This episode is personal and self indulgent. It's about why this podcast has been off the air for 2 years and why it's coming back, what's it's mission, how it's different but the same?! I talk about Art(of course), the need to fight the far right today, whats wrong with the left and some personal crises and I start to ask a question about my own humanity type and why I think we all need to listen to oursleves and tell the truth as best we can The rest of the series won't be like this episode. We interview Jonas Langer, a key person in the coordination of Solidarity Park and Outaspace podcast talks about his music work and his numerous creative and technical contributions to the two projects. We talk about the new generations' access to historical memory and why we need to nurture that to aid the struggle against the far right today.

We speak to Jazz drummer and composer Joey van Leeuwen from the USA who performed for Solidarity Park festival 2021. We investigate creating music, its processes and comparisons to political thought, how tradition and living in the moment are critical to both. In the process we talk about Jazz, historical memory, Marxism and the role of artists in the struggle to change society today.

We spoke to Joe Solo on his views on the role of artists fighting the far right and the signs we need to learn from the historical memory of fascism and why he supports the Solidarity park project.
