On this episode of On The Flythe, Stevie Flythe sits down with Drew Nichols, founding member of the early-‘90s pop group PC Quest. Drew takes us behind the scenes of the band’s rise to national attention, including the story of their hit single “After the Summer’s Gone,” which climbed to #41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and came within a whisker of breaking into the Top 40. We also discuss their other charting success, “Can I Call You My Girl?”, and what it was like navigating the music industry during a rapidly changing era of pop music. Drew shares memories from the road, opening for legendary artists and performing in front of thousands of fans across the country. He reflects on the excitement of touring, the friendships formed along the way, and the lessons learned from sharing stages with some of music’s biggest names.Plus, we catch up with Drew to find out what he’s been doing since his PC Quest days and his continued passion for music. It’s a fun and nostalgic conversation filled with stories, memories, and a look back at one of pop music’s most underrated groups.
