What’s behind male aggression, with psychotherapist Geoffrey Price
2026/09/23
In this episode of Psych for Life, I chat with psychotherapist Geoffrey Price about what's really behind male aggression. Geoffrey has 40 years clinical experience as a psychotherapist for men and couples, and is executive coach to CEOs around the world. He is a co-founder and senior facilitator of Pathways to Manhood, a wilderness rites of passage program to lead boys to healthy manhood.
Geoffrey has written a psychological thriller titled True Wild Light, offering readers a captivating glimpse into themselves through the hidden worlds of therapy and coaching. The novel explores the invisible bars that underlie the making of men. One of its themes is one of Australia’s most confronting and misunderstood issues: domestic violence, male anger and the hidden psychological forces that really drive it. It is written to ignite our capacity to uncover the secrets hidden within ourselves.
His other books include the bestseller Puberty Boy, which has sold over 80,000 copies; Licking Honey from the Razor’s Edge – the questions a man must ask himself to thrive and take life on; he is also the host of the podcast ‘Stories from the Razor’s Edge’.

Parenting in the age of professionalising parenting, with Family Therapist, Dr. Jenny Brown
2026/07/22
In the latest episode of Psych for Life, I chat with Dr Jenny Brown about how the over-professionalisation of parenting is eroding parents' trust in their own instincts and increasing anxiety, guilt and burnout.
Dr. Jenny Brown is a family therapist, founder of the Parent Hope Project and host of the Parent Hope Podcast. She's also a mum and a grandma. Her work helps parents ditch the guilt and stop trying to get it all 'right'. Her approach explains that parents aren’t doing it wrong, but good parents are often doing too much of the right thing, fuelled by cultural anxiety and messaging.
Jenny’s dedication is encapsulated in her recent book, “Facilitating Parents’ Agency in Child and Adolescent Mental Health: Helplessness to Hope,” and her best-selling book “Growing Yourself Up.” Her upcoming book for parents is “The Parenting Paradox: Loving our children by giving them space to grow.” Published by Bloomsbury. As the founder and Director Emeritus of the Family Systems Institute in Sydney, Jenny has made significant contributions to family therapy, earning recognition and awards for her work in Australia and the USA.
Listen in to our chat on -
