your life—but your circumstances don’t feel very favored? Maybe the dream feels delayed. Maybe the door hasn’t opened. Maybe you’ve been faithful, consistent, and obedient, but nothing seems to be moving. In this solo episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy Wienands uses the story of Joseph to remind you that favor doesn’t always look like favor while you’re walking through the process. Joseph had a dream and a calling on his life, yet his path included betrayal, a pit, slavery, false accusation, prison, and years of waiting. And still, God was with him. Amy talks about what happens when the thing you believe God promised feels delayed—and how seasons of waiting can test your consistency, obedience, faith, and willingness to keep showing up. Sometimes the delay isn't evidence that you've missed it. Sometimes it's simply a matter of timing. Amy shares the picture of sitting on an airplane that was completely prepared for takeoff. The plane was fueled. The passengers were seated. Every check was complete. But it still couldn't take off until the airspace was clear. Sometimes your life looks exactly like that. You're prepared. You're doing the work. You're ready. But the timing hasn't aligned yet. Don't let discouragement convince you to quit while you're sitting on the runway. In this episode, Amy also talks about: Why testing can accompany your callingHow to encourage yourself when nothing seems to be movingRemembering the track record you have with GodWhy God's process doesn't always look like the world's version of successPraying for “destiny helpers”Trusting that your steps are orderedWhy the favor you carry should make a difference wherever you goHow God can use even painful seasons for something bigger than youJoseph eventually went from the pit to the palace, but the process between the dream and its fulfillment mattered. And yours does too. Maybe you've been wondering whether you're too late. Maybe you've thought, If it were going to happen for me, it would have happened already. Amy's encouragement is simple: You haven't missed your moment. You may be being prepared. You may be being positioned. You may simply be waiting for the right timing. And favor doesn't mean you'll never walk through a storm. Sometimes favor means God is covering you right in the middle of it. As long as you have breath in your body, you still have purpose to serve. Keep moving. Keep believing. Keep preparing. Keep reminding yourself of God's faithfulness. You are favored—even when it doesn't feel like it. 🎧 Subscribe to The You Are More Podcast for weekly encouragement around faith, purpose, growth, leadership, mindset, and becoming everything God created you to be. ✨ Join Amy every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM Central for her weekly Zoom Bible study. Outgrowing the Old You: You Don’t Need Everyone to Understand
2026/09/17
Have you ever felt like you needed everyone around you to understand why you're changing? Why you're saying no. Why you're pulling back. Why you're starting something new. Why something that once fit your life suddenly doesn't fit anymore. In this solo episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy Wienands talks about what happens when you begin outgrowing the old version of yourself—and why you don't need everyone around you to understand your growth. Sometimes the hardest seasons to leave aren't the obviously bad ones. Nothing is necessarily wrong. Something simply doesn't feel right anymore. You may have outgrown the role, the expectation, the commitment, or even the identity you've been carrying. Amy talks about how people often build expectations around the version of you they've always known: the one who always says yes, fixes everything, carries the load, answers every call, and keeps everyone happy. Then you change. And suddenly your growth changes their access to you. That can create guilt, especially if you're used to being the one everyone depends on. But Amy reminds us: You can love people and still disappoint them. You can be generous and still have boundaries. You can be kind and still say no. This episode also dives into why we over-explain our decisions. Sometimes we're not actually explaining—we're hoping the other person will give us permission to move forward. But there are seasons when you simply have to say: “This is the decision I believe is right for this season.” You don't have to become angry, defensive, or cold. You can simply become settled. Peace doesn't mean everyone agrees with you. Amy also challenges you to ask where you're staying stuck because you're afraid someone won't understand. Maybe they'll say you've changed. Maybe they're right. You're supposed to grow. You're supposed to evolve. You're supposed to become. Change can be uncomfortable, even when it's good. Every season shift can initially feel like loss. But holding onto an old season simply because it's familiar can keep you from stepping into what God is doing next. So ask yourself: Is what I'm currently giving my time, energy, and effort to aligned with who I'm becoming and where I believe God is leading me? At the end of the day, you're not responsible for everyone's opinion of your life. You're responsible for what you do with your one life. Sometimes becoming who God wants you to be means being misunderstood. You don't need everyone's permission. You don't need everyone's approval. And you definitely don't need everyone to understand. 3 Things You Need to Stop Doing to Reach Your Goals This Year
2026/09/10
You still have time. If you're looking at the goals you set for this year and thinking, “I really thought I'd be further along by now,” don't write the year off yet. In this solo episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy Wienands shares three things you need to stop doing if you want to reach your goals before the end of the year. The first? Stop waiting until you feel ready. Some of the most meaningful things you'll ever do will require you to move before you feel completely prepared. Confidence doesn't always come before action. More often, confidence comes because you took action. You learn by moving. You grow by becoming a beginner. You figure it out along the way. Second, stop negotiating with yourself. Amy explains how we make decisions in strong moments and then renegotiate those decisions when we're tired, uncomfortable, distracted, or tempted by something easier. But every time you keep a promise to yourself, you're building something much bigger than the result—you're building trust with yourself. And third, stop measuring your progress by how far you still have to go. Big goals can make you feel like you're failing when you're actually making incredible progress. Instead, focus on micro commitments. Create measurable daily wins. Let days compound. And don't forget to look at what you've survived, what you've learned, what you've stopped tolerating, and who you're becoming along the way. Amy also talks about why resistance isn't necessarily a sign that you're on the wrong path. Resistance builds muscle. Delay can build perseverance. Growth creates tension because you're becoming someone capable of carrying what comes next. And if this year hasn't gone according to plan, remember: You don't need January 1. You don't need a new planner. You don't need another vision board. You need a decision. Instead of asking, “Can I still accomplish my goals this year?” ask yourself: “Who would I have to become over the next four months to accomplish them?” Then become that person. 🎧 Subscribe to The You Are More Podcast for weekly conversations about faith, purpose, mindset, growth, leadership, and becoming everything God created you to be. ✨ Join Amy every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM Central for the 30-minute 6:00 AM Bible Study Club. Fourth Quarter Energy: How to Finish the Year Strong
2026/09/03
Are you going through the motions—or are you bringing fourth quarter energy to your life? In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy challenges you to stop sitting on the sidelines, stop waiting until you feel ready, and make this next season count. Maybe you're not as far along as you thought you'd be. Maybe this year hasn't gone according to plan. Maybe fear, disappointment, procrastination, or broken commitments have taken some of your momentum. You're not finished. Fourth quarter energy means deciding that regardless of where you are today, you're going to bring your focus, attention, discipline, and effort to what happens next.  Amy shares why you sometimes have to do it scared, why avoiding difficult things can weaken your confidence, and how keeping even small commitments to yourself begins creating a history of trust and confidence.  She also talks about the importance of becoming your own best cheerleader. Stop waiting for somebody else to remind you that you're capable. Speak life over yourself. Remind yourself that you're favored, blessed, equipped, and carrying the wisdom of God into whatever room you're walking into.  And be careful who you share your dreams with. You don't need everyone to understand what God has placed in your heart. You need a sacred few faith friends who can believe with you, pray with you, and remind you who you are when disappointment comes.  Amy's challenge for you is simple: Do one hard thing today. Make the call. Set the appointment. Have the conversation. Take the walk. Start the project. Take one tiny action toward the thing you know you're supposed to do. Then do it again tomorrow. Because when you repeatedly do the hard thing, the hard thing becomes easier—and you build a history of confidence that reminds you that you're well able.  Get in the game. Go all in. Make this next season count. Your best days are ahead of you. 🎧 Subscribe to The You Are More Podcast for more conversations about faith, purpose, mindset, leadership, and becoming everything God created you to be. Stop Forcing It: How to Let God Lead Your Life & Business with Stefanie Gass
2026/08/27
What happens when you've built the success you thought you wanted—but God starts asking you to build something completely different? In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy sits down with entrepreneur, business coach, and God-Led Business host Stefanie Gass for a powerful conversation about success, surrender, faith, burnout, business, and learning to follow God's direction when His plan looks nothing like yours. Stefanie shares how she reached the top 1% of a network marketing company while privately struggling with anxiety, drinking, and putting her family second. When the business she'd built began disappearing, she found herself crying out to God and asking what came next. Then, in 2018, Stefanie had a dream with a simple message: “Start a podcast.” She barely knew anything about podcasting—but she obeyed. At the same time, she stepped away from social media, despite it being one of her only sources of clients. One year later, her business had returned to six figures exclusively through her podcast. Today, she's approaching 1,000 episodes and leads a multi-seven-figure company. Amy and Stefanie talk about how to stop striving and start surrendering, finding clarity when you don't know what's next, separating your identity from achievement, moving through fear, resisting shiny-object syndrome, staying in your lane, building a business around what people actually need, and trusting God enough to take the next step without knowing the entire plan. Stefanie also shares why she believes long-form content is so powerful, how she approaches podcasting and YouTube, and why entrepreneurs shouldn't automatically chase every new platform or strategy. Sometimes you don't need the entire plan. You just need the next step. Stop forcing the outcome. Stop looking sideways. Get quiet, listen, and allow God to lead. 🎧 Subscribe to The You Are More Podcast for more conversations about faith, purpose, mindset, leadership, and becoming who you were created to be. How to Stop Overthinking: 3 Steps to Take Back Control of Your Mind
2026/08/20
Are you constantly overthinking conversations, decisions, relationships, or everything that could go wrong? In this episode of The You Are More Podcast, Amy shares a simple three-step framework for breaking the cycle of overthinking and taking back control of your thoughts: Catch it. Challenge it. Change it. Just because a thought enters your mind doesn't mean it's true. But when you continually rehearse fear, anxiety, rejection, or worst-case scenarios, those thoughts can begin shaping your emotions, decisions, and ultimately your future. Amy walks you through how to identify the thoughts keeping you stuck, challenge the assumptions behind them, and replace them with God's truth. She also explains why changing your thinking isn't enough—you have to move. Sometimes one phone call, one conversation, or one small action step is enough to break the cycle and create new clarity. In this episode, you'll learn how to recognize negative thought patterns, challenge fear and worst-case thinking, replace anxious thoughts with Biblical truth, stop allowing feelings to dictate your future, speak God's Word over your circumstances, and use action to break out of overthinking. Remember this: Don't let a thought that isn't true determine a future that hasn't happened yet. Catch it. Challenge it. Change it. Move. Movement creates momentum. How to Build the Life You Actually Want
2026/08/11
What do you actually want your life to look like—and are your daily choices taking you there? In this episode of You Are More, Amy shares why clarity is one of the most powerful tools for creating the life you're called to live. Instead of allowing weeks, months, and years to pass while reacting to whatever life puts in front of you, it's time to get intentional about where you're going. Amy walks through how to start with the end in mind, write a clear vision, turn big dreams into measurable goals, and break those goals into small daily commitments you can actually keep. Because your daily habits determine your future. In this episode, you'll learn how to get clear about what you really want, stop living reactively, create measurable goals, use small daily habits to build confidence, train your mind to recognize opportunities aligned with your vision, and stack consistent wins that move you toward your future. You don't need to transform your entire life today. You need to know where you're going—and take the next small step toward it. Write the vision. Make it plain. Stack the wins. Stepping Out in Fear: Trusting God Beyond Your Comfort Zone with David Knapp
2026/08/05
What happens when God calls you to leave a comfortable life before showing you exactly where He is leading? In this episode of You Are More, I sit down with David Knapp, creator and host of On the Pen, for an honest conversation about fear, faith, purpose, and trusting God with an uncertain outcome. David’s journey began after he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and started taking Mounjaro. Wanting to understand the medication, he immersed himself in scientific literature, FDA documents, and emerging research about GLP-1 medications. When he realized few people were translating that complicated information into language patients could understand, he began sharing what he was learning. At the time, David was selling traffic signals and creating videos wherever he could—including inside his Ford Flex. Today, On the Pen is a top-rated podcast, and David has become one of the country’s leading independent voices and patient advocates in the GLP-1 space. But this conversation is about so much more than David’s professional success. We talk about the limiting belief that nearly kept him in a comfortable career, the moment he knew it was time to take a leap of faith, and how God used every part of his previous season to prepare him for what came next. David also shares what happened when he unexpectedly needed approximately $40,000 to close on a new studio—just as his largest podcast sponsor backed out. His wife and four children gathered around him to pray, and within 24 hours, every dollar they needed had been provided. This is a powerful reminder that experiencing fear does not mean we lack faith. Fear is an emotion, but cowardice is allowing fear to keep us from doing what God has asked us to do. Your fear may come with you, but it does not get to lead you. If you feel God calling you out of your comfort zone, this conversation will encourage you to remember His past faithfulness, pray bigger, take the next step, and trust Him with the outcome. In this episode, we discuss: • David’s journey from Type 2 diabetes to GLP-1 advocacy • How On the Pen became a trusted podcast and platform • Leaving a comfortable career to follow God’s calling • The difference between fear and cowardice • Why resistance is not always a sign to stop • Trusting God through financial and business uncertainty • The family prayer that preceded a $40,000 breakthrough • Teaching the next generation to pray big • Remembering God’s faithfulness when facing a new giant • Believing that God is truly who He says He is • Using influence and opportunity for Kingdom impact Connect With Us: Website: https://www.youaremore.com Join The 6AM Club Bible Study! Train Your Mind to Win: Don't Let Your Circumstances Define You
2026/07/30
Have you ever trained for something important? Whether it's running a marathon, preparing for a race, or learning a new skill, we all understand that success requires preparation. No one expects to show up on race day without training and perform at their best. But what if the area we neglect to train the most is the one that determines the direction of our entire life—our mind? In this episode of You Are More, I share why one of the greatest disciplines you can develop isn't physical—it's mental. If you don't intentionally train your mind, your circumstances will do it for you. Life will constantly hand you fear, disappointment, comparison, lack, and setbacks. The question is: will you allow those experiences to shape your identity, or will you choose to renew your mind with God's truth instead? Everything rises and falls on identity. The way you see yourself determines the way you interpret your circumstances. If you see yourself through the lens of fear, comparison, or victimhood, every challenge will reinforce those beliefs. But when you know whose you are—a child of God—you begin responding differently. Instead of seeing obstacles, you begin seeing opportunities. Instead of believing you're defeated, you remember that God is working all things together for your good. I also share practical ways I train my own mind every morning. It starts with gratitude, speaking God's promises over my life, and intentionally reminding myself of who I am before the world has a chance to tell me otherwise. Those daily habits don't just change your thoughts—they change the direction of your life. What you continually think about, you reinforce, and what you reinforce eventually becomes the lens through which you see everything. If you've been feeling discouraged, overwhelmed, or stuck in negative thinking, this episode is your reminder that you don't have to let your circumstances write your story. You can choose a different lens. You can train your mind for victory. Every day is an opportunity to renew your thinking, strengthen your faith, and step into the purpose God created you for.
