Welcome to Season 4! I am excited to be back with new episodes! Guys, I will be bringing to you a fresh perspective on the topic of BEAUTY! I found freedom in exposing my weaknesses, as my husband would say! I found freedom in challenging and unlearning what I thought beauty was. In this journey, that never ends but continually evolves, there are key people who have played a fundamental role in helping me towards acceptance. Recorded back in June 2022 but brought to you all in 2023. Finding my feet in adulthood and married life - boy! I am learning to still have my hobbies, me time and platforms that make me smile, like the Cristina's talk show. So many people have encouraged me to come back, which has been lovely. Episode 3. Hi family- I have a new guest for you all today, my big bro. Cristina’s talk show has been a pleasure and a hobby over the last year. It has been a chance to reflect and break bread with people and my family members. In the episode today, I bring to you a spin on teaching our children our mother tongue. I think knowing our mother tongue is such a beautiful advantage and as my bro said, teaching it to our children is a way of giving them a lifetime gift. As you listen to the episode, I am sure that you will pick up on how simple teaching our language to our children can be when we are intentionally and consistently putting a structure in place. As a Nigerian daughter, I believe this season would be incomplete without exploring the topic of culture. I had the pleasure of sitting down with mum again and asking her what culture means to her and why is so important to her. In the episode I ask mum: "What can parents do to help their children fall in love with their roots and heritage?" Take a listen and let me know what you think!
