We’re taking the last podcast of 2021 to take a look at the leadership roles of the Chief Data Officers and the Federal Chief Data Officers Council, and the work they are doing to help create a data infrastructure, and build a culture of data.

As our regular listeners know, we’ve been hosting a series of events as a part of our RegTech 2021 series, sponsored by Donnelly Financial Solutions. The RegTech 2021 series was capped off with a panel that examined Data Coalition's ESG Working Group’s recommendations on how to improve Environment, Social and Governance data ecosystems among financial institutions and regulators.

The Data Coalition and DFIN hosted a conversation with members of the EDM Council ESG Working Group that focuses on the results of its Corporate Reporting Entity findings in part 3 of the RegTech 2021 Series. The report is one section of a larger body of work that contains the results of a nine-month study to investigate, review, and document ESG data challenges through a collaborative, cross-industry approach with data professionals, corporate sustainability reporting professionals, ESG subject matter experts, and other business leaders.

On September 24, President Biden signed into the Congressional Budget Justification Transparency Act (P.L. 117-40), after passing the House and Senate with strong bipartisan support. This episode explores what the new law will mean for government oversight and spending transparency.

This episode of Data Share we will hear about the Policing in America Project. The project was created to gather information about perspectives on police activities in the United States and calibrate new insights. Residents in Cook County, Illinois, and Dallas County, Texas were surveyed about public perceptions and experiences with the police.
