Description

Join my on my journey to recovery. I've spent a majority of my life catering to others (Primarily women), scared to speak up for myself, and being in one failed relationship after another. I'll talk about how I've learned to set boundaries, forgive myself and others, solve problems, and allow others that solve their own problems. This is a story of redemption. Friends, how many of us have them?
2026/01/19
The theme of this episode came from an 80's hip hop/rap group, Houdini, and I thought it would bring back some nostalgia. The title is appropriate for today's podcast. Many of the people mentioned in the podcast dhe person that I am today. They kept me out of trouble and took pity on a young boy who had very little self-esteem.
Why am I in trouble?
2026/01/14
When I was a child andheard my name called in a specific way, I had the feeling that I was in trouble. I felt this way for the longest time, even when I didn't have a reason to be. Now as an adult, I'm tapping into why I get those scared and insecure feelings whenever my name is called.
Lovely senorita

today's episode is about how I Fall In Love quickly only to regret later on. I one time while I was in high school met up with a new girl, and asked her out to lunch numerous times. she broke down and said yes. let's just say our time having lunch together wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
Past problems
2025/11/05
This episode talks about how I became a codependent love addict. Helen was an alcoholic who was angry at herself for getting pregnant by a man who had no desire to take care of a child. As I got older, I became a punching bag for Helen's regrets. The more I sought her approval, the angrier she became. Lots of abandonment issues soon developed. When Helen died in 1986, I transferred my codependency to other relationships. I've been working on healing my codependency with the help of Dr. Robert Glover (No more Mr. nice guy), and others.
Shout out!!
2025/08/14
Today's episode is about gratitude, and how things can just happen out of nowhere. today's shout out goes to a loyal fan named Michelle. Michelle emailed me recently to let me know how much she enjoys listening to my podcast. Michelle took things one step further by joining me in a 12-step meeting that I go to on a regular basis. Being able to meet someone who listens to my podcast meant a lot to me. Thank you Michelle!
Reparenting myself
2024/01/07
Today's episode focuses on how I am learning to re-parent it myself. It's been a long journey, but with persistence, I've been able to make a lot of improvements.
Visions and goals for 2024
2024/01/02
Welcome to another year! What are your goals and visions for the new year?
My first crush!
2023/11/20
The time is the early 70's. I'll lose my best friend to the military, but find another friend through a neighbor.
Beginning of the end.
2023/11/07
Every end has a beginning. I'll talk about how the death of my mother (Helen) started the road to recovery.
What my recovery looks like.
2023/06/22
My recovery changes week to week. But the one thing that is a constant is that I'm aware of my recovery. My recovery is on 24 hours a day. In this current episode, I talked about my recovery, and how it's affecting me currently.
Dating as a love addict
2023/04/09
Overtime I've had some messed up relationships. A majority of what I've learned I've learned through mass media, and friends. I'm finally in a relationship that has some substance, and I'm going to be discussing that in this episode.
Things happen when you have Covid
2022/07/01
The month of June was busy, and I apologize for not having an episode. Last week I contracted Covid, and it almost sent me on a tailspin. Luckily my mind recovered, and has me on the path to good health.
A month of reflection.
2022/05/15
A lot can happen in 30 days. During the time between my last podcast and today, My girlfriend had to put her dog down, and the companion dog lost it's eyesight and may need to be put down as well. in between this, my best friend's dad passed away. At some point, I needed to take time to reflect not only on others, but with myself. reflection can be powerful and positive enlightenment tools if used properly.
Dealing with mental health issues.
2022/04/04
I'm so sorry that I left a lot of you hanging. I've had a lot going on the past few weeks. I helped out my daughter with some mental health issues, and it made me realize that I hadn't touched on things that have affected me recently. In a previous podcast I talked about how sometimes people who have had issues, affects the people that we become. This episode I'll talk about how my daughter had a mental health issue and how I helped her through it.
We all have a story.
2022/03/14
Before going to 12 step programs I thought that my story was unique and I was the only person who had things that happened to them. Once I started going to 12 step programs, I realized that other people have the same story as I did.
