Today we talk all about mental health with a friend of mine, Eddie Briggs. Eddie has had a lot of traumas in his life which he wants to share now and pass on his experience of dealing with situations. In the last few years Eddie has found a love for the sport of boxing. Something which gives him a focus and being around like minded people really helps him. He also volunteers and coaches some of the kids down the gym which he loves. Hope you all enjoy this episode. Today we discuss dyslexia within nursing with school teacher Sam Fitzpatrick. Dyslexia is something that 1 in 10 people in the UK suffer from. I personally didn't have the best experience when I was at school but that was 15 years ago so it'll be interesting to see how things have moved on. Today I had the pleasure of talking to our chief nursing officer of England Ruth May about dyslexia within nursing. Both me and Ruth are dyslexic so it certainly sparked up some really good discussions about our experiences with living with dyslexia. We talk about going forward what can be done to support staff with dyslexia in the workforce and also raising more awareness within nursing. Would love to hear any feedback on this.
